She gave a little squeal of mirth as he hooked his hands beneath her knees and stood, bringing her up with him to cling to his back. It was still a bit of a shock, just how easily he seemed to be able to lift her. As if she was weightless, like he could hold her up for days and never tire. She liked that. it made her feel safe. Hit buttons that had had her initiating that kiss on the cliff.
Her arms tightened, knees pressing in against his sides. The unasked question had her grinning, teeth catching briefly on her lip as she thought about it.
The easy answer would have been
something else, but Gretchen didn't know if Isaac had packed them dinner, or if they were going to be scrounging up their meals for the duration of their stay.
It kept her from immediately steering him towards the tent, but only just. She still turned her head against his, still nuzzled into his hair as she brought her lips close to his ear so she could murmur. "What do you want to do?"
