Jason hurried after the others, briefly glancing at the treasure that littered the floor before returning his sights to everyone else. They had caught up to Morgan, and the three began to argue amongst themselves for the right cause of action, before they drew their weapons and attacked each other.
He was aghast at their actions. Why were they doing such a thing?! It made no sense, especially when their enemy was so close at hand.
Now he had to think. While it was tempting to use the mirror, Gawain clearly thought it was dangerous and best be destroyed. He knew the green knight was a very wise person, so he felt he may have the best judgment in this case.
Percival also had a point, but the Great King was no where to be found, and they couldn't just wait for him to come back. There was no time for that. No, the best option was to get rid of the gate that was causing this fighting. If the enermy got their hands on it, they would be destroyed.
His mind made up, He raised his sword and brought it down upon the gate. His attack barely made a scratch, leaving him frustrated and worried. He wasn't making the wrong decision was he?
Briefly he glanced around at everyone, heart in his throat. He really didn't want to fight anyone, but if push came to shove, he may have to draw his weapon.

Stepping back, he took a deep breath then lunged forward with a grunt, putting more omph into his swing.
This time he managed to leave a tiny scratch. It was tiny, but it was something.

Two other knights stood near the gate, one attack and the other pushed along side Sammy. They argued as well, "You heard what that b*****d Morgan said. We can lock them in here, who cares who's inside already so long as we stop the darkness." She paused in her shoving to turn towards Ruth, "We have a weapon in this device, we either use that weapon or you might as well lay down your weapon and jump from the ramparts. We die either way, why not die trying to stop all the chaos?"
Her eyes turned to Jason a dark look falling over them, she had spoken to that Knight earlier, it was a shame he was trying to stop them from using the gate to save them all.

When Titus arrived to the expansive treasure cave he was at first in awe of everything around them. He wasn't sure if he had ever seen riches such as these before but something told him he hadn't.
Only allowed to take in their surroundings for a short time his attention was then diverted to the three knights and their squabble. He listened intently, catching what bits of information he needed about the gate, and came to his own conclusion. While the mirror could easily backfire it was still their greatest chance of success. Just seeing the rise of shadows in the sky back at the fallen bridge was enough to let him know this was an uphill battle with a very low chance of survival.
The disagreements had already been made but Titus could have cared less about the three knights and what they stood for or thought was right. If he was going to die it was because of the stupid a** discussion on his own part and no one else's.
So with that thought in mind he rushed forward to aid the few who were trying to push the gate into place, hoping they could move it before some of these other idiots were able to break it.

The female knight stuck a nerve. Amidst the chaos he angrily replied to her as he heard someone pushing the gate muttered before: "Well then I'll take the gamble. Even if there'll be something crawling in from there, at least it will serve as the attention catcher. We are all in disarray now, why not create a common enemy so we stand united again?" spat him in anger.
Oh crap. He did it again-lashing out at someone.

[Attacking the Gate] Remaining Gate HP: 77
Chaya stared at Gawain, his eyes reflecting his shock and disappointment. Had he really heard what he'd heard? Had the Great Knight said that he didn't respect an absent King? But the King couldn't be here all the time, and a knight's duty was to trust that his King had reasons for what he did, and to follow orders. He'd respected Gawain, but now - now he wasn't so sure. He couldn't agree with that.
But he did agree that the gate should be destroyed. If the shadows wanted it, and if it could be turned against the defenders, it was just too dangerous to be here. He raised his bow, nocked an arrow, swallowed hard, and aimed carefully. Even as he loosed the arrow, he wondered if it would do any good. It was a powerful magical artifact. Could it be destroyed by such weak attacks?
He thought he saw his arrow knock a chip away from the gate's frame. And there were other knight-apprentices attacking it. A little encouraged, he called out, "We can't let it stay here! It's too dangerous!"

It was frustrating really seeing that they were going to be fighting among themselves as well as battling the creatures and horseman outside. Really was there any good outcome to this battle? Everyone was destined to be divided and at odds which told him the gate really was their only hope.

"Merde," How much could this thing actually weigh? Titus felt like he was making little to no progress at all, not to mention he knew he was at odds with the majority standing around. It was only a matter of time before he was going to butt heads with someone over his decision but hell with it. Bring it on. He wasn't about to feel guilty over his choice even if it backfired and they unleashed an army into Camelot.

