Her wings rustled yet again at the idea of someone being so accustomed to the cold, especially with little next to nothing on to protect themselves. Granted, she had thinner bones and didn't take very well to extreme climate change, she still couldn't imagine someone being used to this kind of weather. Regardless, it seemed as though this guy was having a a slow time waking up -- or, he was just boozed up. Noting this and his (as far as she could tell) relaxed demeanor, she wasn't entirely uneasy being around him, and his grogginess almost seemed..endearing. Atleast for the time being.
She was not good at being subtle, at all. Aria's body then suddenly came alive with the intent of explaining herself, and where she was actually staring, though his comment quickly seized her rising anxiety. Maybe he had a bit more than she expected. "H-..I wasn't staring at every--I was looking at-.." she muttered, just so he couldn't say otherwise once he sobered up, but his comments prompted her to lightly tug at her hat and attempt to hide her embarrassed, stifling smile. He did have a nice body to draw--BUT she wasn't. Looking. There.
After a few moments, just as she was about to regain her composure, Aria stiffened upon lifting her cap and was met with a rather devious smirk belonging to the young man. By now, she could smell the faint scent of booze on his lips as it wafted into her personal bubble along with the inense heat of her slight panic. Her eyes then stretched as her face flushed; her pursed smile tightened even further as she tried to ever so casually cross her arms over her chest. She wasn't sure if she wanted to laugh, turn away, or offer him a shirt, but if he wanted to be funny, she could try to be funny as well. Anything to make this seem less than what it felt like to the poor winged girl.
It was one simple whisper, an innocent retort to break the ice, and as she assumed before, it was probably best to keep a happy drunk happy. If he was naturally a happy drunk. In response to his questionable purity, she whispered, "I'm not sure if I should believe that or not." and accepted his offering of the flask. The smell, as she expected was strong, but she made no apparent attempt at taking a swig herself. It was a familiar gesture she experienced many times over living out on the streets; after finding the few who were either too drunk to flee in terror of her oddities or to worn down by life to judge, she had found herself a group that had invited her into their humble family of the lost and weary.
They were a kind, older group, not the best role models with their unending vices, but kind. But like many of those left to live on streets, they relied heavily upon them, with the most familiar being booze. As she gently shook the flask and its contents, she could recall the burning in her throat after her first, second, third drink, followed by the echo of coarse laughter. It felt warm at first, but it only proved to be a fatal cure when it came to enduring those frigid winters. Dismissing the thought, she turned her attention back to the sandy-haired teen as she quietly held the flask in front of her. "You actually like this stuff?" It seemed the comfort of her memory rang clearly in her tone as she spoke to him, but quickly snapped out of it. "I mean, it's pretty strong-smelling."

A suddenly chuckled came forth from Josiah as she doubted his 'purity'. "We're all angsty for some reason or another" Josiah dryly joked. He wasn't lying. Josiah was still in his purity in his youth, an awkward teenager always never has the chance. Now pair that angst ridden teenager with someone 5 year older than him, complicate the relationship soup--and you keep the virginity. Josiah didn't really care about it that much, he wasn't his dad with the sort of actions he did. The blush on her face sent a message to him. She was impressionable to an extent. He could use this. Maybe. However it didn't matter now. Her sudden picking up of Josiah's less-than-signature scent, made him wary. Wondering for a moment of if she would tell the headmistress.
Her timid nature was a tad charming, but it was sent out the closed window once she herself took the flask. He doubted a girl like this would take the flask herself and get a hold of it. To say the least Josiah was surprised. His eyes widened a bit along with his smirk turning into a widened smile. However it was merely her sniffing the flask. Nothing too surprising. Yet her smelling the flask like a meek animal was cute.
"Whatever knocks me on my a** fastest." He responded with a chuckle, he smirked. "One time I seen a tour guide drink straight from medical alcohol..." He laid back down--waiting for her to drink

