She'd completely missed the stranger running to chop up the monster behind her back, as she continued to move forward.

And this was where she realized that the monster behind them had keeled over, dead.
".. or we both miss out." Dismayed with how easily she'd let herself be distracted, she moved to the corpse, and knelt down carefully against it. She looked like she was going to try and help send it's soul to the heavens, but when she stood back up, it was clear her plans were much less blessed.
She'd taken it's horn, and held it gingerly in her hands. She wasn't used to taking trophies.. this must have been a first.
