Cygnus let out a screech as the youma tried to attack him, but heard Harmonia yelling for him to do something and managed to let go of his strangle hold on her leg. He stumbled backwards, trying to get away from her and from the youma so she could fight it, still sobbing without much control over himself at this point.
The youma managed to snap on to his leg and the pain made him scream louder than what was probably reasonable, as it was not the most grievous of injuries and the youma barely managed to get him before he slipped away again.
Still, it was enough to prompt the boy into action.
"FEEL MY FEAR!" He screeched, almost incoherently but it was good enough for his magic. A small ball of yellow magic appeared in his palm, swirling like gas, and he looked at it for a moment before he threw it at the youma. It passed harmlessly over the youma's face-ish area, the colored gas lingering in the air once it was broken up from the ball form.
Once breathed in, that gas would make the youma feel a hearty jolt of fear, and his body would react to it as if in a panic, though it was not actually afraid of any one thing. It would only last for a few seconds, though, but was a good enough distraction.
Of course, it could also be breathed in by companions or team mates, so avoiding the yellow smoke in the air was probably a good idea.

When she felt the pressure release from her leg she let out a sigh of relief that was quickly filled with horror as the youma bounced past her to clamp it's jaws on Cygnus's leg. The sound of his terrified scream was more than enough to get her moving as she scrambled to the boy as the youma slipped away. She had -not- been expecting Cygnus to attack and stood there in slight surprise as the boys magic hit the youma in it's face causing the creature to stop. The cat-bug skidded to a halt and began acting strangely as it seemed to cower and dart away from them erratically. Not really sure what exactly was happening Harmonia didn't want to waste time. Chargning up to the creature she kicked hard at it's side. Her foot cutting under to it's softer belly. The youma grunted and fell to it's side but Harmonia didn't let up on it as she hit it again, making sure to hit the spots that looked the most vulnerable. It was times like this that she wished she had an offensive magic. She might be able to do more damage if she wasn't forced to use just physical attacks. It didn't take long though for the youma to get over whatever it was that Cygnus had done to it and it snapped it's mandibles at the senshi. Harmonia was not having any of it though and brought her foot down, heel first, hard on the youma's head not once but twice. The second time was enough to finally finish it off as it burst into dust. Turning back to her companion Harmonia looked at him worriedly. "Are you alright?"

Cygnus had never used his magic before, and did not actually know he had magic. Clearly he did, and his powers had done something crazy to the monster. It was running away from them and acting like, well.
Like Cygnus would.
A big chicken.
He watched as Harmonia rushed in to finish the job, though it woke up from his fear spell soon enough. She did not seem to have any trouble with it and he watched in wonder, eyes wide and getting even wider when the youma burst into dust when it died. It had to be a really bad thing, to do that when it died.
No good guy was going to turn into dust unless it was some bad guy magic, so it only made sense. At least, as far as his experience with comics and television went.
Staring at her for a long moment, struggling to remember how to talk, all Cygnus could really reply with was a short nod of his head. Yeah, he was fine. Better than the bug, anyway.

Still panting from the exertion of the fight, Harmonia walked over to Cygnus and held out a hand to help him up. "That wasn't bad." She smiled at him. When he nodded she did a quick sweep of his leg to make sure that he wasn't just not feeling any pain from a potential wound. Andrenaline was a crazy thing. Not seeing anything she inwardly sighed in relief. The kid had freaked out during the fight. Sure. If she hadn't expected it already, she was definitely sure that that had been the first time Cygnus had ever seen a youma. Considering his age she was impressed. He certainly did better than she had the first time she'd come face-to-face with a youma. "Your attack really helped me. It distracted that thing just long enough." She paused a moment before wrinkling her nose. "A good thing too cause it was really scary and ugly."

Cygnus looked at her tearfully, taking her hand and standing up fully. He snuffled, but it seemed like he would survive, at least for another night.
That had been insane. He used magic! He had powers! They were crazy powers, but they were something! He had been too scared to really understand what he did, but still.
He really was a superhero, and not just a costume. Maybe he could do this...
Though that monster had been an eye opener. There were really dangerous things out there, that he had never understood or seen before. And now he was expected to fight them and beat them. Was he strong enough to do that? Tonight he had not been, and was lucky Harmonia was there with him. He would have to get himself a partner that would patrol with him all the time. The Robin to his Batman, so to speak.
"Uhm. I... thank you for... uhm..." he shuffled his feet, then moved to give her a hug, though it was quick and tense and he bounced away as soon as he could, as if he might catch on fire.

Cygnus's hug had been so quick Harmonia stood staring at him for a moment before smiling broadly. For having such a bravado the kid was actually kinda endearing. "It's not a problem. I am just glad everything turned out well in the end." She sighed then and put her hands on her hips as she looked out over the dark park. "So. Do you want me to walk home with ya or would you like to continue tonight?" Harmonia really wasn't sure which way the kid was gonna go. She thought maybe he'd prefer to go home and snuggle up in bed after the youma attack but with his boyhood bravado there was also the chance he'd scoff at the idea of her escorting him home. "After your first battle I wouldn't be surprised if you're ready to call it a night. I know I was ready to head home after my first youma encounter." The fact that her first introduction to a youma had occurred when she hadn't awoken yet wasn't something she felt she needed to tell him.

"Yeah, I'm going to go home. My parents will worry if I'm late..."
Or more accurately, he did not want to run in to any more youma, and was pretty happy with the idea of just going home and trying to calm himself down. He hoped his dreams that night would not be too bad... he got nightmares after watching scary movies, after all, so seeing a real life monster might not have a good impact on his psyche. Even if it had turned out alright, in the end.
He nodded his head, then turned and began to dart off, not really giving her the chance to walk him home. He was dead set on running all the way there, in fact, until he was safe under his covers and in his familiar, comfortable room. Surrounded by all his comics and super heroes and his parents downstairs.
That was where he was safe.
"Good night," he called back, as if remembering to be polite. "Thank you for the help! Bye!"

Oh, she knew the woes of trying not to make your parents worry, and Harmonia was sure it was even harder for a kid like Cygnus to sneak out. She was about to ask him where he lived when Cygnus began darting off into the darkness. She stood there for a moment, slightly baffled. When he turned back to shout his thanks though she smiled and waved. "Have a goodnight! Be careful!" With a chuckle and a shake of her head Harmonia sighed and looked in the opposite direction that Cygnus had run. It was still early enough for her to continue on with her patrol without fear of being missed at home. So, not wasting any time, the senshi hurried off further into the park in search of any more youma that might be skulking around. In the back of her head though, she worried that there might be other young senshi roaming around like Cygnus. It didn't seem quite right that such young kids were part of war but unfortunately she didn't have a say in the matter. The best she could do was what she had done tonight for Cygnus. Give them help when and wherever needed.