Aria cocked her head, unsure if he meant that he didn't have the best 'first time', or if she had made herself seem like a jerk trying to be witty/funny. In terms of purity, it seems she didn't even have the opportunity to deal with things of that nature, much less relationships. Or what she preferred....well, she liked boys. Boys? Men. There was a difference there, but she couldn't decipher which one she would take the time for. They were nice to look at, but...with the pull of her muscles in her back, she remembered other things took top priority. How would she know what was deemed a "good" first time, anyway? She herself hadn't experienced anything of the like, though there were times where she would wonder what it felt like to share a napping space with someone. Her lids suddenly grew heavy, a nap did sound heavenly, actually.
As she took another whiff from the lip of the flask and wrinkled her nose, she cocked a brow at him. "Straight? That sounds disgusting. Might as well have drank iodine, that stuff's meant to make you vomit." Her azure gaze then zeroed in on the curvature of his lips, looking them over as though they had completely monopolized her attention much like his scar had moments before. but not even a few moments later, she averted her stare as her sapphire optics flickered back to the lip of the flask. '...he doesn't seem like he has anything.' It was stupid to think someone was clean just by looks, but she figured he didn't just hand it to her to simply hold. In any other situation, this would seem like a delinquent's invitation to the dark side, but in her eyes, it felt similar to the initiation she felt with those back home. So after deducing that it was probably safe to, she took a small swig before hastily tearing it away from her mouth. Her lips pursed as her face twisted into into one of pained resilience; what she failed to remember was that she was not the best at taking the full gulp, and rather, kept the burning liquid in the pit of her mouth.
Her face flared red as she shook her head in unwanting surprise. "M-Mmph-!" Itburneditburneditburned.

Aria's eventual drinking of the flask's contents was eye widening to him 'Way to go wall-flower' He smirked as he watched her as he laid down. Suddenly a strange flicker of light came about as a raised hand from Josiah was motioned. It plucked the flask from her hands. As he visibly noticed her winces. It annoyed him, being the cause of something like that "Do it if you only want to." He grumbled. Not show much of a lick of remorse as the flask swiftly traveled back to his hand as if light took itself
Josiah sat up. His eyes flickered towards her. The bit of frustration towards himself travel to her through the ferocity in his eyes. He wasn't angry at her. More angry at himself, he didn't want to be the cause of someone's life ******** up. It wasn't in him. Especially with something like this. "I guess this is what they call peer pressure. Hrmph. Don't really feel so nice on the other end. Being the one pressuring I mean" He said fuddling about his words. The hint of guilt didn't waft the same way as the smell of alcohol, but it still showed. The scowl hid it, but responsibility came late to Josiah--often with some results that didn't work. Josiah rubbed the back of his head for a moment
"You're cool enough. Just don't do s**t that you don't like--'Kay, Blue?" He nicknamed her on the azure eyes she bore. Josiah leaned back for a moment. Taking out his phone, staring at a picture of Bryn. His blonde haired girl, contemplating his actions with a bit of shame for a moment--as if she judged him through the frozen moment of time.. He felt like an a**. 'Guess I'm still a kid myself huh?'He put away the phone. He looked towards Aria. Thinking she didn't deserve his gruff, nor his little habits.
"You got a name? Normally I don't let people have a little indirect kiss with me without a name" He asked as he sat, hands in his pockets. Something to take away from the moment

As she all together swallowed, coughed, and waved her hand in an attempt to assure him that Death was not upon her just yet, she hardly noticed the flask being taken from her grasp, much less the abnormal light that stole it away. Once the burning swill coated her throat and took final residence in the pit of her stomach, Aria drew in a sharp breath before giving her head a slight shake. Her large wings beat only once out of reflex, and was finally able to speak. "I'm fine--I've drank before! It's the actual drinking part I...have trouble with.." she insisted, her voice slightly cracking as she exercised her now raw vocal chords. Why she felt the needs to prove her past experiences might've been a mix of personal pride and the anxiety of first impressions, though she was sure it was also a reaction to his apparent concern. Or frustration that she caused such a fuss because of something he wasn't technically supposed to have, based on the hardened look in his eye. A weak, apologetic then smile crossed her lips as she wiped whatever excess and remnants of horrified embarrassment from her lips as her cheeks retained a hot rouge.
"I am an adult, I can make my own decisions. Even if I..suck, at following through with them." The blonde smoothed the front of her sleeveless hoodie as she spoke as if to distract herself from confessing her slight misgivings to this unfortunate soul standing before him, though she hoped it eased his mind in some way. Though he was still a stranger to her, she always tried to make it a point to put the comfort of others (socially, anyway) before her own, partially because her appearance was the cause of their discomfort. Usually there was yelling and hysteria, but what she hadn't accounted for was odd confusion of his hardened tone, and a nickname..? Blue. Perhaps a slip of the tongue. Blue. He didn't know her name yet so, what else would he call her. But Blue. She was sure it was the drink talking (it was a swig, but it was better to say she was a lightweight) but the mere utterance of a nickname for her made her chest flutter with something she could describe as delight. Perhaps this was the true initiation into the dark side..
It was then that her delight shifted into a frazzled discord within herself. She clasped her hand over her mouth with an audible clap as if to protect her lips from such accusations. 'I-Indirect k-kiss...why'd he have to say it like that..!' Streaks of red ravaged her face as she mentally swatted away the heated thoughts now feverishly flooding her mind like a really, really bad shoujo, all the while reminding herself that she had to keep her composure. He was still a nameless stranger after all, she couldn't let him get to her like this! Upon releasing her mouth, she pulled her arms into a tight fold over her chest before sputtering, "Y-you're the one who offered!" The winged girl then paused. "...the drink, not the other--just. Hmgh." As much as she wanted to implement the technicalities of that offer, she knew she needed to calm down, her wings were already painfully ruffled if her face didn't make her clumsy emotions already transparent. "Aria. Ari is fine. Or the other one is fine, too...yourself?" The name Blue flittered into her thoughts yet again as she pondered just how stressful the Dark Side truly was.

