Sionet Veralee Oroboros [  Letting out a sigh at the tone of her friends voice, Sionet set her pen in her lap on top of the paper she was using. Tilting her head ever so slightly that she could see him more clearly, she wasn't surprised that he was messing with his hair. The distress he was showing was obvious to anyone who knew. him. Reaching out she placed a hand on his shoulder and patted it. "Yes, well you know how normal humans are. They think they are the top of the food chain and can do as they please. It is that attitude that has caused wars between them and other species through out history. And yet they never really learn, but still this new trend is disgusting." she said softly, giving his hsoulder one more pat before going back to her writing.

Somehow Sionet's touch always and voice always seemed to sooth him, and his fingers' pace grew slower as he worked. A deep sigh came from him and Xavier left his hair half finished as he reached over to place his warm hand over hers for a moment. "I remember a time when our kind were honored and respected. Now they wish to turn what few remain into their playthings." Xavier's violet eyes narrowed. "But you and I will never succumb to their will."

Sionet Veralee Oroboros[ she said in a soft whisper. Wondering if he would be nosy about it, even if he was, she couldn't give a definitive answer. So with a smll smile she continued to write and started to hum a soft lullaby she had heard a while ago.

His face scrunched up: just because it was happening didn't mean he had to like or accept it. Though her cryptic comment caught his attention. Xavier's eyes flicked to look at her. Of course curiousity got the better of him and the dark-skinned man turned to fully face her. "What do you mean?"

Sionet Veralee Oroboros[ Sionet let out a soft laugh as seh continued to hum a few more bars. She knew that his curiosity would get teh better of him as she leaned to the side, resting her head lightly on his shoulder. "Eh.. yes.. .It is a theory that I am working on for several clan elders at the moment. Mine is excluded, but i did receive a missive from my clan elder....or rather grandfather... he knows about it, but worries what it wil cost. I am currently translating text to see how it can possibly be done." her vioce soft as she spoke to him. A faint smile on her lips as she stayed there resting for a few.

Xavier instinctively shifted his position so that Sionet would be comfortable against him, though his attention was concentrated on the translation she was writing. "What is your opinion on the matter, Sionet?" He asked in his deep velvety voice. Truthfully he himself was wondering what the price of such a thing would be. Surely it would be steep and may have consequences that neither side would be prepared for.

Sionet Veralee Oroboros[ TAking a few minutes to just enjoy the physical contact that was welcomed, while silently praising the gods that he wasn't being pervy or hands on. Sionet eventually answered him, "I an neither for or against. BUT knowing the price would help me make that choice. I know deep in my very soul that the price will be steeper than anything we can imagine. But the how it works is what is important now." she said ,her voice going low and serious. Wiggling her nose and snorting Sionet shifted a bit so her back was resting against his arm, as she returned her attention to her work.

Xavier grew unusually silent as he became lost in thought, though when he felt her press against his arm he automatically moved to drape it around her. He didn't seem to be aware that he was doing it. Eventually he did speak up again, turning his now serious gaze to her. "Sionet, it may be better if you keep what information you uncover to yourself." Though he didn't appreciate the actions of some humans Xavier didn't hate the entire species like others did.

Sionet Veralee Oroboros[ stopping her writing as he spoke, well aware of where his arm was loosely drapped, she eyed it before speaking. "I know But 9 clan heads are wanting this information. I cannot just disobey them... more so since two of those clan heads are for both factions of Dragons. This is actually a serious matter Xavie... " her voice was soft and gentle, but her worry showed through. Closing her eyes, she let her had loll back enough that when she opened them, she was staring up into his purple orbs. A wane smile playing at the corners of her mouth. Moments liek this were treasured times. When neither of them was up in arms over something, but just two living beings taking comfort from their presence in the others.

"I am well aware of that. However I can sense that you are concerned." Xavier stared down at her, a frown forming on his face and although it was faint there was concern in his eyes. His free hand reached out to brush away some stray strands of hair that had fallen on her face. Sionet was one of the few people in the world that he genuinely cared about and it seemed the fates had decided to place a very delicate matter into her petite hands. Not that she wasn't capable: Sionet was more than capable of taking care of herself and others, for that matter. But being the one who held such information with nine clans vying for it..well, that could be potentially dangerous for her. Xavier's brow furrowed at the thought and his frown deepened.

Sionet Veralee Oroboros[ At his touch, a faint blush tinted her pale cheeks as she just watched him. The concern for her welfare evident in his gaze, making her feel a warmth inside. She knew she told him that he was her family and as such that it wasn't ever going to go romantic. She had long ago realized that she loved him dearly as a man, but knowing of his past, the hurt that was scarred across his soul and heart. Sionet couldn't bring herself to intrude and kept her ownself at arms length for her own protection adn his.. No matter how randy a b*****d he could be, when there were plenty of other ladies willing to turn up their skirts for him. Couple with the fact that while when her kind mated it was exclusive unless they brought a partner to share, it never bothered her his need to sack the fairer sex. Hell it just amused her all the more, while giving her more material to tease him with later. Sticking her tongue out at him she spoke, "Alright Bright eyes, I will be careful. But for the record, all 9 clan heads are in joint on this information. They are all in agreement that it might be better to be separate from the human world. Not one is out to take over and screw the others.. THEY actually are GETTING along for this whole thing."

The concern in his eyes was quickly replaced with the mischievous fire it normally held when Sionet stuck her tongue out at him. "I for one find humans rather amusing. They are predictable yet unpredictable at the same time. Though I am curious to know if you feel you would be happier without any contact with them." Xavier reached over to gently push her tongue back into her mouth with his index finger, allowing it to linger against her lips for a moment. What he wouldn't give to feel her siren tongue on him. Passion flared up in his eyes but he turned his head away with an amused smile on his face, pulling his hand away from her face. Sionet had made it painfully clear over and over again that she would never give in to his advances like most so easily and readily did. But that only made him want her more, the one thing he couldn't have. In the long run it did allow them to form a friendship, something that was rare for him. Normally Xavier grew bored with people easily but Sionet always kept him on his toes, always kept him guessing and curious. And she seemed to value the relationship they did have, one that wasn't born from flaunting money or from intimacy.

Sionet Veralee Oroboros[ Her breath hitching fora mere second when Xavier pushed her tongue back inot her mouth, his finger lingering on her lips, as passion filled his eyes. Causing an ache to build low in hte pit of her stomach. Snorting to cover up the small wave of desire that he had built there, Sionet frowned at his words, when he turned his gaze away from her. It was a rather serious question that he asked. Which to many would shock their souls damn near out of thier body. "I agree with you on that one Xavie ,but at the same time I can understand the reason why they want this knowledge. My only main concern is if we did do this, woudl magic leave the humans completely? I mean we are born of magic in a sense...." she said trailing off

His hand moved to hold his chin as he thought, but it didn't take him long to answer. "If that is the case it would be a grave thing indeed to go through with. Draining magic from the humans.." Xavier trailed off. The damage that would be wrought from taking magic away from any species was unimaginable.

Sionet Veralee Oroboros[ While she adored this side of Xavier, Sionet was getting bored with it at the moment. She needed a bit of levity, not soticism. Reaching up she poked him in the cheek as he thought. his words were the verbal manifestation of her thoughts and concerns. Whey she was so fenced. "That is part of my view. The other is what the elderss think as wel. That if they abuse it as much as they have, they shouldn't be allowed to have any at all.. .
