THUD.
Legacy had put his back to the corner at the wrong moment. Matt's boot collided with Legacy's head with deafening impact. His eyes rolled as he collapsed to the ground, and he weakly rolled out of the ring. He landed on his feet, holding his head. He slowly began to stumble towards the ramp. Was he retreating?

The fans booed as Legacy proved he was not up-to-snuff when it came to facing the one and only Matt Shanahan; but just because he was retreating didn't mean he'd get away. Matt stared down at Legacy and quickly stepped through the ropes, dropping off of the apron directly behind his battered opponent. With clear carelessness for his opponent, Matt grab at Legacy's hair and attempted to yank him up to a standing position and turn him around.

Legacy was pulled upright by Shanahan, who promptly turned Legacy around to face him. In a panic, Legacy launched his hands into Matt's face, aiming to rake his eyes! A blind man cannot pursue his prey, after all, and Legacy needed to do something to take the fight back.

Matt let out an audible roar as his eyes were raked by the dirty tactician's fingers, causing The Storm to lose his grip and immediately hold his only source of vision! He tried to step back from Legacy, hoping to get a few seconds to nurse his damaged eyes.

Legacy would seize his chance, almost entirely on instinct. The crowd booed as Matt momentarily stepped back, but this did not phase Legacy; he would grab Matt's arm, and with a mighty roar, put all his power into a harsh irish whip, aimed directly at the steel steps!

The Storm was blinded for the time being, so he had no real way of reacting as he was whipped forward by the angered Legacy. He felt him go hurtling, pushed forward only by momentum; that momentum was soon stopped as he collided full speed with the steel steps, causing him to fly over the staircase! He flipped over and landed hard on his back, knocking the wind out of him effectively!

Legacy took a deep breath as the crowd slowly became more outraged. He didn't wait long to seize the opportunity which he had created for himself. He would march over to Shanahan, and would lift him to a standing position. He would throw him into the ring by the neck, keeping his head on the apron, where he would aim a swift blow to the temple while he was prone!

Matt was in a daze. His knees were hurting and his back was sore; the whole titantron falling on him thing wasn't something he had recovered from fully, obviously. He offered little resistance as he was pull up to his feet and slid into the ring. His head hung off the edge of the apron, and before he could even pull himself away, the side of his head was hit hard by Legacy's fist! He rolled over on impact, his arms wrapping around his head immediately!

Legacy wasted no time in his assault. He rushed back into the ring, sliding under the bottom rope. Launching to his feet, he would aim some hard stomps to Shanahan's back, holding on to the top rope to increase the strength and balance of the blows.

There was little Matt could do as the stomps rained down on his already bruised backside. The gauze wrapped around him did little to soften the blows, as each one threatened to tear at the protective wrapping! All he could try to do was crawl towards the turnbuckle and get away from Legacy!

As Matt crawled to the corner, Legacy followed. The tide truly had turned, for Legacy's gain. He would shove Matt with his foot, a taunt to get him into position; he would force him into being seated, and would then push his knee into Matt's face, pressing his head into the corner with the boney joint.

Matt was pushed into the corner rather disrespectfully, but he didn't expect such from a man like Legacy. He hissed when he felt the joint of Legacy's knee grind against his face, squeezing The Storm's cranium against the bottom turnbuckle. Matt tried to push the knee away as best he could with his free limbs. The fans were in a ruckus, clearly upset with how the tide had turned so quickly for the undefeated phenomenon!

The referee soon came over to break up the cheap attack. On the count of four, Legacy broke away, taking a few steps back. This was another ruse, however, as he would soon charge forward, aiming the same knee at the same spot on Matt's head, with a harsh running knee strike!

The referee came to The Storm's aid, forcing Legacy away. Just when he thought he might as a moment to recover... Matt's head snapped back with a painful whiplash as the knee came colliding with the side of his head once more! Matt fell to his side afterwards, his arms cradled around his skull.

Legacy took a step back, to the centre of the ring. His confidence was starting to build. It seemed, after all the hype, Shanahan was only human after all. Legacy raised his arm as he looked out to the jeering crowd.
"MY RING! THIS IS MY RING!"
