Licking Our Wounds"Yes? This's Shu. Is that Nellie?" Shu asked, putting down the first book of the series - Howl's Moving Castle, a frog plushie was wrapped around in one of her arms. The petite Asian was beaming brightly. "Oh my....Nellie, come here, sit here." The book put down and her honey-warm eyes met with the girl's face, immediately she curled up her knees and patted the area next to her. "Awww poor Nellie, will your face will alright? Who hit you that hard?" She took her hands and put on hers, then gave the girl a hug. "When the doctor say you can remove the bandages?"

Bad Leg: Roland only grinned at Shu as she laughed, she was always so energetic and full of life, even laying in that bed she looked like she belonged outside of it running around, but the doctors had given the order and so she would need to stay put. "Jorb, Jeb, he never visits just you." He moved to take a seat on the edge of her bed. "I can bring some by later, should I get Jorb? I think we can do one Jorb, or an armful of Alpacas. One or the other."

Bad LegShu's eyes rolled left and right vividly, she was in a process of thinking. "Jorb!" She yelled out after about seconds of time but it wasn't loud. Shu wanted to see a big guy smuggling a man-tall bear into the infirmary without the doctor notice. What's more, he would be the best companion at night. From his reply, the petite Asian also realized the hunter mistook the "some" she meant as she then said about the plushies. She giggled and wondered how it happened, but she didn't point it out. Pouting again, she just said: "Jorb is Jorb, no other name, because it has a meaning."

"Alright fine. I'll sneak Jorb in just for you. But don't blame me when a doctor gives you a hissy fit over it yeah? Say it just appeared like a gift."
Slowly Roland started to stand up again stretching his legs a bit and putting his weight back on his one crutch, "You never told me what the meaning was actually. What does Jorb mean?"

Bad Leg"Don't worry, I won't blame you IF the doctor scolds me." Shu stressed the word, didn't think doctors there will be so merciless to take away the only comfort from an injured. "Hmm, you can't guess that? That's sad because I won't tell you the answer." The petite Asian tilted her head and smiled. In other words, she was teasing of his stupidity. She didn't worry that Roland will dislike her for her playful pranks or words, so she showed him the naughty girl side she had. Ever since they met, she had been that pixie like, but he never scold or blame her for that, what a good friend.

Heartened by the fact that Shu seemed to have reverted back to her usual self, Nellie sat herself down on the bed with a wistful smile and gave the Death huntress' hands a small squeeze. "Someone who saved Nellie and Isaac once during a mission. Nellie didn't get the person's name." She admitted softly, surprised initially by the hug that she was drawn into though she recovered quickly to return it as best as she could.
"The doctor said the rest of the bandages can come off in a few days. Niffy's also trying Niffy's best although healing isn't Niffy's forte." There was a soft rumble of acknowledgement from the fire warg through the bond that they shared as she pulled back a little to give her friend a good look over. "Is Shu alright? Does Shu remember what happened back then?"

Nellie should find that out." Shu put the frog plushie into Nellie's lap. "Mr. Ribbit is worried too, let him accompany you for a while." The girl smiled, seemed in a good mood. Shu nodded then shook her head, "I should be fine but I can't remember, Nellie." She helplessly called her name. "Leslie told me part of it, but every time I tried to think, my head hurts. So I gave up. I knew what horrible things I've done though, I am sorry. I am really sorry." She murmured weakily.

