"Is that really a record?" Glitnir asked, studying it closely. "It looks like one, but it's probably just a discus that disguised itself somehow. Maybe. I haven't heard of Knight weapons changing to fit in to the modern world." He scratched his head with his free hand, trying to figure out how to accomodate the questions. "Magic just... does it. It's like some force that can be programmed to do all kinds of things, and one of these things is creating our transformations. Don't think about it too hard just yet. Instead, look for other Knights and ask them about their experiences. Things will fill themselves in bit by bit."

Cordoba nodded a bit, but stared at the weapon and tilted her head, blinking slowly.
"But it's a discus? And howe is magic unexplainable if it can be programmed?"
Still, she sighed, nodding slowly to acquiesce to the man whom clearly knew far more (and got away with not explaining it all for now because it made her eyes glaze unintentionally. She still felt bad!).
"Someone or something must know how to program it. I'm afraid that you'd have to ask someone who's looked into the magic to learn all the details." Though Glitnir was getting a little tired of dealing with someone who didn't "jump at the call," he couldn't blame Cordoba for being skeptical. The closing question was simple, but also very good. "What now? What you do is, at night, power up and patrol the streets. You'll meet all kinds of people doing the same thing: allies you can learn from, enemies you have to defend people from. If I had to put it in one word, I'd say your mission is learning." He took a few steps away. "You can start by learning the layout of this city. Would you like to come with me?"

End with them patrolling on your post, maybe?

This works!
Cordoba nodded slowly.
"I can try...? I work many nghts though." She admitted, blinking widely. "I mean. Stuff. Uhm."
Deciding it best to nod, the page took his arm rapidly, blinking.
