Zinnia nodded and obeyed Osmond to the letter. Learning to box felt good, even though they were starting a bit too slow and safe for her tastes. She was impatient to learn how to defend herself, but she didn't let that surface as disrespect for Osmond. She understood that he was being very kind and generous to agree to teach her at all. So she threw herself into the work wholeheartedly.

Though they'd only been working for a short time, Zin thought that she could feel herself growing stronger. They'd finally moved on to sparring, which was exactly what Zin had wanted all along. It boosted her confidence in her fighting ability greatly, even though she never came close to defeating the older man.
The teen charged Osmond, but when her mentor sidestepped the obvious attack, she tripped and had to use her hands to catch herself against the floor. The jolt caused her beanie to fall off, and her messy bun, already loose from earlier in their exercises, fall apart. Zin hastily got back to her feet, tossing the thick sheet of hair back behind her shoulders as she resumed her fighting stance.
((I godmodded for Osmond slightly, please let me know if that is a problem.))