He looked to her with an eyebrow raised, he admittance to drinking wasn't much of a saving grace for her in his eyes. Her cracking voice show more of a prey item to Joisah than anything.
"Don't be the cliche. If you can't drink, don't--I'm not this cool kid wantin' to act cool for now reason. And I only offered 'cause I thought you'd be able to handle it" He sat up and patted Aria's head. "Don't be someone you're not, kay?" Josiah uttered in a huskier voice than before. His eyes seemed concerned, but strict--however the passing by of the scenery against his own faint and light blue eyes seemed as if a different landscape lied in there.
Aria's visible flustered behavior was humorous. To him he started to noticed t little impressionable girl. Made him wonder in what light was he viewed upon. Even he words of the cheesy 'indirect kiss' made her even more flustered. It was true that a he did offer the flask, but he thought Aria would be down--not expecting for her to be one of those girls to back down once the reality of the world be set in. He was wrong, mostly. She had spunk, but nothing for Josiah to be acknowledging in the same way if a kid like himself came along. Josiah began to deviously laugh as she began to barricade her mouth from the already done was cute, but it didn't do much Josiah as he laid back down.
"Josiah. Josiah Wayland" He responded "Son of the infamous Ulysses Wayland. Adventurer and Archaeologist extraordinaire!" He said with a dry seethe the ended in a groan. As he laid down he put his hand over his face--mostly his eyes, as if to hid himself.

The blonde's smaller frame reflexively flinched as he raised his hand, though she fought the reaction enough to hide it under the guise of a slight shudder to the cold. She silently cursed at herself for the unintentional reaction, but feeling the weight of his hand resting on the crown of her head distracted her from her self-criticizing, even if for only a few moments. They seemed heavy and calloused, yet he took enough care to not muss up her hair even with his natural gruffness; it was a gentle gesture that made her feel small, but not in the sense of inferiority.
Though his words rolled off his tongue like gravel, the oddly brotherly tone prompted her to meet his icy gaze. His stare was hardened and piercing, as if in a perpetual state of cynicism of those around him, and yet, there was an uncertainty about them. Something nervous or restless, though it was hard to pin point with his smug, cackling forefront. 'He talks like he's one of those older kids from school..' Solidifying this thought, it was then that she noticed just how much taller he was in comparison to herself, which furthered her idea of him being at least a bit older than herself. He was so tall in fact, that she then realized she only came to reach the peak of his bared chest. How could he not be cold with just sweat pants on? The thought puzzled her, though her mind did wander to the very thing being displayed before her; perhaps he was just naturally warm, hence his comment earlier about the cold nor the lack of clothing being a bother to him. If that was the case, he must've been comfortable napping just about anywhere with a comfy surface, even without covers! The girl's lids drooped as the temptation of a nap was yet again brought to her attention, as well as to where a nice place to nap could be found. The distraction of flesh straightened her lips into a shameful thin line, no, stop it. As she was sure he would've made for a great pillow, she knew now was not the time to depend on a nap to get by. Or think of her new acquaintance as a pillow, for that matter.
Caught in yet another bout of staring, Aria hadn't returned fully to reality until his voice shattered her train of thought and the warmth of his palm vanished, leaving an uncomfortable emptiness in its place. It then was in that moment that she realized her wings had partially cocooned around her frame, though most would've seen it as an attempt to stretch, and fervently snapped them back into place. "..Feels like it's harder to be yourself when you're out there." Where did that come from? The comment came swiftly, though it sounded more like a string of lazy mumblings, but it was the quick way that she retorted that surprised even her. It was monotone, critical, something she never intended to be, at least not outwardly when she could help it, so she searched for yet another distraction. Thankfully, the distraction came easily once she noticed the less than enthused way he spoke of his name, or rather, spoke of his father.
Carefully, she would watch as his form laid to rest, then frown as he shielded his icy blues from view. The assumed sarcasm dripping from his introduction made his distaste for whatever quite clear, but asking directly seemed a bit intrusive to the girl. "Okay. 'Josiah'.." His name trilled off her lips, leaving them with a soft breath that seemed way too unfamiliar to her. "Does the infamous son have a headache?" She asked, but began rummaging through her bag before he could find his answer, and produced a bottle of water to offer him. "A drink for a drink. Since you tricked me into that indirect kiss. And, drinking that stuff on a moving train isn't really...good for the stomach.."

