"OH! Oh open it!" The girl cheered as they saw a chest. She watched with rapt attention as Chel opened the box and found a beautifully designed piece of armor inlaid with glistening rose quartz. A noise of awe left Abbi and she hopped backwards, jumping up and down in excitement.
"Its lovely! I bet it will match your hair exactly and compliment your eyes and draw out the wonderful curve of your cheeks and it truly is wonderful and--"
And all her jumping and excited shouting made the cave begin to rumble.
She knew what that meant and grabbed at Chel, pulling her quickly out toward the cave entrance as fast she could. The white avalanche advanced on them, but Abbi made sure to push the taller knight to what she hoped was the side of safety before it overtook her and swept her off to goodness knew where.
Abbi only hoped, in what she could of the last few moments of consciousness, that the beautiful and brave knight found her way to safety and thought kindly of the clumsy blue knight.
