"Of course," Nyiim replied, dodging that inpressive maneuver again. "But there's not much defense to do with an arrow. It's best to be quick." This seemed a right and proper example of that, actually. You could not block a blade with an arrow strike, only dodge and try to counter.

Again Votzhem struck him rather decently, a fair counter to an arrow. He leased another, but his fingers stung from the counter and it missed. He almost wanted to reassure the man that, see, he'd hit him again, but Nyiim was getting better with this whole 'social interaction' thing. He didn't want to seem condescending.

Votzhem was surprised at how fluidly he moved into the next series of strikes. He could still feel the old soreness of his muscles from his last training, but they had faded mostly away, leaving him able to dodge and dart, block and strike and parry. He barely even had to think about it.... it was amazing...

There came that complex attack again, but this time Nyiim had not been expecting it. He was hit full-force and stumbled back. For a moment he seemed shocked, and then expression returned to his face in the form of a grin.

Votzhem Wins!!! ~~~~ Votzhem blinked, and then grinned. "It is?" he asked, lowering his 'blades', "Wow! Amazing! My first win!" he laughed, "You're a pretty good trainer, you know that?" he remarked. He stretched and, in the process, got a good look at the sun's position in the sky. "Oh, rotten leaves... I'm late." he winced, apologetically, "I was supposed to meet my sister and look after her kid... I guess that means a second win for me is out o' the question..." he put the training weapons away and waved at Nyiim. "Until next time, allright?"