As he lied there, Josiah felt slowly returning back to the sleep in which he sought before. Aria kept him interested for the time she was here, but somehow he couldn't shake the feeling of napping sounding like a better idea by the minute. As he rested he wondered about his Father. Ulysses. Ulysses was a womanizer, a constant tail chaser and most of all a man who went through strife to find purpose. As he looked at Aria from the tiniest of slits from his peaking eyes he began to remember moments where his dad was the savior. Where his influence despite not being the best was still there. More so than he could say for anyone else. However it was a dilemma that he faced when his father wasn't the best example of how someone should act.
He'd journey with him across continents just to get to some ruin inaccessible by train or car. Or even leave him with the most unsavory people, like grave robbers, black marketeers, and poachers. Somehow when he looked to the window as his eyes reflected the outside landscape.
He thought about the two day war he raged. A two day war that he promised to never enjoy, but did. Why was it that he, someone who could clearly charm woman like his father so interested in that world that claims lives for fun. Once Aria spoke he came to life again. He noticed her mumbled words, but decided not to instantly answer them
"I handle my spirits fine." He scoffed as he rolled over to look towards the window. "And I didn't trick you with an indirect kiss! I just like picking on kids." The way he said kids wasn't insulting, but he thought himself an adult. A man already. The drinking. The big brother act. Josiah wondered where this train was really going with his thoughts and worries coming with him.
"Sometimes it's better for some people to not be themselves..." He mumbled, his words felt as if they had an inward feeling. However drifted eyes becoming distant and gone
Off to daydream about another instance in his life

Cassidy Winters The Aerobic Cat♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧ Cassidy sat at the window seat, her mind off in the distance. She was in deep thought. She thought about her life, and how she got here. She was with her guardian at one point, and then she got the letter. A letter that told this English girl to go to Russia. Her guardian wasn't sure what to make of the letter, but Cassidy had a gut feeling that she had to go. And now here she was. On a train, in Russia, going to a school she couldn't even look up on because she had a 'gift'. Cassidy blinked, turning her head to the side to look at the other passengers. Now normally she liked being alone, it gave her time to think and to complete projects. On the other hand it was nice to have someone to talk to... Now... Who could she talk to was the question for this train ride. There was a young man, probably around her age if not a year older day dreaming, and then there was the blonde woman. Both didn't seem to be in the mood to talk.♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧

Her expression fell into one of quiet surprise towards his just as equally off-handed response. As much as she could've easily written it off as the mere mumblings of a tired man, she couldn't help but to padlock his words into her memory like a footnote to herself for later. The skin over her knuckles tightened and bled white as her fingers tightly curled around the strap of her bag, but eventually relaxed in the passing moments. 'Definitely keeps things easier..' His words were definitely thought-provoking, as she was sure that most of the kids here felt and thought similarly, with apparently she and himself being no exception to the feeling.
The nauseating rush of her memories from the years before brought on a dull throb in her temple as the once unnoticeable ache of her lengthy flight here had suddenly became apparent in her remembrance, settling in a knot between her shoulder blades; she was tired, not because he was, but simply for the fact that her reason for boarding such a strange train with these strange people had once again became plainly clear. As much as she wanted to deny being the thing that she was, no matter how much easier her life could've been living as a forlorn cryptid, she still needed to figure out what she truly was, or was meant for in this world.
The winged girl's eyes rested at the window in an attempt to distract herself from the headache, then sighed as they traveled back to the young man's resting form. Like her, he was exhausted, in what seemed to be every essence of the word, though she had yet the time to nap. Although the detour was unexpectedly...pleasant, she still had her cabin to find, including her teammates inside. Still, she felt a comforting feeling in seeing the solid body of this person, Josiah. Though he was coarse sort of teen, his first impression left her feeling a bit more solid herself than she did since climbing aboard, even if they weren't meant to be on the same team. He felt warm. Small embers, but warm. "Well," she breathed, her voice softening as she relaxed from her flustered outbreak moments before. "Maybe we'll find what we need to change that. Never know what might be better." Her words, like before, were spoken quietly so they filled only the space between the two as she knelt down and set the bottled water beside his perch. Perhaps her own little gesture of friendship, or concern from one stranger to another.
"Later, Jay." It wasn't the most clever nickname, but she figured it was good to return the favor. An unexpected tender little smile then blossomed across her lips as she turned to head for the door; whether or not this could've been seen as just her lacking means of spatial awareness or her idea of a subtle gesture of affection, the lengthy ebony tips of her wings grazed his form as she turned to leave, leaving him little time to react in terms of building space between them, and silently sauntered away. She tugged at the hem of her cap as her startling blue orbs flickered over to the crimson-eyed blonde nestled in the window, offering her a passing nod. She would have to apologize to Angelica and Mikado later, but for the time being, she needed to find her cabin.

