 Youmu Konpaku Youmu rounded the corner again, seeing a familiar scarfed figure.
"Gahhhh!!""Shijima, it's me! she called, calming the boy down a bit."Right..Right..Sorry Youmu-chan." Daichi's voice called, as he sighed a bit. "I've just been...A bit on Edge. Yamato sent us here because some threat has arrived.""Another threat?" she called, glancing back, and clutching her arm. "I think i might have met it..""You met it?! What do you mean? Are you okay?""I'm fine, Shijima." she called, rubbing her shoulder. "It took out the building I was in, but I managed to escape. Things are getting tougher.""Yeah...I know." Daichi added, glancing to the side. "But, we just gotta keep going on, right?""That's the idea..yeah." Youmu added, the air growing silent. Munakata Kei, the Deadly Nightshade of the Human Weapons Unit
"...I'm not simply a man who kills for no reason. Because the world is ending, I'll kill you. Because I need to find Kaori, I'll kill you. Because my time is short, I'll kill you..."Another riot, another victory without having to kill one of the citizens of the city...but this time the demons they summoned were stronger, more dangerous than the last. He wasn't sure how much longer he could continue to fight this battle to bring piece to the city without being forced to take a live. The very thought chilled him to the core as he slid the sword he had used in the battle back into its sheathe, his eyes worried, glancing around the street without catching sight of the person for whom he had been searching all this time. Kaori was somewhere...and he needed to find her.
And if he had to pacify every street corner in Tokyo before he could find her, he was going to do just that. He just hoped that this chaos, this deteriorating world, would not result in the loss of his own humanity.

Munakata Kei, the Deadly Nightshade of the Human Weapons Unit

Because my time is short, I'll kill you..."Another street corner, another squabble between citizens that he had been forced to intervene upon. A man and a woman were fighting over a loaf of bread, and one had gone to the App in order to secure their prize; Kei's katana knocked the phone out of his hands before the demon could be called...his glare sent the man scurrying away as the woman grabbed the bread and bolted in the other direction. He had stopped the fight, but he wasn't sure watching the woman greedily flee with her prize if he had done the right thing...the whole world was in chaos now...could he take sides so easily in the future?
"Kaori...where are you?" he muttered darkly, pushing away the thoughts of that woman's blood spilled across the bag of bread...that man's head upon the ground, his sword soaked in... "This situation...I don't want to change...who I am..."

Because my time is short, I'll kill you..."It had started as an accident...a battle against a deadly Bai Suzuhen pushing him to the brink, an accidental slash striking one of the summoning terminals. And then the ground had rumbled, a power streamed forth; holding his phone to the sky, it was within the flash of light that he felt a power fill him that was foreign, not his own. Eyes flashed as the Bai Suzuhen unleashed a torrent of ice...but its target was gone, the swordsman-slash-killer leaping inhumanly high overhead and descending, an arcing slash cleaving the frosty devil in two! His feet landed smoothly upon the ground behind the devil as it reduced into magnetite, and the possession slowly began to fade just as the officers from JPs arrived.
"You there! What did you just do?" they asked, but Kei himself didn't really know. He glanced back over his shoulder and considered telling the truth...no, he had to tell the truth. This wasn't the time to run, was it? And so he took a breath and began to plead his case to the members of the great Resistance.Quote: Devil: Kobold, Erthys [7] 13 Tokens

Youmu Konpaku Youmu sheathed her blade, and Berserker knelt down. The enemies in the area were weaker than she expected, save for the giant one...
But, she was able to handle it. Things fell quick enough to her and Bersker's weapon, that she barely broke a sweat.

More people who couldn't handle them.. she thought quietly, offering a small prayer. I hope you have a merciful afterlife.

Because my time is short, I'll kill you..."He had thought it was over...but the attack was only just beginning. Defeating Bai Suzuhen had only angered the spirits nearby; Mezuki arose from the summoning terminal that had been damaged and a desperate battle ensued between Kei and the man-horse devil as the JPs officers tried their best to fix the destroyed terminal and seal away any other devils from emerging from within. His sword clashed with the staff of the devil, but despite his perfected skill, the gap in power was beginning to show...his spirit called out, desperate to meet with Kaori again...desperate not to lose...
...And then he felt it again, that power filling him that was not his own...that flash in his eyes...the strength.
He parried a strike from the staff and whirled, tearing his blade through the abdomen of the devil sharply and dispersing it into naught but magnetite with a deep breath. Blood splattered on the ground just as the JPs members turned to him and gave a thumbs up. "You really did it..." they smiled in relief, standing up and letting out the breath they had been holding, "...Munakata is your name, you said? You really saved our bacon, but...what was that you used to beat that thing?"
"I don't know..." Kei muttered honestly, glancing at the terminal as if it might whisper to him the answer, "C'mon, let's go before things get any worse."Quote: Devil: Kobold, Earthys [7], Aeros [12] 23 Tokens

Youmu Konpaku A tougher encounter again....
"Berserker! Arahabaki! Saki Mitama!"
Time after another, as she sided with the JPs agents, Rioters battled. And, though they weren't as strong as they were, they were numerous. She could her demons getting weary in turn..and as such, had kept switching them out.
"M..Mahakala, Finish it!" she called, gesturing towards the last tamer's demon. It held up it's own weapon, and the two collided....
Before both demons faded into magnetite. The tamer scowled, before starting to head for her anyways.'I can't handle a demon, but a little girl can..""Poltergeist." she called, freezing the man in his tracks. His legs were encased in ice, and she turned away.
"That's all of them..isn't it?" she asked the JPs agent, who nodded quietly.
"Good....I'm going to go get some air." she called, before walking along, closing her eyes.

Because my time is short, I'll kill you..."It all happened so fast...the rumble from the summoning Terminal, the sparks that filled the air...and from within a devil burst, an Ikusa! Its spear was lightning swift as it dove fast and hard towards the backs of the JPs soldiers; they never had a chance...no chance but one. To take life had always been his impulse, never to save it...but his life had been lived with a credo to do just the opposite of what his nature demanded. He would not let these people die if he could help it...he'd give up his own life to do it if that was what it took.
"Look out!" he cried, pushing a soldier out of the way just in time to feel the spear tear through his body...blood spewing forth from his lips as he felt organs tear...the danger of death falling upon him like a pall... "R...run..." He commanded, and the soldiers ran...the last of his strength draining, he raised his sword over his head and brought it down through the skull of the Ikusa dispersing it into nothing. Perhaps...he coughed, blood upon the ground...perhaps he might live...
...
And then the shadow fell, a monster like no other lingering overhead...

Youmu Konpaku The girl leaned back and closed her eyes, aiming for a quick nap again. However, for the first time in a while, her phone started to ring again.
"Huh?" she called, before opening it up."A Friend's Death Clip has been uploaded!"Youmu flinched, as she watched a figure being attacked by a familiar blast...the same that nearly ended her earlier.
"I have to.." she called, starting out of the building to find the area. Eventually, her footing came to, and she held out her phone.
"Berserker! Save him!" she called, the feral demon Lunging to protect the impaled boy, shielding him from Meraks's blastl with it's own body.
"Move! Get over here, Now!" she called to the Nightshade, gesturing for him to approach where she was. She fumbled for her phone, and called forth another totemic figure. "Arabahaki! Help him!"
He was bleeding...Would he be okay? had she arrived too late? She couldn't know unless she tried...and, with two powerful demons guarding him, Kei would have enough time to escape his gruesome fate. Because my time is short, I'll kill you..."Power built up before him...this thing, Merak, loomed ready to destroy him...and with his wound he could barely struggle to avoid it. No, he couldn't avoid it...at least, until a pair of devils swooped in and lent him some aid. One defended him from an attack that would have shattered him and another did its best to mend the wound that threatened to kill him anyway; in tremendous pain but trained to endure it, he glanced towards the girl shouting at him and struggled over closer to where she stood. Berserker had provided the distraction he had needed; slowly, surely, he escaped what would have been certain death.
"I owe you one," the swordsman choked painfully and his hand remained clamped over the mending wound, not needing any prodding to join her in getting the Hell out of dodge. With luck, neither of them would need this kind of rescue again. Because my time is short, I'll kill you..."The retreat from Merak towards where the JPs soldiers had been heading was uneventful, save for an attack by a few stray Mokoi...one swiftly averted with the aid of his two Elemental servants and the swift strikes of his sword. Fortunately they weren't entirely intelligent in terms of demons, and the Mokoi were dispatched swiftly. That didn't mean they were out of the woods, of course. He glanced back towards the area where he had nearly died...towards the girl who saved him...and he hoped that she too would find her way to a shelter or somewhere she could be safe for a while.
"JPs...I am not sure if I can trust them, but I've little choice," he conceded darkly, glancing forward towards the center of the city where he would find the Diet...the central base of the country's defense against those creatures. Because my time is short, I'll kill you..."Before the Diet, the swordsman found himself fighting through the last of the Mokoi to reach the Gate. Turning and slashing one down into naught but magnetite, the swordsman let out the breath he had been holding before closing the door behind him and locking it. At his back, the moment he arrived, were golden uniforms...and as he turned he recognized the faces of the ones that he had saved from that vicious Ikusa before. Their smiles of relief were enough to bolster his spirits, and as they motioned for him to join them, he regained hope that perhaps this path to JPs was the right one after all.
"Chief Hotsuin might be cold, but he's the only chance we've got against these things," one said, earning a raised eyebrow from Kei and a sheepish apology from his companion, "Sorry, Chief Hotsuin is our leader...anyway, have you used the Cathedral of Shadows, yet? You can make your companions stronger, and...is something on your mind?" Kei couldn't hide his worry, even as the explanation for fusing devils was something he stored to use as soon as the conversation was over. Alas, the one thought that had plagued him worst since his own near-death came back to haunt him.
"The girl with violet hair and red eyes...Kaori Sakurazaka..." he started, and the men looked between one another before shaking their heads sadly, "Can the Chief help me find her?" And despite their uncertainty, the two of them forced a smile.

Youmu Konpaku Youmu flinched after saving the boy...the demon's energy being far too close for comfort. She braced herself as the monster charged up energy, ready to blast her....
Before the spirit from her phone emerged, putting itself between her and it.
Run away..
Youmu gasped, as the demon started to flicker.
Run away to safety!

The more she sprinted, the more she was afraid to look back. The giant demon could have still been there...it could have been following her. It was enough that she didn't see the white haired boy (Or his punching bag) as she plowed right into him. "Gah..! what the hell's your deal?!" the sour looking boy snarled, glaring at her. "You messed up my repetitions you dumb b***h.""There was...this really powerful monster.." she called, watching the guy's sneer turn into a vicious grin."Oh really? Where is it?" he called, looking..anxious. "It was back that way...but it was bigger than anything I've ever seen.."The boy seemed no less perturbed by this, as he popped his knuckles. "Must be one of them. Yamato was talking about it...." he stated, as he grabbed his phone. "If you wanna run, that's fine...But I'm going to take some action, dammit.""W..wait!
