The arcanine was hit with the ice beam and was frozen over instantly. With nothing that he can do because he was frozen solid so all he could do is wait it out until he thawed out.

There was nothing he could do as he was a block of ice, the only thing now that he could hope for is to thaw quickly or wish for the mew to miss its attack.

Nearly thawed the Arcanine was regaining movement, however it was too late. Getting hit once more with the Ancient power attack he fainted.
Zak withdrew Cinaed into his pokeball. "Thanks for the battle!" he called out giving a small wave he left.