There was absolutely, positively no conceivable way for Joy to ever consider transferring to Death. Not because she didn't like getting information (be it through subterfuge, which she was awful at, or through gossip, which tended to not be reliable) but she just had this tendency of being the last one to know.
So when she finally got on infirmary duty she was more than a little surprised to find "SHU!?! What. Why are you here? What happened?!?" Needless to say the moon trainee could stand to also be a little bit quieter.Meegane Hi, have a completely unaware doof

Last to KnowShu beamed as she waved to the huntress with healthy skin color, "Hello Joy, how are you?" As if nothing bad had happened and it was an ordinary encounter along the corridor or cafeteria, the girl looked happy. "Hmm, you know the outbreak earlier? I got some injuries from it, not a big deal though, don't worry! Are you having infirmary duty?" Huni Pi You are much welcomed! biggrin

Joy had an odd feeling that whatever sort of conversation she was going to have with Shu had already happened before. If she was the type prone to introspection and philosophical debates about the human condition, Joy quite possibly might have equated all of this with Horace. But as the moon trainee was more of a doer than a thinker, only the feeling made itself known.
She pushed it out of her thoughts, focusing instead on the smaller woman. "Err, honestly, I don't know much about the outbreak. I was, err" her cheeks gave the distinct tint of someone blushing in shame, "Asleep when all the s**t went down, if you can believe it."
And no one tried to wake her or see if she was alright, which normally would have been upsetting but then she remembered how she hadn't made friends on the island so why should they have cared? And wow that was a really long mental sentence, maybe Joy ought to calm down a bit?
"Yeah, I'm here for infirmary duty, but it looks like it's mostly going to be about cleanup and stuff. But if you need me to get you anything, like a drink or food or heck, even books from your room, just lemme know."

Last to Know"I'm glad you were sleeping, it was not a very good experience, in my opinion. Maybe people try to wake you up, but they couldn't. It was so chaotic, I heard people talking about nightmare haunting them in sleep. It wasn't normal." Shu reached out to touch Joy, giving the woman her opinion. Her words, however, made her face brightened. "Do you think you can smuggle some cakes in?" Her eyes looked around to make sure no ears were listening.

Joy gave this a considerable amount of thought. Well, her phone hadn't exploded with messages and there weren't any private messages from twitter-side. But really in an emergency, would people be resorting to tech? And would she have woken up from continuous beeping and vibrations from her hiphone? Nah, probably not, she decided.
"Nightmares? Huh, I don't think I got those. Or if I dreamed at all actually. It felt kinda weird, like I lost so much time after just closing my eyes." Maybe it made Joy a freak. But if she went with what Shu said, the moon trainee ought to be thanking her lucky stars.
She moved in closer so she was within Shu's reach and at the request of cakes, Joy's brown eyes twinkled in delight. "For you I'll smuggle a whole bakery," she whispered conspirationally before her brows furrowed in thought, "You're not on any meds that'll make you upchuck if you have cake, are you?"
Joy remembered hospital stays and being hooked up to an IV bag. She also remembered being on pain killers that made her want to yurk at the mere sight of food. But that didn't sound like the situation with the smaller hunter.

"Nellie's not sure if Nellie should pursue that though. Nellie doesn't think that that hunter will care to remember something as trivial as that." Nellie shrugged with a small smile. She supposed that she could do what Shu had suggested to track the other hunter down but she didn't think that that was something that he was going to appreciate her doing.
"Thank you Mr Ribbit." Looking down at the frog plush that the Death huntress had placed in her lap, she patted it a few times. "It's okie if Shu doesn't remember." She murmured quietly, pausing briefly before looking up again. "Nellie got a little worried because Shu was hurting herself..."

Last to Know"That's a good thing Joy!" Shu didn't think Joy was a freak, she was glad that the huntress didn't get the nightmares because they were not good things. What Joy said amused the petite huntress, she wondered how the huntress was gonna smuggle the bakery in but her frown made Shu slightly nervous. "I-I don't think so, j-just pain killers and sleeping pills. But they're sooooooo bitter Joy." She pouted. "I want some sweet cakes to cheer myself up", she looked at Joy with pitiful watery eyes, hands clung onto her like small puppy or kitten.

Licking Our WoundsShe shouldn't be asking. "It's not trivial, because it was because of the virus. If they wrote a report, they had to include it." As a Death huntress, she had the rights to read all the hunter reports and she knew well what they should include in a proper report. It almost felt awkward to discuss that topic, "I can't help it, it was the virus. I'm fine, I should be out in a few days."