"Numma"╔══════════════╗☯╔══════════════╗ Numma eyed a blonde as she exited from a doorway and left down the hall. Curiously, he went for where she had departed from and peeked inside leaning against the door frame. His wide eye scanned the area just to see a couple of people doing absolutely nothing. How dreadfully underwhelming. Being on a magical train with a bunch of weirdos, he had hoped the trip would have been a but more entertaining than whatever this was. He sighed then just walked right on inside anyway. "My, has everyone on this godforsaken place dropped dead or something 'cause it certainly seems that way," he cooed with a wide exasperated hand gesture. "Is either one of you on team Dragon? I still haven't come across anyone on my team yet." He proceeded to flop onto a chair folding his scarred legs underneath him. His topaz eyes looked over to the female, "Ah, you have blonde hair too," he said to himself. He just wanted to try getting a conversation going. If he failed, he'd just move on to another person. He reached up and messed with his disheveled hair for a bit. ╚══════════════╝☯╚══════════════╝ "Once you lose all sense of self, what are you but an empty shell wishing for a purpose." Cassidy Winters The Aerobic Cat♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧ Cassidy watched the little interaction between Aria and Josiah, and smile before looking away. They seemed to be interested in one another or at least Aria did. When the girl left Cassidy chuckled, "So close friends?" she asked to the daydreaming Josiah. She didn't expect a reply though. As she leaned back in her seat and watched the clouds and snow go she found herself distracted by another male who walked into the room. "I am not... I don't think?" Cassidy said not remembering what group she was part of anyway. "Why yes... Yes I do. And you have what? Minty Fresh Hair? That's pretty unique." She said right back to him before lending a hand to shake, "Cassidy Winters. Team Unknown... As of this moment... Too lazy to see."♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧

Josiah listened the blonde woman as he stared out towards the zooming landscape. The nickname game was played both ways. He didn't mind the interaction. He felt somehow his comments made an impact on her. Whether for good or not would sort of haunt him.
Once another blonde girl came towards the shaven head male, he stayed his eyes on the landscape. He chuckled at her query. But said nothing from then on

"Numma"╔══════════════╗☯╔══════════════╗ Numma watched the female curiously as she interacted with the distant looking guy. Then he listened as the female replied to his question. He was a bit disappointed that neither of the two said they were with him. Well, he still had plenty of time to search around for his elusive teammates. His eyes widened a bit at how she responded to a comment that wasn't entire meant for her then spoke about his own hair. "Hmm? Oh!" he smiled, "Yeah, I haven't seen anyone with this color hair before," he added. He moved closer as she offered him a handshake and took it. "You know it's just written on the back of your invite letter, yes?" he commented before letting her hand go, "You can just call me Numma!" He giggled softly, "At least you're honest to yourself about your laziness." He folded his hands behind his back, "This world is full of liars."╚══════════════╝☯╚══════════════╝ "Once you lose all sense of self, what are you but an empty shell wishing for a purpose." Cassidy Winters The Aerobic Cat of Team Onyx♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧ Cassidy perked up an eyebrow when Numma mentioned that her team name was on the back of the invitation. "Oh boy I'd love to check that out, but... Eh... Can't... Reach it..." Cassidy reached her hand out to try and grab her bag by her feet, but she was clearly not trying being as she said before, lazy. So she lifted it up with her foot, and grabbed it before slowly zipping it open. She pulled out the invitation and looked at the words, "Team Onyx." she said before putting it back away. "Well... People HAVE to be honest about something Numma. And you'll find that I have little to lie about."♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧
