Four different cases of dysentery, Uru had gotten very familiar with the medic quarters and the nurses there. He was thankful for their patience and their care, but he could do with not coming back with the same illness as before... Taking the rations sack from the quartermaster, the apprentice prepared himself for the quest. He was starting to think these trips to the mountain summit was not so much a quest but a weekly mugging - looting of the rider's stockpile. However, it was the king's wishes and he could not disappoint. Or disobey. Saddling up, Cedric and Uru headed out of Camelot.

Step 1: You accidentally slip, almost fall to your demise off a mountain cliff, and drop some of the food! Roll 1d6 to see how much food you lost.
Uru ventured up the western paths from Camelot. The eastern ones have been decently mapped and have been proven to be dangerous. He had lost his food a few times and gotten hurt others. However, it would appear not many creatures dare venture too close to the kingdom to attack. He was right about the western path being just as dangerous as the rest of them because Cedric bucked back after slipping, throwing Uru off. The pack slide off a cliff, but snagging on a jagged rock. The apprentice scoffed as he pulled the pack free revealing the tear along the underside. Food was lost.
Hunkering down, he counted over the rations and the supplies.

"Two rolls of linen, two ration packs..." Uru sighed relief. He didn't lose as much this time.

Step 2: A giant spider scares you so much you drop whatever it is you're eating! -5 Food
It was too cute. Cedric stared at the tiny Giant Spider as it sat on the forest path. It did not hang. There was no webbing. It was simply sitting there on the path. It's tiny paldipalps shuffling. If it had wanted to eat the horse, it would be a meal that would last a week! But perhaps he could offer something that didn't require so much digestion and fighting. Shuffling into his bag, Uru tossed out rations aside the road. Just like that, the Giant Spiderling moved aside to the food and he pressed on.

"WAH!" Uru cried as snakes erupted from the ground and the mountain walls. Cedric cried and neighed, bucking back, kicking at snapping jaws. Drawing his blade free, he defended himself and his mount as he urged the panicked creature forward, dashing through the trap.
"Snakes! It had to be snakes!"

Step 4: An old man claiming to be a wizard hands you some food. Thanks, you guess? +10 food.
"You again?" Uru questioned as he returned down from the summit. The apprentice put the shoulders away. As in doing so, the wizard oo'd at the gems imbedded in them. Black Opals, as they were called. All he had wanted was to touch them and have a moment to fawn over them. In turn, the apprentice was given the pauldrons and a sack of food to ensure a 'treasure such as this' was rehomed safely.
