Rene snorted and grinned at his small victory. She'd want more kids for sure. Whether it was through adoption or going through surrogacy again. Rene had to admit though. The thought of setting Paris loose in an adoption center was highly amusing.
"Okay, let's both be real here. They are going to be doing both. Baseball player's during the season, ballerina's during the off season. Er... ballerinas... and ballerinos?" Rene blinked staring at the girl. "Is that right? What the hell is a male ballet dancer called anyway?" ...Maybe he should stop at the library and pick up a few books... Learn the basic terminologies. "I don't know the first thing about ballet." He admitted.
"Just don't forget... It's a learning experience.. It's different for everyone. You may not need some of the things you learned... You may need things you didn't learn. Though... I'm sure your mothers are going to be helping... in their own little ways." Well... Maybe Chris' mom would, if Paris' was still being slightly difficult about the whole situation. "Somethings you'll learn on your own. Somethings you'll learn together. That's how you guys have always worked out things.
The grin from earlier returned, only wider this time. "I'm a fantastic influence and you know it. "Who better to encourage your spending habits then a sibling? Course... normally that's for personal gain but, don't worry, I won't throw you under the bus." Rene teased. "Sides... We can always hide it at my place? I could pay for some of it, so that he doesn't know about all of it if he happens to notice."

“Ballerina and ballerino are Italian terms used for dancers who hold a principal title in a ballet company,” Paris explained. “You're more likely to hear the French 'danseur' for males and 'danseuse' for females, or just the English 'ballet dancer.' If you hear any English speakers throwing 'ballerino' around, more than likely they're using it as slang. 'Ballerina' used to be more or an honorific for internationally acclaimed principals dancers, so if we were in the 1950s I wouldn't even be considered a ballerina.
“Yet,” Paris added, as she had every intention of reaching that level of success. If not now, then one day in the future.
“You're not paying for any of it,” she insisted, picking a few other outfits off the racks she continued to peruse. “Chris and I already discussed this. We don't want anyone else spending money on baby things when we can easily afford it on our own. Besides, he doesn't pay any attention to the credit card statements anyway. I take care of all that stuff, so he probably won't know that I've bought anything unless I shove it in his face.”
Which would be dumb and counterproductive, so she made a note to hide what outfits she bought today until a more appropriate time. She'd just have to make sure she left the tags on them and kept the receipts so she could return them if it turned out they weren't needed.
With a sigh, Paris checked the time on her cell phone. “We should get going,” she said. “We've been here long enough. Any longer and I'll end up buying the whole store.”

"I am never going to understand ballet lingo, ever. English, French or otherwise." Rene wondered how Chris could understand his wife sometimes.
"You make spoiling this two very difficult. You know that?" Rene said flatly. "I don't wanna hear it later on if I end up surprising you with stuff." Which he probably would do at some point. "I just like kids." The teen paused. "...Er, well.. I like infants... that five through twelve stage is a real handful." He muttered, thinking of his youngest sister. Though Rene chuckled at the thought of Chris being a bit oblivious with things. "So.. what you're saying is the baby shower isn't so much getting ready as it is 'Hey Chris, we're having kids. It's official.'?" He teased.
"Seriously though. I can hide some things at my place if you want? Make it a little less easier to find. Big house or not."
"You'll be back in a week to buy the store Paris. Two weeks tops. Let's be real here. You would totally stick one of those giant fluffy teddy bears in the kids room." Though, she was right. They had been there a while. There were plenty of other stores still waiting to be explored too.
