Xel was turned to the tree by now soft and silent. He didn't have to look at her to know it was over by now. Some part of him knew she might not return... oh well so much for giving your first kiss to a girl. He had wondered why he had hidden himself as a girl. This was why... he hated to be rejected, so assuming the role as a female he hardly got rejected and eventually his time as such spoiled him rotten. Now he was getting his first life's lesson. Things don't always go as you want.

As the silence grew between them Xel turned to see if she were still there at the sound of a crunch he looked down. "The hell?!" His face paled at the sight of his big booted foot smashing down on one of his famed melons. "Oh you gotta be shittin me...my melon. I murder my melon!" he screamed and began dancing like an idiot as he flayed about. "Crap! Crap! Crap! Crap!" He shouted the mood shiftly suddenly to a more sillier if not comical scene.

"Isis quick! Call a doctor, get a someone out here...do something my melon its been murdered!" He screamed, almost as if he weren't the one to do the murdering.

Israel had turned and was almost to the spot she had entered at when Xel's shriek made her jump and spin around. It took her a moment to figure out what exactly was going on. When it dawned on what he was freaking out about, she started to giggle and walked back.

"Xel... it's just a fruit," she said, stopping a few feet from him and looking down at the carnage he had created by flailing around. She looked up at him and started to laugh.

Xel took a moment to look at the damage in the silence he heard giggling and the laughter. Looking up he saw Isis and wanted to glare at her, instead a silly frown came to his face. "Its not just a fruit. Its my famous melons, you dolt!" he berated kneeling down to take what was left of the melon in hand. He was overly dramatic about it, boardering on ridiculous at this point.

"Oh my god...my melon." He whined, as he plucked the peices from the ground to try and put it together. Nevermind the fact that he had more melons to take its place.

Sitting there with the remains of his melon was a sight to be had, one or more people would consider him mad, others would out right laught at the scene before him. Poor guy he really had a thing for those melons.

Israel stepped closer and knelt down beside him. She placed her hands on his wrists and looked over at him.

"Xel... it's gone. You can either bury it and give it a proper funeral... or eat what little wasn't trampled by your big foot," she giggled.

Xel tossed the remains of the melon to the floor huffing haughtily at the idea. "Well what's done is done..." He said and looked over to Isis who had let out a tinkle of laughter.

"Glad you're enjoying yourself at the expense of my melon." He snorted half heartedly but then cracked a lopsided grin. "Wanna taste em?" He asked and reached over to pluck another melon from its stem. Knocking it against his knee it opened in half perfectly to produce a green center. "Its a honeydew." He said and reached around into his back pocket to pull out a swiss army knife. Cutting a bit off he offered it to her to try. "Go ahead.." he earged hoping she'd like the sweetness of it.

Israel relaxed when he grinned and sat back on her heels as he cracked open a new one. She looked up into his eyes for a moment, the reached out and took the piece he offered to her. Glancing down at it with a dubious look, she sniffed it, then popped it into her mouth. It's juicy sweetness caused her to close her eyes and smile happily.

"Mmm... Xel... That's divine," she said, her eyes fluttering open. "You really grew these?" she asked with a playful look of disblief on her face.

Xel's eyes widened a bit in child-like glee, "Really? You like?" He asked of her cuting another peice for her to try. "Yeah this is where I come to keep all of my mah's favorite flowers, fruits, vegetables and herbs growing. I took most of the seedlings from her old garden at home." He said sitting down on his bottom for now. He cut another melon slice and popped it in his mouth.

"My mah was a really fine woman. She was special to me." He said sighing in thought. "I remember I used to hide in her garden until she came home. That was for almost two straight hours, I'd wait for her after school and then we'd tend the garden, pluck some of the fruits and veggies and then go to the kitchen to cook." He took another slice into his mouth. "I miss her a lot." he said looking over to Isis. This was nice, just being able to relax and not go through all the drama they'd built for themselves.

"I'm not sure but either I'll be a botanist or a chef, either way I'll be around the things I love." He said smiling warmly as he took another slice into his mouth. "Can I ask? What do you want to do when you leave here?"

Israel listened to Xel talk about his mother and looked down at the ground to pluck and blade of grass. She smiled warmly at his fondness for his mother. Something she never had had with hers. Though his choice of words made her wonder what he meant by hiding, but she didn't ask. At his question she smiled absently.

"I'm not really sure to be honest with you. I live for my art. But I'm not sure what it is I want to do with it, or if I'm really any good to do anything with it," she replied, the thought of her mother bringing back her snooty voice and her snide remarks about her art.

