“Well, just you wait, I’m bound to make a mistake or eight,” she said as she glanced down at the piece, eager to continue. “Your craft is bound to just continue to grow and become more stunning as time goes on.” She gave another small tap, not making much progress but the line seemed straight as she brought her eyes back up to his hands. She stared at the pearls for a few moments, then brought them back down to the piece. “I quite like those… though maybe do you have a smaller pearl? The contrast might help offset the size. They’ll look more like water droplets as well.”

"Mmm quite right, one large and one smaller will help the effect. He went to the back and started digging in a little leather pouch searching for another white pearl and dropping one of the larger ones in. He selected three and held them out again. "Pick one of these, they should be around the right size and color. He set the one the chosen pearl would be paired with also down on his hand for comparison. Letting her chose gave it a more custom feel which he thought was important with both weapons and jewelry. It gave the person a better connection he thought.

Though she was glad he agreed, he watched as he dug through his pouch. What else did he have in there, she wondered. “Okay,” she said as she put down the tools. Taking the original pearl, she gently took one of the other pearls, holding them close together, then bringing them to the piece. She felt like she made the right guess, that the contrast would help the piece. They really did look like they could be dew drops. “What do you think?” Before she agreed, she did want to hear his thoughts. Letting her pick was a wonderful opportunity, but she didn’t want it to ruin the piece from bad judgement. She was curious about his thoughts.

"I think your right and those are the two we will use." He could see it in his minds eye, but in living vivid greens instead of metallics. He opened his eyes. "Yeah thats them." he grinned delighted at this concept. "Sometimes its just good to have a second opinion. Maybe she would visit for a few other pieces as well. Hrmmm. "Best finish those lines, its almost done." He smiled at her. and started fiddling with the pearl cups to make sure they were top qaulity and preparing to place them on the leaf. He didn't want to just use glue it wouldn't be reliable but the little arms of the pearl cups would secure the pearls to the piece for sure. It was hot but when he got to working he felt non of the heat until afterwards.

She nodded at his affirmation, eager to see the finished product. She couldn’t quite envision it as perfectly as he could, but she could tell that the piece was beautiful. “What did you envision this piece as when you first started it?” She never got to ask before she had interrupted his work, she just knew that it caught her eye and was beautiful. It could easily have been a necklace or a broach… even something that could hang on the wall. Jawaad quickly picked the tools back up, not quite rushing, but willing and eager to see if she could truly help make this piece shine. She gave small, slow taps to it as she worked. “By the way, what is your name?” She knew his teacher’s, but she should probably know his as well… not only to put a name to the handsome face, but to tell her friends so he could have more business.

"Ah, my name is Ai'iandaroch, people call me Ai'ian or 'Roch, depending upon their preferences. I envisioned it being a necklace, with an attaching ring on the back side near the petiole and the end of the leaf blade." "What is your name?" He asked curious. Surely it wouldn't be quite as awkward as his own which apparently translated to lake in the high mountains according to his mother. He watched her complete the leaf, "Excellent, now we just have to sauder the cups on." He took the leaf over to a clear area were he dipped molten metal from a cup that had been over the fire before quickly putting the two pearl cups on it. "It needs to cool for a bit and it will make the rest of the leaf rather hot so its better not to touch it for a while."

“Ai’ian then.” Ai'iandaroch. It was a nice name, easy to remember, though it surely didn’t roll of the tongue well. She wouldn’t have guessed, though it truly suited him…especially with his unique appearance. She couldn’t quite place his heritage, but she shook the thought off with a smile at his question. “My name is Jawaad, though I’ve yet to receive a nickname for it.” “That does sound quite beautiful. You’ve got such an eye for art,” she said gently as he took the leaf. She truly was excited to see the final results. Watching his actions by the fire was interesting in and of itself though. For a young age, his movements looked like those of a well versed master. “How long have you been working with metal?”

"Oh, about three months," he said idly as he set the pearls into the cups and clamped them tightly to their pale treasures. "There its done, and pretty close to what I wanted, good job on the veins, they came out well too." He picked up the now cooled piece and showed it to her. "Is this acceptable?" He let her hold and inspect it while he rustled around for another package for the new piece. Right before he had put the pearls in he had added the rings to the back to make it able to be strung properly with a necklace.

Jawaad nodded as he replied, slightly shocked, “Only that short of a time?” To be so well versed in a craft was something of a feat, especially if he was only around her age. But she watched him apply the pearls to the leaf, still ever curious. She gingerly took the piece, smiling. It was just as he described, though she couldn’t see the colors as he had, it was still stunning. “It’s beautiful, Ai’ian,” anyone could note the difference between the veins, but, for a first try, she was still proud in assisting. It would translate so well into a necklace, though she was still curious about the other applications. As he went for the packaging, she glanced up from the piece. “How much would you like for everything?” They had never discussed prices before, but she wanted to be sure that he received his fair share.

"I'm glad you like it, five coin for the premade necklace and the leaf is my gift to you, thank you for keeping me company today, I like to teach." He blushed. "I don't often get to yet since I just started out but I find it rather rewarding." He smiled. "I hope the little one your giving that necklace to likes it, it was fun to make too a bit more finicky." He bowed to her. He was happy she had stopped by, she was a gentle soul like himself from what he could see.

Pulling her bag in front of her, she quickly rummaged to find her money, pulling it out with a smile. “That’s so sweet of you, Ai’ian,” she was touched. “You’re sure to be a wonderful teacher someday. Your teacher has taught you well and I’m sure you’ll do the same.” With a smile, she nodded, “I’m sure she will.” If she didn’t, they would have to have some words regarding art. Returning his bow, she quickly took his hand, pressing the money in to his hand as she closed his fingers around the coins. If he wouldn’t accept payment for the necklace, he’d just have to accept a generous tip! “I’ll be sure to tell my friends about your stall, so be sure to set up shop here again.”

"I will thank you." He bowed and smiled, before returning to his next project. That had been nice. He was lucky to have started that friendship if that was indeed what this was. He tucked the coins away for a rainy day. He would probably need them at some point.
