"Good for the both of you then." Kyle quipped, a huge smile on his face when he noticed that Chance was already at the other end of the tunnel. It was a delight watching how the other hunter worked with his weapon and it made him wonder if part of it was due to the deeper bond that was forged between him and his partner.
< If you'll stop thinking so poorly of me like right now, I'm sure that it'll improve our bond instantly by leaps and bounds. >
< You do realise that it's kinda hard when you've hardly given me any reason to think otherwise so far? >
He shot Semaj down without so much as a second thought, a wry smile on his face now as he used his fist to smack a few of the creatures that decided to come from his blind side. "It's not the best but it definitely could be better."

He kept going, even if he was technically finished, because Kyle wasn't quite done and Chance didn't want to just be standing around when he could possibly be taking out more shadowlings. He strung another arrow, letting out a soft whistle.
"Have you tried using the weapons golems?" he asked interestedly, snapping the bowstring. "I used one of them before, they're relatively useful, I think, you get to see your weapon right in front of you."Status Wave: 6Attack Dmg: 11 Total Shadowlings taken out: 28 Recoveries left: 0

On hindsight, perhaps he was too harsh cutting off Semaj like that. Kyle sighed, moving quickly through the tunnel as soon as there was an opening while swinging his shuriken at a pair of shadowlings to get them out of his way. "No. This is the first time I'm hearing about them in fact. Is there any special clearance required in order to use them?"
Perhaps a weapons golem was something that he ought to look into soon. He wasn't ordinarily this prickly and he really didn't want this to escalate further then blow up in his face in the middle of something important like a mission.

"As a trainee, you get about an hour I think with your weapon golem before you have to return them to their regular state," said Chance mildly. "I've put Asher in a golem before, and it was rather nice. We got to sit and talk face to face, and I think perhaps that's something that could help you with getting to know your partner better."
He swung sideways sharply and smacked the bow across a cluster of shadowlings, missing them almost entirely. Status Wave: 7Attack Dmg: 0 Total Shadowlings taken out: 28 Recoveries left: 0

"I suppose that you've got a point there." Kyle concurred, filing the information away as an avenue that he would really like to find out more and explore, especially if it could potentially help him get to know Semaj better and help smooth out any misunderstandings that were forming between the both of them.
He was nearly at the exit now and in his haste to get to where Chance was, he tripped over the uneven ground that lined the tunnel, flailing and stumbling a few steps before he fell literally at the other hunter's feet.

"I'm okie I'm okie." He got up quickly, not at all wanting a repeat of the earlier instance when the shadowlings took the opportunity to overwhelm him entirely. Backing up a bit, he swung the shuriken at a few shadowlings who tried to pounce him regardless, only allowing himself to relax after he had personally made sure that there was no immediate threat to both Chance and himself in the vicinity.
"Finally! I thought I was never gonna make it..."

Chance had reached the exit first, and he waited there while Kyle finished up the last of the shadowlings, the end of his bow poking into the ground as he leaned against it. It was kind of amusing to watch; there were a few moments in which Kyle seemed almost to be overwhelmed again, but by the end, he'd gotten through it with a flourish.
He clapped his hands together and grinned, reaching out to pat the other man on the shoulder.
"Well done," said Chance lightly. "That's one course we've both managed to get through now! Feeling good?"

Now that the course was completed and he didn't need Semaj for anything else, Kyle returned the weapon to its totem form before smiling sheepishly at Chance's words. "Thanks. Sorry for holding you up. For a moment there, I thought that I was going to have to redo everything again." Thank goodness that it didn't come to that or the both of them would be stuck at the training course for an entire day because of him.
"Yeah. Though it's pretty obvious that I still have a way to go before I reach your level." It wouldn't be realistic to expect himself to be adept at everything given how new he was at Deus. But it wouldn't do for him to be complacent and stagnate either.

With a gust of cold air, Asher was also desummoned, a small, silver snowflake pin with tiny blue jewels appearing on the front of Chance's shirt. He gave a little laugh and waved out a hand.
"You didn't hold me up. And ********, I'm not that much higher above you, I'm still only an Intermediate. It'll take me a bit of time to get to the next level."
Chance smiled at Kyle. "I think you're doing just fine."

"If you say so." Kyle quipped in response to Chance's reassurance that he was doing fine and not holding him up in any way, stepping away from the tunnel exit for good measure as he chuckled at how humble the other Sun was when he spoke of his achievements in Deus thus far.
"But you can't deny the fact that being a ******** Intermediate is progress. How long did it take for you to get promoted though?"
