Dezani Post 2
"Running won't stop anything. It won't make them want to turn back. Running will simply show them that we're afraid and they can take advantage of that. Whose to say once they take Sauti that they won't continue to push forward if we flee? It shows they have no opposition with taking our land. We have to stay and fight and hope that we win in order to keep this threat from spreading. It's the only option we have. If we run then we're just giving into them," Dezani spoke out, looking at the leaders as well as scanning the crowd. He was trying to force himself to stop shaking, but it was a bit hard to do. He'd said a lot, and to people he didn't know on top of that. It drained quite a bit of his energy to do such things.
Zumei Post 1
Having heard all the rumors and commotion, Zumei had made her way away towards the gathering crowd and the leaders on stage. She'd never met one of these Alkidike before, but from what everyone was saying they sounded really dangerous! She wasn't a fighter or anything, but she would try her hardest to defend her home and father. She didn't want to be taken over by anyone, and if people wanted to run then fine. They could run and hide while others defended Sauti. She'd gladly fight for her land if it meant keeping her freedom.
"This is my home. Of course I'm going to fight and defend it. Why wouldn't you want to defend against invaders?" she muttered more to herself than anyone else. She was just very confused why anyone would want to run if they were from Sauti.

NEIBET POST 1
Neibet raised an eyebrow at Aselia, listening with half an ear as she spoke. The rest of her attention was on the gathering crowd and the words she could hear being spoken around them. Between what she was hearing and the suspicious glances sent their way she was on edge. There was a tension to the crowd that she didn't like. It was something more than anticipation. "Perhaps they have to do a ritual to summon it." She replied, eyeing a youngling that had strayed a little too close before its parent snatched it away. Or someone she assumed was its parent.
She didn't bother to reply to the comment about the others having guts. Neibet had seen that for herself already.
What really bothered her though, was what this earthling was saying. Her sisters wanted to go to Sauti to claim it? That was news to her. The last she'd heard was that there was talk about reclaiming the land stolen by the color changing earthlings. Sauti was a bit too far to claim, without having first re-taken the forests. It would be like dividing their forces without checking first what obstacles lay in the path.
The Alkidike let out a breath as she thought it over. With Aselia here and not at home enjoying the celebration dedicated to their mother, she could see their reasoning. It didn't mean she had to like what the earthlings were implying and the steps they'd take to prevent it.------------------------------
KDAL POST 2
Dakri murmured softly as he settled down on her shoulder, wings flared as he caught his balance. He nibbled on her earlobe to catch her attention and she raised her hand to scratch his cheek. "Have you seen the others?" She asked, worried for the two she traveled with. She might not be as skilled as Zuberi but at least she could fight. A little. L'lhynd on the other hand was probably scared out of his wits with all the talk of fighting going on.
Purring Dakri walked down her arm so that she could launch him up and circled around for a moment. Spotting the now familiar Matorian he made a beeline towards him, kreeing happily as he circled around over head. Kdal followed at a slower pace, having to push through the crowds to find the two. "Zuberi! L'lhynd!" She called out, struggling to make her way to where she spied her familiar.

L'lhynd Post 2L'lhynd thought he might collapse when he was stumbling back again, only to find that Zuberi was trying to keep him close. It made sense, L'lhynd was leading them blindly with no regard to those around them. He even found himself shoving rudely past others with little regard to personal space, though usually he took it into great consideration. His gaze was wide and terrified, eyes darting down to Zuberi's legs. They were long, and strong! He shouldn't be tugging L'lhynd back, forcing them to go slower!
His eyes caught a glance of his hand, so tightly latching onto Zuberi's, and he wondered briefly when that had happened. It felt safe though, good. "Hurry up! We have to go, we have to leave here.. we can't... I can't go... I can't go back to that..." His voice had started out annoyed and bitter but in the end it had fizzled to the whispering again, pitiful and distant. He almost slammed right into Kdal, so occupied with glancing back at Zuberi. So when he wheeled back he did collide with Zu, though he had no time to worry over it. "Kdal, we have to leave here." He would repeat it as many times as necessary, especially because right now his face felt tight and his throat was starting to seize up, soon he wouldn't be able to breathe. "We have to go.... we have to leave Sauti... catch us... or kill... overpowering... won't be... we have to leave.." His voice had slipped into mutterings that didn't quite make sense, but it was quite clear how scared L'lhynd was at the idea of a war coming. It was almost like he thought the Alkidikes were coming within the hour.
His hand fluttered to his throat and he started to tug at his cowl this his free hand, his chest heaving as he began to take deeper breaths than necessary. "Can't breathe... can't breathe... need to leave..." His other hand still hadn't loosened from the death grip it now had on Zuberi. He was staring vacantly ahead now that they'd found Kdal, both wondering why they hadn't moved and why his legs weren't working. And if he was going to die finally, because he couldn't breathe at all.

alek post oneThe last time he had left Zena, he had done so without his sister's knowledge. Now, though she was at his side, he was perhaps even more apprehensive than he had been then. During the war, the Oban had only seemed interested in Jauhar, a land so far away that its importance was nearly nonexistent in his day to day life. But this time, the Alkidike had begun by threatening earthlings as close as Sauti. Of course, it was obvious in hindsight that the people of Oba wouldn't have stopped with the rainforest, but knowing that didn't help his current nerves. As far as this... plan that Freya was asking for... he had less than nothing to contribute. Aisha's warrior women were imposing, hardened, and fierce. There were even some here now. If he'd had anything at all to say, he would have been afraid to do so anyway.

