Kite was frustrated. The riolu practically tripped over itself in an attempt to deliver another double-pawed blow. Enthusiasm for the rowdy activity and determination were equal motivators.

Cael was more concerned with the hits that the striped feline pokemon was consistently landing on his pokemon, He wished the pup would try to avoid them, but Kite was probably too young for strategy.

The pup went down with that last blow. Cael's eyes darted at the stronger, older opponent. Kite couldn't take another bougt of "play" like that and walk out. The puppy needed to get sense knocked into it, but at the same time....

"Kite! Don't get hit again!!!"- his voice cracked - and he was trying to sound serious! arg! "Get ready!"

The riolu pushed itself up, and growled back. Kite did not want to play anymore. It wobbled, moving it's paws in position to deliver another, possible the last, attack. Would it hit?

Pap. With that, the wind was gone from Kite's sails, and the pup provided pretty much no resistance to Zebo's swing.The riolu slumped like an uncoordinated sackdoll onto the arena dust.

"Th-thank you for the battle" Cael stammered. He was worried about Kite, but couldn't help the small, tired thought - it would be easier to get through the city with the active pup downed.

He was fretting over whether it was ok to enter the field, when Cloudrunner (how long had she been there?) leap lightly over the guardrails to collect her defeated offspring.
