Lyra is a calm and quiet individual who isn't exactly a people person. She doesn't dislike others, per say, but just prefers books over a living being. She takes her job very seriously, often planning classes weeks ahead and always avoiding any situation that may result in her not being able to come into work. You're sick? Get away, she has class tomorrow! An offer to eat out late? Are you crazy? Her life is her job, and she much rather be working then anything else.
She's a rather serious character, which often ends up in her coming off antisocial. She doesn't initiate contact and often will correct everyone around her, but she actually enjoys the quiet company of other Nightmares, as long as they don't interrupt her. She's rather awkward in social activities and is the type to completely overlook a joke or take something way too literally. She's also blunt, to the point sometimes it hurts. As a result, communicating can be a bit difficult! Teaching children is easy, but making new friends? That's beyond difficult! She loves learning about others and has a horrible habit of staring when others talk, often trying to learn a persons behavior.
Lyra loves to learn. Her house is practically covered in books! She also hoards stuffed animals, despite her insistence she doesn't own any. Lyra is always ready to absorb information, which she also happens to retain rather well. She also is constantly on the look out for cute new stuffed animals to take home! The events are her school are not safe, as Lyra will take an armful of the prizes and run away with them.
Likes: Arts and crafts, quiet, reading, writing, animals, sewing, and plushies.
Dislikes: Loud sounds, crowds, storms, wasting time, oversleeping, public speaking, fire.

Lyra was one of the thousands of soul stones found within Alcyone. She was, almost the second she was a toddler, the kind of child who always grabbed at new things and wanted to learn everything about the outside world. She was sorted into Arkham and threw herself into studies, often worrying the caretakers by her lack of interest in other children. In an attempt to force the girl to socialize, they took her to a freshling party, where she met Cael.
Cael and Lyra stuck close to one another as elementary-aged children. He was the only friend she made, and she was content with that. When she became a teenager, Cael vanished and Lyra voiced on graduating academy. It didn't take long for her to graduate and go into Grendel. She graduated a few short years later and applied to the academy to become their new Language Arts teacher. She was hired almost immediately, and Lyra settled into her position. She was reunited with Cael and the two began to date officially.
She is currently getting used to her new job and has be discussing the option of moving in with Cael. Things are going well between the two, and a talk or two has occurred, entertaining the idea of imbuing stones. While Lyra isn't really sure she is ready to be a mom, she also wants kids young.

  Lyra bought a house shortly after she became a teacher. She didn't want to go back to living at the academy, even though the academy gladly gives teacher rooms to live in. Instead, she bought a home close enough to the academy to ensure she can get to work, but far enough that she has peace and quiet. The home is moderately sized, built for a very tiny family. It has three bedrooms, one of which belongs to Cael and herself, another is a guest room, and the last one belongs to her two children!
There's a library on the first floor, where she keeps her favorite books. You can at least find one book per any subject, as she seems to have a vast collection. She does favor non-fiction books, so you'll find much more of those! The library is closed off to guests, but close friends and her family are welcomed. On the same floor is a kitchen, a living room, a dining room, and a reading nook. The second floor is devoted to the bedrooms and a bathroom.
Lyra keeps the house rather clean, however her room is full of plushies. Luckily, Cael doesn't seem to mind!

Opal
Opal is Lyra's first familiar, and a very well-tempered skyfish. She sleeps when the lights turn off, and when they're on she's probably flying around in circles. Lyra has put in a little pink castle on her shelf for her to live in at times, and other times she's just watching Lyra at work. She doesn't like others near her castle, though, and will hide until they leave.

Patience
Patience was a gift, actually. Given to her during the Summer Fire Festival, Lyra ended up naming him Patience. He was from Cael, who at the time was shorter than Lyra and extremely self-conscious about it, so was avoiding Lyra. Shoving the bowl into Lyra's hand with a note and running away, he left the little salamander to be adored by Lyra, which she does! Patience is given lots of treats and love, and often being handled. Patience loves people, and he tends to want to crawl all over everyone, but isn't usually allowed to thanks to Lyra's protective nature. Patience adores Charity, and shares a bowl with her.

Charity
Charity was won at the Summer Fire Festival. She lives in the same bowl Patience does, and is his unofficial girlfriend. Lyra got her for him, and the two get along wonderfully. Charity loves being around Patience, and actually hisses if removed from him. Normally well-tempered, she can get extremely nippy if Patience is messed with. She only likes being handled by Lyra.

Freshling Playroom: Lyra is sent to a playroom, where she doesn't meet anyone in particular, despite the wishes of the caretakers. - Finished
Hunters Party: A party is held and Lyra attends. She leaves with quite a few more plushies than she started with. - Finished