Xel quirked a brow at Isis, wondering why she didn't think so much of her art. He had seen it and he thought it was perfect. She would have to continue her work to get better and become a professional but he really could see a potentially famous artist in it.

"If you don't mind me saying." He began eyeing her cautiously. "I have seen your work, and in that brief moment I know you have what it takes to be a great artist. You only lack the vision that everyone sees in you. I've heard around everyone says you have great potential. So all you gotta do is stick with it. Learn some new styles from your favorite artist, paint things that normally wouldnt' suit you, just explore." He said softly smiling at this. "Art comes in many ways, like my garden here." He said spanning his arms out. "Or my food, though I normally spread it out to present to my audience, when you came over I put more of the art in its taste then in its presentation." he smiled looking at the melon in his hand.

"If you want you're welcome to come to my garden whenever you like to think. You can use it as insparation, heck you can even draw it if you like. Just remember that you won't get anywhere if you second guess your passion. You live for your art, so do something about it." He offered and stood to his feet to stretch. He reached a hand out to help her up but did not take her hand in case she wanted to do it on her own. They were small guestures to show he was respecting her need for time.

Israel smiled at Xel's support. She hadn't meant to sound so hard on herself. "Thank you Xel," she smiled. She reached up and took his hand in hers to pull herself up. She looked into his happy eyes. "I really appreciate everything," she said, leaving it off at that. She looked around again. The garden really was fantastic. She reached up and lightly brushed the flower that he had placed behind her ear. She gave him a warm smile.

"I... really probably should be going," she said softly, gesturing to her exit with a nod, but made no move to leave.

Xel smiled happy she at least let him help her up. He smiled noting her hand on the flower in her hair. He really did want to hold her again, maybe kiss her but he had to remain honorable of her wishes. So he was stuck between what he wanted and what she had asked.

"I guess so..." he spoke softly, willing himself not to reach for her. His hand however was not so forgiving of this and reached out to brush her cheeks. He then traced a line along her lips with his thumb. It was sweet torture, he wanted to be closer to her. He removed his hand sliding it in his pocket to keep from messing up a good moment. "Isis... I..." he clamped down on his tongue unsure of the words that were to come. In fact he wanted to ask her permission but he just didn't like the idea of it. So many times before he just took what he wanted this time around he couldn't, he had to wait until it was given. So he stepped back, "I enjoyed your company. It was refreshing..." he said instead it was safer that way.

Israel knew what he wanted. She wanted it too. But she knew it wouldn't stop there if she started it. She turned and started to leave, then stopped with a small sigh.

"This is the last time Xel. I mean it," she said as she spun around and slipped her arms around him to kiss him softly on the lips.

Xel found himself fighting against reaching out to stop her. But she turned again and surprised him by wrapping her arms around him and kissing him. It was soft, one to state that he shouldn't expect much from it. The hell he wouldn't, he found his arms around her eager to bring their bodies closer as he changed the tempo of the kiss to a hungry need. If it was the last time might as well get what one could out of it, right? He dipped her slightly reaching for every ounce of his will power not to pick her up and carry her off into the back of his garden feild and take her. He was better than that, but damnit if he didn't wan to sweep her away some place. He would settle for this kiss for now, if it was the last then she had to end it. Cause he'd be damned if he stopped now.

Israel shivered as he intensified the kiss and leaned her back, gripping him tighter with her arms. Slowly she sank down to her knees, pulling him down with her, returning his hungry kisses. She nibbled lightly on his bottom lip as she pulled away and looked into his eyes.

"This is the last time for real," she said softly and leaned into another kiss.

"Absolutely...the last time." He smirked as she returned to kissing him. He didn't care if it really was, so long as she would allow it for now he would take it. He held her closer, dipping her back again until she was laid out on the soft grass. He hovered over her lips still fused in a heated and hungry kiss as his hands began to roam her body. Ghosting along the side of her ribs over her cloths. He wanted to feel her skin, he knew it was hot to the touch just like all those other times.

He only breifly stopped kissing her to see her half lidded eyes looking back at him. He smiled and kissed her again tenderly this time until the burning desire flaired to life where he kissed her more fervently. His hand remained at her side though it snaked its way under her shirt to feel her warm skin. Taking in a ragged breath he rest his forehead on her forehead staring deep into her eyes. "Isis..." it was almost as if he were asking her for more. Pleading that they continue or perhaps he was giving her warning that he wouldn't stop after this, that this was her escape route.
