"Just give me the stuff I need. I am not giving up!" Caoin held out her hand and tapped her toes in impatience. She had been here far too much lately and still had not managed to even finish an apprentice level task. What was wrong with her? Taking the bag of food she stalked outside and climbed on her mount still muttering darkly under her breath.

Maybe some people are destined to never learn, because she took the offer of another mount from the station and the same thing happened. The horse took off no sooner than she climbed out of the saddle leaving her stranded in the woods part way to the mountains. With a groan of disgust she just shook her head and started walking muttering that she was going to find a new kind of mount. Maybe she could train one of the big direwolves to carry her or something. Maybe she would just settle on being a foot soldier anything had to be easier than being abandoned time and time again.

There it was, so very close. She had seen the cape several times, but had failed to get her hands on it, but it was so close. The Rattlesnake hunter cape. It looked nicer in person than the pictures had shown, the pattern, though floral seemed to suit the cape, and she was so close she could touch it. With nervous fingers she reached out and touched the cape, and in a moment it was in her hands. She had it! She had finally managed to make her way all through the trials and she had made sure to keep enough food to get back. Sure she had lost... who knows how many mounts on the way but she did it! With almost teary eyes she started on the way back, her treasure in hand.