Zuri - Post TwoShe nodded as a wind tribe member spoke. He was right, there wasn't enough room in the mountains for all of them. At least there wasn't enough room for them to all fit comfortably. "He speaks the truth. We can not all fit up in Zena. This is your land, and you can count on me helping to defend it."
So far from what she heard people wanted to stay and fight, which she was thankful for. Running didn't solve anything. She learned that when she ran away to Jauhar. No she was home now, and she would defend it alongside anyone who would stand next to her.
Seeing her brother she walked over and stood next to him. She didn't want him to fight, but if he did she would make sure to be by his side to protect him.

Onora Post 1Onora wanted to celebrate the festivities, especially since it was her first one outside of Matori, though when Vescillea and Freya came to speak about the threat, the crowd had an eerie silence. She didn't know how to feel, even though these Alkidikes were fighting against them now, she had no idea if they were some of the group who saved her homeland. "Do we have to fight?" She whispered to herself. Knowing that there was no possible way the people were going to let the offensive clan take the land, but she had no idea exactly how they were going to fight back. Her eyes roamed, searching for someone who would have a bit more information than she had. She spotted blonde hair on top of a stall booth, and realized it was Talin. She was able to maneuver herself around to get to him and waved her spoon, trying to get his attention. "Talin! Can ya get down here? Cause I can't get up" She said with a slight chuckle, though she knew this was a serious matter.

Zuberi Post 2The sight of Kdal's familiar circling overhead is what finally caught his attention. He turned in the direction the bird was flying and as he did he heard Kdal's voice through the crowd. Scanning the crowd, he spotted her. Taking started moving in her direction as L'lhynd panicked beside him. That worried him, but he couldn't lead L'lhynd out of the crowd without getting Kdal and he would have sent L'lhynd off without him while he searched, but he was worried about the Matorian. He looked too frazzled to be left on his own. He turned and saw the Wind Shifter. Reaching forward, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards them until she was standing at their side. As he did, L'lhynd slammed into Kdal and began rambling. Zuberi let go of Kdal's wrist, his brow furrowed as he took in L'lhynd's rambling. The water earthling was barely making sense and was obviously too frightened to do anything. Zuberi couldn't understand it. Why was he so afraid. Then suddenly he was complaining that he couldn't breath. Zuberi looked at Kdal, bewildered if silently asking what he should do. Then an idea occurred to him. He stepped towards L'lhynd and then wrapped his hands around his waist and lifted the Matorian in the air, so he was raised above the crowd. "Can you breath better?"

Talin post 2
He looked down and grinned at Onora. "Ah, but it's got such a lovely view up here! All this space for me to lounge in! I can spy some shifters... an oban.. Oh look, another lil matori! Looks like he's with the oban though...." Talin said as his eyes scanned the crowds. Suddenly he spotted two faces he realy didn't wnt to see here, in his land, at his people's festival at this time. Alkidike... "And some filthy bugs... Now what are they doing out here so blatantly?" He muttered to himself, eyes hard as stone.
He shook his head and looked back down at Onora, hiding the hardness under a cheeky mask. "It looks sturdy enough to hold both lurve,.sure you can't climb up here?"

Onora Post 2Onora laughed. There were a lot of people here, but when she heard a mutter about 'bugs' her lips went into a tight line. "They could be here to help us. We can't be mean like that. I see Obans here and you don't see me havin an itch about it?" She said semi-jokingly. The air went light again when he said she could probably get up there as well. "You just wanna see these big legs try to lift me up there!" She said with a giggle before she sighed. "Fine, I guess it doesn't hurt to try." She said as she tried to climb up, not letting her skirt fly any way it shouldn't.

Aselia Post 2
Aselia leaned against Neibet a little. "If that's the case why don't they hurry up with it? This waiting seems to be driving these crystal crawlers on edge. Not that it isn't funny to watch them squirm... a little." Her attention wandered through some of the chatter in the crowd as she spoke in her native tongue, a language only Alkidike knew. Focusing a little on the talk of Alkidikes, it amused her that so many of those talking had not even noticed her presence, let alone that of the few sisters with her. Well save for a stranger one. Her eyes met that of a strange blue earthling, possibly from Zena by the looks of him before she grinned and reached for an arrow. If he wanted to challenge her she would be more than happy to accommodate him. She had missed the wind earthling up in the tree.
"You know Neibet, I'm starting to wonder if the five of us can really handle the earthlings on our own. I sense a strange hostility in the air and adapted as we are... I don't think it's enough. Besides if we're wrong on how to find the bird. We will need more scouts." Turning away from Neibet she glanced back towards one of the slimmer girls. Pointing to her, "Isla you have the fast mount. Return to Chibale, ask if more of our most trusted sisters would be willing to come back out here. And tell them... Sauti is beautiful they really are missing it."
The girl nodded once before departing from the group. Leaning her head back she stared at Neibet a moment narrowing her gaze as it turned back to some of the words as it fell from the earthlings mouths. "Take Sauti?" There was a strange laughter from her as she turned to face the crowd again. "You know, I wonder if they might be onto something... If they are this branch broken... maybe they worry they are too weak to take us on. That could work in our favor. Earthlings took Jauhar from us. Giving them a little scar might help. Don't you think?"

