Shu'd said things concerning his feeling towards pains, but being called a pervert shoved every single bit of her worries down the steep cliff. "Nope, I'll tell her if you don't take your words back, Leslie." She tried to make a serious face. "What do you mean by that mouth?! My mouth is fine! And-" she took a deep breathe, "-after you told me your feeling to Abbi-chan, I no longer ship you two together." She might be a bit loud but who cared! "I-I have kissed my brother, but not on the mouth, just his cheek. I still have my first kiss-on-lip reserved." It was weird that she looked jittery for a moment. "Sibings can also share kisses, don't be silly Leslie.

Leslie just snorted and shook his head, only half understanding what she meant by shipping. "Saving yourself for someone special, huh?" he asked, eyeing Shu critically. "Don't bother. There's nothing good about waiting anyway."

Shu didn't notice whether Leslie understand the words she used, she was a bit emotional. "......I know how impossible it is," she sighed softly, "I know it can be just a wish, but that's the only thing I can do." That was what she always did, she didn't deserve to reach out for anything, she wasn't allowed to ask for any. Thus she waited, hopefully someone would discover her behind the door and give her a hand. She waited and only waited, she curled up and sat quietly, rested her head on her knees, staring at the door. She smiled, "Are you gonna find me someone?" Grinning, she said a harmless joke to sweep away the weird ambience. She never expect they would talk about relationships and romances one day. Hiding her face behind Mr. Ribbit, leaving her big and round eyes looking, "Leslie, how's your first kiss then?" Although she covered most of her face, her red ears may sell her out.

"Shu," Leslie said, pointing a finger at her, "I really, really don't ******** understand you, sometimes." Leslie shook his head with a grimace. "No ******** way, I still owe Abbi dates that I haven't been able to figure the ******** out. For like, months." He rearranged himself in his seat so that he could put his feet up on the edge of the hospital bed, to use it as a footrest. But at the mention of first kiss, there was a stutter in his motion, subtle, but noticeable enough that Shu would catch it. "None of your ******** business, that's how it was." There was a lie coming, well rehearsed and partially true. "Some girl behind the school, I was like, eleven. I thought I was hot s**t I guess and so did she. It lasted like, two days, as that s**t does."

Shu felt she was a good Death hunter, seeing how well her prying skill was. Thus, she raised a smug smile, "It must be the culture difference Leslie." She assumed he meant the not-English words she spoke or mentioned and used her hand to put his finger down. "No one tells you pointing at someone is impolite?" "You're not a good matchmaker Leslie, poor Abbi-chan, I think she's capable to get herself some dates though. Uh-uh." She nodded to herself that Abbi was such a sweetheart. Her eyes lit up like feline's sniffing out smell of mice, "Uh-huh, how many percent of it was true?" He was stuttered, but it didn't really resemble the blushing face she saw in movies or manga, something must be made up. Alright, she knew it's embarrassing to talk about it for a tsundere guy like Leslie, she would forgive him for not telling the truth.

"Whatever, being rude is just about not ruffling delicate feathers. Big ******** deal if I point at you. What harm does it do? You rather I poke you or something?" Leslie snorted. "And no <******** s**t, I'm not. No one's good enough anyway, so whatever." Shu's attempt to pry at the truth just got him to clam up, shifting from playful to cold. "Do you want me to pry into what ******** you up when you were a kid? Don't go digging around where you don't belong. Drop that s**t."

"You can poke my nose maybe, as long as I won't switch off like kittens do. Have you watched the gif about that? It's ridiculously adorable!" She didn't seem to mind his mean words at all. "It's a matter of fact, in my country, it's about respect though the whole etiquette thing in my culture is troublesome, I admit", she smiled, "but that's the interesting point to learn others' cultures." Shu grinned, "I'm better than you then, I found my friend a nice boyfriend." She was somehow proud of it, the encouragement and push she gave to Noemi for Milo. With his attitude changed, she pressed her lips together. "I don't like you use the word 'pry'. If you want to know it, just you ask and I will tell you. Aren't friends supposed to tell truth to each other? I treat you as a friend, Leslie, and I trust you won't tell anyone about it if I tell you so." The amber color of her eyes deepened, like condensed honey, she gazed at Leslie. "You only need to ask me." lurks beneath Wanna play with fire? emotion_kirakira <-- yandere sparkles (put Leslie on No.1 of murder list lol)

"No? I don't watch a lot of internet s**t. I didn't have it." Leslie shrugged. "Yeah yeah, maybe you should set Abbs up with someone instead then. I'll take that as you volunteering and s**t, no take backs, got it?" Was Shu really offering something in exchange? "Fine," he spat, looking around the infirmary, suspicious of wandering ears. " Fine. One secret for one secret, or whatever. You first."

"That's sad, I will download it to my phone and I'll show you, it's really cute!" Shu's eyes widened, unbelieving the shrewd boy just pushed his responsibility on her. "I can't believe it, Leslie. I'm not the one oweing Abbi, be a responsible brother! Wait - have you asked if she's dating someone already?" Her eyes followed Leslie to scan around, it was luckily a rare time that only sleeping patients and occasionally hunters on duty passed by. "Hmm....secrets....." She mused, thinking of which to start with. At the same time, she acknowledged of how shrewd Leslie was, why it was her first every time. She breathed out a grumpy air. "I'm an orphan, does it count?" She never actively tell anyone she was, so it counted right?

