Compared to the mountains, Wilson preferred the forest. He opted to rest on one of the larger rocks decorating the path. The forest is quiet except for the occasional sounds of tiny animals walking through fallen leaves or bushes. While he is not always one for silence, for once he can appreciate it. He closed his eyes, breathing in the floral scents until he heard a particularly loud rustle.
Wilson opened his eyes and stiffened his muscles. As soon as he saw the return of the giant spider, he immediately dropped the piece of food in his hands and ran, but not before he hastily grabbed his bag of supplies.QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 24-5=19 YOUR HP: 30

As he passed through mountains once more, he paused and stood outside of the labyrinth’s entrance. He remembered his previous attempt to clear the labyrinth; it had been quite the unpleasant experience. Just the memory of it made Wilson reach up to rub his temples. He had often prided himself on being quick and nimble on his feet, so why had he been so unable to dodge the arrows? As an archer himself, it felt like double the insult.
It was a shame there was no way to bypass the labyrinth, but this was fine. He had been in here a couple times already. He had cleared it once, too. Wilson was confident he would be able to make it out.
He took a careful first step inside. The skeletons of fallen warriors and the echoes of ominous noises were still unsettling, but not as scary as the first time around.
And then, of course, he set off a trap.QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 19 YOUR HP: 25

He’d done it. Wilson had managed to reach the top of the mountain by himself! No matter how much he had fumbled around uselessly, he was now standing at the end of his journey just moments away from grabbing an artifact. Hopefully, at least.
Unlike the first time, Wilson decided to cautiously look around to make sure there was nothing to disturb him. Nothing could go wrong now, right? Hesitantly, he reached for the artifact and once he was close enough, quickly leaned forward to grab it and then pulled his arm back. He took a few steps back to see if anything would happen, and instead he found a man claiming to be a wizard.
Um. Thanks.