Shun stood by quietly as chaos began to break out among the ranks. Use the gate. Destroy the artifact. Defend it. The three great knights couldn't decide on a course of action and now it was dividing them as a whole. As much as he agreed with Gawain that they really shouldn't be fighting, they also needed to do something here. He furrowed his brow, resting his hand on the hilt of his sword as he watched things break out.
A chance to end this once and for all. That sounded pretty damn nice, really. Percival warned against it, but as it stood, they were on their last legs anyway. The darkness and shadows were threatening to break in at any moment, and they barely had forces as it stood.
He closed his eyes, considering the options.
It didn't take him long to come to a decision. Taking some swift strides, he made his way over and placed his hand onto the gate. With a deep breath, he began to shove it closer to the mirror.
Shun was willing to take the risk.

Chel's eyes were on the treasure, honestly. The bigwigs were talking and she was listening (well more like half listening, really), but the allure of gold, money, treasures and TREASURES appealed to her far more than some silly debate about ancients and sidhe and scary things that go bump in the night.
What did catch her attention was Morgan's promise that the mirror could potentially wipe out the sidhe, the shadows, the monsters, forever.
The sky had always been dark.
The other knights warned of dangers, but Chel would take half a chance at total victory than never trying at all. There had to be some risk in the attempt or the effort wasn't worth it.

[ Estel - ENTER ] [ Actions Used: 1/3 (Will recover one action if she wins the challenge) ]
Estel followed behind Gawain, hands trembling at her sides. She was exhausted. Gawain's words echoed through her head: They do not rule by force, but by manipulation.
Who could they trust if they couldn't trust each other? But if Gawain, Mordred, and Percival all agreed... it was Morgan who must have been corrupted by the Sidhe.
Whether or not they destroyed the gate was a question to be answered after Morgan had backed down. Fighting amongst each other - no, they couldn't do that...!
"That gate is a Sidhe artifact...!" Estel shouted. "Using it will only make things worse...! STOP that!"

((Action 3/3, rolled a crit))
Ruth is a spiteful person. Is not was. As more and more fools sought to use an artifact that was could spell their end, she felt her frustration bubble up. Picking up her skirt, she rushed forward and tried to break the gate another time. The impact was particularly satisfying this time.
"Your actions cause you to appear as an enemy already," Ruth declared to the other knight. "But my code of kindness and openness would forbid me from striking out against you."

Now that he had a little more information, Shun decided to switch his stance a bit. Gripping his sword, he looked for some sort of weakpoint in the gate, then struck. This might end up dulling his blade a bit, but Estel had a point. He didn't really like this, though. It seemed like they were going to be screwed no matter what course of action they were to take. Either they let the horsemen overrun them, or they bring the army past the walls for them.
There had to be something else they could do. But for now, he needed to try and stop the artifact from being used. Once that has happened, he could figure out where to go from there. Maybe the artifact could see some sort of use later. It did seem like a valuable resource, after all. An object that powerful...
If they could find a place to store the damn thing that wasn't deep within the castle, maybe they could trap the army, then deposit it there. Maybe in a volcano. Right now, they didn't really have other options for where to place it, however.

[ATTACKING THE GATE] - Remaining Gate HP: 64
[ enter jack ]
Gawain's words echoed in his head more than the voices in the cavern did. Sidhe. Illusions. Magic. He was still processing the new information as he followed after the Great Knight, frowning deeply. More enemies to worry about? Why hadn't they been told of the sidhe before? Why were they only being fed crumbs of information when each piece was so clearly important to their survival?
He wasn't angry with Gawain, though; at least he had been fair in attitude, if a little odd and slightly cranky. No, Jack was merely annoyed with the fact that once again, they were trapped in a small area--and worse, now the knight-apprentices were starting to turn on each other. But the decision was clear to Jack: a weapon made by their enemy was of no use to them if they could also wield it. Worse, what if the sidhe had driven them here specifically to try and use it against them?
Notching an arrow, he let it fly and watched it shatter against the gate with a satisfying sound. Familiar faces were there, also attacking. He'd seen earlier that Estel had taken Shun aside (to put it politely), and judging by the man's actions afterwards, he had been given the explanation. Chel deserved the same.
"Listen," he called to her. "That mirror was made by the sidhe--master's of manipulation. If we use it, there's a very good chance we'd fall right into their hands. Sir Gawain is right, we need to destroy it."