"Trust me. She's not." Abbi would have told him, if she was. Obviously. He grew quiet as Shu talked, the admission hanging heavy in the air. "s**t, Shu. Yeah, uh, of course it does." There wasn't pity in his eyes, but a newfound respect. She'd come this far, after all. Leslie sighed, leaning in close, dropping his voice quiet enough so that no one could hear. "My first was-- Uh. My...brother. I was like, a kid. I didn't...want. That. That's why. The girl-- she was the first that I like. That I chose." He pulled back, shoulders taut, shame written across his face.

She loved how assured Leslie sounded, there was a beautiful trust between them, so good. She waved her hands, "I don't mean my mom and dad die, but I'm disowned -" She mused, touching her face, "so...I guess I can say so." Her words didn't leak any sadness, even though in Chinese society, it was not common for whatever reasons. Shu leaned in closer, just a bit, or their head will collide. "Can you remember how she looked? How did you discover you have feeling for her?" She asked, shortly said, "I'm not prying...I just kinda want to know what signals you will have when you fall in love......there was so many feelings, how to distinguish it's love or not?" lurks beneath oh god leslie so precioussss on the other hand, I need duct tapes to seal her mouth :T

She looked at like like he hadn't just whispered an atrocity, and he looked at her in disbelief, feeling betrayed. "Jesus christ, then you're not actually a ******** orphan, you little--" Leslie hissed, recoiling, withdrawing back. "No, I said one ******** thing. That's all you ******** get." His lips pressed together, thin. "Besides," he barked, bitter. "I don't ******** know. Whatever part of someone that lets you love is dead and ******** gone in me, so don't ask me that kind of s**t. Don't you have better people to ask?" Leslie stood, abrupt enough to knock his chair back. "I'm out of here."

She didn't understand why he had such a big reaction suddenly, the look he gave her was "I couldn't believe it" but all he said was about a girl, she didn't quite catch the first part though his voice was too small. "But-but they said I'm a monster -" She replied, blinking in confusion. "Leslie - where're you going -" In panic, she flopped to catch his wrist but she forgot she shouldn't walk yet, so the pain dragged her reflex and she fell onto the floor. It hurt but she caught him when he turned back. "I'm sorry, you only said about the girl and I thought it's something I can ask. I have feeling for someone, not I don't know what it is - so when you said that, I thought I can ask you.....I'm sorry to hurt you." She didn't even really grab on his wrist, only circling it with her fingers, prostrating. The wound ached but she didn't want to lose a friend if she was the mistake.

He yanked his wrist away as if burned, fury on his face. "What? You're not a ******** monster," Leslie snapped, "you're just you. Christ, what are you doing, jesus christ--" The compassion that made him half-decent in the infirmary kicked in, even as his scowl intensified. He helped her up with a restrained grip, not holding too tight. Leslie snapped his jaws like a cornered animal, wordless and helpless. She just...hadn't understood. He hadn't spoken plainly enough. Did he really have to say it again? The shame had been bad enough the first time. "That is not all I ******** said, you just didn't ******** listen. The girl. That wasn't-- it wasn't the ******** important part." Hysteria crept into his voice. "I was trying to tell you something." He exhaled sharply through his teeth, producing his flask and drinking heavily from it, miserable. "My first," Leslie said, slowly but clearly, "everything. Was my-- my brother. I didn't want it. Do you ******** get it now?" Years later and it still hurt just as much as the first time, disgust and horror and shame, so much of it. "And that's why I-- I just, I can't. I don't know what it's like to be-- to like, people. Normally. Like, healthy. It's not there."

His words knocked firmly on her heart. She wanted to tell him they said so, in the hospital, waiting for the red lights of the surgical room to go off, but she just slightly opened her mouth. You are, how much he knew about you? You didn't tell him what you actually did - Thus she cringed, like it was an reaction to the pain. Leslie helped her sat on her bed again, despite the pain still rang in her mind, she was looking at him. She was glad he didn't leave. She watched as he struggled, voice mixed with pains she didn't understand but her eyes didn't leave him. She waited patiently until he was ready for it. His words rang in her mind, she caught it this time. Shu used her tiny body to wrap herself around Leslie, like a cool blanket. Her body never feel warm but a bit cool. She felt she did something awful to Leslie, how much energy and courage for him to say that out. "How could he....doing this to you? ....He's freakin' bad." She held him tightly. She wasn't sure what exactly everything meant, she just knew his brother did something that hurt Leslie too much. She might peek the reason why he was always so realistic, he didn't wish or talk about dream. Z would say Leslie make Shu break a record saying freakin', but like Shu didn't tell him everything, he can just think about it without telling the his petite partner. He was well acknowledged that moment should be only theirs. It wasn't pity or sympathy, it was the hurtful feeling that her friend was badly hurt. He didn't deserve to be treated like that, she couldn't sure what she would become if her siblings betrayed her. It was too horrible to think about, and - it happened to Leslie. She didn't know if boys had the thought of keeping first time for someone they liked, but definitely no one liked to have it taken unwillingly. Her own breathe raced because of the anger, Shu seldom really get angry unless the one she cherished being hurt. She wanted to rush to Leslie's brother face and punch it right until he regretted of what he had done. "It's not your first because you didn't want it, only the first time you wanted it counts!" She said quietly but certainly, she wished she could do something to make him feel better but she wasn't a smart thing. She was unlike Mimsy who was resourceful, she wasn't like Robert who can distract you with his shiny passion. She didn't like Noemi who is a sweet warm girl or a wise person like Jordan or Dylon. Not only her breathing, her body began to shake recalling something. It was so close that time - if not her brother came. It made the bloods inside her froze....... Stop thinking, you don't need that slice of memories. Her hug slightly changed, more like clinging as she tried to get rid of it but her expression was blank for a moment. lurks beneath #@$%^@#$ <-- me cursing She should really stop before she spat everything out /lies down Leslie I blame you!