Ai,iandaroch Post 1Ai peered up at the iceling and the wind with curiousity, he was unsure what to think after being pulled from the forge not too long ago, ember ash smell still clung to his skin and clothes. He had already put in a long morning of work and as such was feeling quite mellow, then again he was usually pretty mellow. He didn't want to loose his home or sauti to crazy alks but he wasn't really a blood thirsty person too bad an accord couldn't be worked out, why didn't those alks travel the coast and look for an uninhabited place to attack, what did the wind do to them anyway....then too they wouldn't like it up here probably, some would probably freeze their feelers off. So he kept quiet waiting to see what else the others would say. He only saw one familiar face in the crowd and she looked rather busy, so he would just see which way the magma flowed. He would protect those who's homes were in jeopardy..if he had to maybe peace would happen first if they were all lucky. Yithiron post 1Thorn was peeking around the crowds of people looking for Ime, he was sure she had come this way at some point. His brow furrowed as he looked for any sign of his tiny, beautiful girlfriend, she had to be here, this was were all the action was. Her mother lived in Sauti, it was a rough land but it was her home and just like with Tale he would defend it from the invaders. But first he needed to find his Ime, he would be by her as much as he could. Having her away from him was tying his big frame in annoying little knots and he was having none of it. She was relatively safe but after the slight dust up at her mothers he felt the need to stay close for support and for his own peace of mind. Sezarra Post 1She knew it! She never should have left her parents and siblings to deal with this alk threat on their own, now she was stuck here, she would get to Jauhar when she could but for right now there were other fronts to fight on. She grumbled about politics under her breath. This was the obans all over again another freaking land grab, why didn't they pick somewhere nice like tale it was perfect there, Sauti was cold and rocky and Jauhar always light on food for the two races that lived there. She peered around looking for anyone she recognized, where had Rue gotten to anyway?

Ming'we Post 2
She stood where she was, listening to the chatter of everyone else. Ming'we wasn't sure she could add more umph to her opinion. After all, her physical appearance should be enough to show what she thought. Alkidikes were ruthless and they would likely take over all of Tendaji if they could. As her eyes scanned the crowd she heard multiple people say they should fight to keep their home and if made her happy to hear it. Any signs of a smile quickly left her face as her eyes landed on something out of place. Alkidikes. Her eyes instantly narrowed. "We have company guys.." It was all she said. Really she didn't think she needed to say more. Someone would be smart enough to follow her glare to the source of her ire.

Ime- post 1
"Thorn!" Ime called. He was a hard person to miss, as tall and broad as he was. She rushed to her boyfriend and threw her arms around him, squeezing him as if affection could will the threats away. She didn't want another war, oh, Chi, she did not want another war. No more blood and broken spirits. No more death. She felt herself near tears but did not allow them to fall.
"What are we going to do?" she asked, knowing that one opinion did not speak for the entirety of the people in Sauti,"We can't let them take Sauti from us."

Chimelu Post TwoThe boy couldn't help but do a double take when the woman came up to him and pronounced this as her inn. He was quite awestruck because most inn owners seemed to be quite a bit older than the woman standing before him which showed him she was clearly a driven woman not to get in trouble with, not that he would. Then again, he supposed it was possible all inn keepers started out as young as her. Who was he to judge? "Umm. Hello, I'm Chimelu. Your inn seemed like a good place to relax and to ignore--well all this" He said, waving his hand in the general direction behind him. "Hope you don't mind?" He asked as if he needed permission. Maybe he did. Gyuri was a large man who could probably snap a neck with one hand if he wanted to. While Chimelu on the other hand, well, lets just say he wasn't going to be starring in any fantasies anytime soon with his lack of bulk. Chimelu held in a shudder that threatened to overtake him if he thought about the horrible things that could befall him should Gyuri deem him a threat. Again, why would he possibly think he was a threat? Maybe him standing here like an idiot was a good start. Showed some mental imbalance to be sure.

Kayin Post 1
Kayin's face bore a scowl as she stood with her brother. She did not like this situation, not one bit. Just what information were they going off here? Sure she trusted the leaders, but was this just speculation, or fact? And what could she do about it? She was just a foolish prentice with no real direction in where she wanted to go with her life, barely able to wield a weapon let alone defend the land from these potential invaders. Yet even more, she wished not to seem weak by just turning tail and running.
"What do you think of all this?" she asked her brother, looking at him.
