How odd that Hijil should have male names to offer! Then again, maybe not. Bhima often forgot that they were not of the same sort and that male children often came from Shifter pairings. What would she even do with a boy? She wasn't entirely sure. Love him, definitely. Offer him the support he'd need, just as with any other child. Maybe it wouldn't be so hard after all. She nodded and smiled.
"That does sound like a strong name. Or how about... Donastin? Abel?" They could probably just spout names for days. "We should make a list, and then name them when they arrive, whatever fits them best."

“Abeni and Abel...” Hijil grinned, “Those sound like they go together.” Not that she would know, of course, that they were good twin names, having never met twins personally. She wasn't so sure about Donastin, but again – Hijil knew she didn't know what she was talking about, and Bhima did. “Is Dan a strong name?” she asked, “Or Korin?” Somehow, for some reason, she was starting to come up with names. It was remarkable, as if there was a mechanism inside of her - like those found sometimes in the ruins beneath the jungle matting - that just spat out ideas, one by one, it's pace growing faster and faster. “Anoli? Maybe... Seber?” The question was, would it stop now that it had started? “Yes. A list. That would be a good idea... But what do you mean, when they arrive? When they arrive here or...” she traced a finger over Bhima's muscular neck, “With you?”

Bhima grinned at the two 'A' names placed together. That might be cute, but would the children think so when they grew to young women or men? She couldn't be sure. She only knew a few sets of twins herself and none had ever shared alliteration as such. 'Dan' she wasn't too fond of, but Korin was nice. It sounded just a little harsh in the best of ways.
"Hold on, hold on--!" Bhima said suddenly standing to retrieve a scrap of parchment and the necessary accoutrements. She came back to sit right where she had been, giving Hijil a quick kiss on the cheek before setting in to write the names they had come up with so far. "What came before Abeni...?"
She paused a moment to look up at her love at her gentle touch.
"I imagined when they arrive with me? So I could have something to call them on the journey home other than 'you' and 'child.' If you'd prefer I wait, though, I'm sure we could figure something out."

Hijil shifted both to give Bhima room and to watch as she wrote the names down. “Ishida, Abeni – Abeni for both, Nena, Gamelen, Donastin, Abel, Korin, Anoli...” She waited for Bhima to catch up. She couldn't actually read very well, but she could guess by the lengths of the words, and the number of words that had been written. “Oh! Yes. That makes sense. 'You' and 'Child' aren't very good names...” Hijil blinked, “Oh! Unless... Mwana? I've heard that used for 'child' but I think its a name, too?”

"Ooh, that's a pretty one too," Bhima nodded, scrawling it beneath the others. It sounded especially feminine to her, but there was nothing wrong with that. She nibbled her lip, trying to think of more.
"So, be honest. Is there something specific you're hoping for?" She smiled cheekily and turned to Hijil.

“Specific?” Hijil smiled, “Oh, no...” She leaned against Bhima, snuggling closer, “Just... them. Whoever they are, whatever they turn out to be.” She giggled girlishly, “They'll be wonderful, whatever they are. Our children.” She kissed Bhima on the cheek again, curling her muscular arm around Bhima's back and bringing her in to kiss her again. She would never be tired of Bhima, that she knew. She would never have enough of her, or be satisfied with anything less than a life with her. She snuggled into her. “Go.” she reiterated, stroking her arm, “But not too long?”

Bhima wouldn't have minded if Hijil had a particular hair or eye color in mind, but it was reassuring to hear that she really didn't care. Their children would be beautiful regardless of their appearance and wonderful regardless of their personality, because they would be theirs. They would be the product of several years romance and agony and her and her lover's own sort of happy ending. She fell into the kiss and then wrapped her arms around Hijil as she snuggled in close.
"No, not for long," she reassured the Shifter in her arms, then kissed her head. "Only for just as long as it takes."
