Room 270.... new coat... "Oh." He got it, his brows rising in surprise. "You got promoted." Eva was finally among the ranks of the Full Hunters. He smirked for her, "Awesome. You must be proud." Bigger room, better coat and more responsibilities. Ah yes, the life of a Hunter. "Looks good on you."

Letting the sides of her coat drop, Eva shrugged her shoulders and laughed. "Thank you! Annnnd yes and no, I guess. Proud that I finally got to this point, but not so excited to know what this is going to entail." Because more privileges obviously came with more duties to deal with too.
There was a bounce in her step when they arrived in front of her room. As she moved to unlock it, she paused to look at Otto. "...Don't judge, okay?"
Apparently that was her way of trying to prepare him for the disaster that was her room. To be fair, everything seemed pretty clean--she had spent a whole two days vacuuming, getting rid of debris, and replacing some of her things--but it was hard not to notice the holes in the walls.
Even if she had bought some cute baby animal posters and clumsily pasted them on top as a temporary fix.

Otto stared at the patchy walls. And he was judging harshly. So, so harshly. "You know..." He murmured, slowly setting the bins down. "Moon Hunters are good at repairs." Though they likely came at a price. "...Are you using posters to cover up holes?" They were placed randomly around the room, almost half-hazardly. He looked over at Eva and gave her a long, contemplative stare.

"Yeeeah, I was going to pay someone for repairs, but I haven't gotten around to it yet," Eva laughed nervously, brushing her hair behind her ear, "And uh...no. What are you talking about?" She glanced about shiftily and then cleared her throat, making her way into the room.
"Caaan I get you anything to drink? Snacks?" Unfortunately, since she was pretty much speed walking, she managed to stir up a bit of a breeze as she walked past the posters. The ones that hadn't been pasted on as well fluttered up to reveal gaping holes.
...
Without a word, Eva not-so-subtly leaned over and pat the posters back down.

Oh Eva. Ooooooh Eva. She was like an overgrown toddler. It was endearing and cute. He almost wanted to smoosh her cheeks in his hands. Oh God.. was that why she did that to him? How sad... "Subtle." He murmured with a shake of his head. " Eva.." he started, almost like he was going to scold her. "I've got plaster left over from when I fixed up my place. I can bring it over and patch up the walls for you." However... "It'll cost you a can of coke and somethin' to munch on."

Eva stiffened at what sounded like the beginning of a scold, more nervous laughter bubbling from her lips. "W-would you look at that, there are holes behind my posters! Where did those come fro--what?"
Her blue eyes popped wide open at his sudden offer, mouth dropping open. It took her a second to compose herself, but she looked rather uncertain. "Er, would...would that really be okay? I invited you over to chat, not to fix up my place." She did have a whole stash of pop and snacks though--she was super prepared on that front.

"Well.. I didn't say I had to do it now... just. Yanno.." He shrugged. " Whatever.." It's not like I wanna help you or anything, baka. "I still wanna just sit n' chat with you, anyhow." He did want to catch up with her. It had been a long time. And she didn't seem to change much at all, aside from her appearance, ever so slightly.

"Later, then! And of course I'll help!" Except the idea of Eva helping with plastering a wall somehow dredged up the images of her either getting plaster everywhere or somehow making the hole even bigger, but...eh.
She gestured for him to take a seat on the couch, though it was presently being occupied by a number of plushies. Judging by their carefully patched state, they hadn't come out of the destruction of the room completely unharmed.
Eva returned a few seconds later with a can of coke and an armful of snacks. She offered the can to Otto while dumping the rest onto the tabletop, chirping a happy "help yourself" before moving to perk on the armrest of the couch.

"That's okay.. I seen you bake cakes." He said in deadpan. Yeah, Eva. He went there. He took the can and opened it right away, taking a long, cold swig. The snacks were given a once over as he targeted his favourites among them. "So, what's the easiest way for us to catch up?" Asking What's New would be redundant. Everything was new.

Eva gasped loudly. "Hey! My cakes are--..." Hesitating, she trailed off and frowned, brows furrowing, "They're...look, I'll admit that they don't look that great, but they taste pretty good! I just haven't mastered the finesse of decorating yet."
"And hmm, I guess...what have you been up to lately in the past week? Anything interesting?" Swinging forward to grab a bag of chips, she popped it open and curled up legs up on the couch. Leaning against his shoulder, she munched away while staring up at him expectantly.

Otto smirked. That's right Eva. Admit your folly. But she was right. Her cakes usually tasted just fine. He recalled getting a delightful batch once while in the infirmary. He sipped his drink, eyeing the girl peering at him on his shoulder; owlish blue eyes staring expectantly. "This week? Not much. Hung out with Chance a lot. Visited Maebe." "What about you? Aside from finding silly posters to cover holes with."

Eva brightened at the familiar names, but said nothing about it until he directed the question back to her. Closing her eyes, she let out a long hum as she she tried to organize the past week in her head.
"Well, after I came back, I met Nellie," she ticked a finger off on her hand, "Tommy, Scorpio, Chance, and Shu." Dropping her hand, she reached for another chip and popped it into her mouth with a crunch. After swallowed, she turned her gaze back up to Otto and smiled.
"Lots of nice people since I left, huh? They were all super sweet."

Otto knew of Nellie from Twitter. Tommy and Scorpio he'd never heard of. Shu he was acquainted with. "I've run into Shu a couple times..." His eyes seemed to drift away. He wondered how people like Shu and Mik were still alive in a place like this. "Sweet, huh?" Well, he supposed. Shu was annoying, as far as he was concerned. And whiny. "I don't really know any of them other people. Who the ******** name's their kid Scorpio? Is that a nickname or what?"

"Shu's super cute," Eva smiled, obviously having no knowledge of Otto's own opinion of the huntress, "And uh...you know what? I'm not entirely sure about Scorpio." Screwing up her face, she slouched a little and let out a long, thoughtful hum.
"He's new here, I think? And he hesitated when I asked him for his name, so maybe 'Scorpio' is just an alias or something. He's really nice though!" That being said, being Eva, her level of tolerance for people was extraordinarily high. Maybe it was because she herself was sometimes that person that people had to learn to tolerate--her cheer could be a little, uh.

"Hm." Otto shrugged. Hunters came in all forms, really. People here were weird as Hell. "Well, makes sense. Bix doesn't sound like a real name either." There seemed to be a few people who went by aliases. Weirdoes, all of them. "Least no one got a silly name like Evangeline~." He grinned at her.
