Shun said nothing in regards to that first comment of hers. He didn't know who he was, and he wasn't sure if he really wanted to know. As it stood, he could only figure out that he was of lower social standing, given how he could not read. Beyond that... it was a mystery.
"Some questions are better off unanswered," he said quietly.
Blinking, he glanced down at her, then shrugged.
"That is the plan. The king is still out there. Somewhere. One of us is bound to find him sooner or later... or at least find some sort of clue as to his whereabouts are."

"I hope so." It was a dark prospect - now, with a fresh wave of newly-sworn apprentice-knights, the man who was supposed to be in charge and keep them unified had disappeared.
"I... really hope so." She slipped into the banquet hall, made her way to the closest table, and sat hard down on a bench.

Shun sighed, then fetched a couple mugs of water. He set one down in front of Estel, while drinking from the other. For now, he didn't sit, himself. He felt no need to, as it was. He did not really plan on idling for too long. There were still things he wanted to do, even if he wasn't going to set out on another journey right away.

"Thank you," she mumbled, picking up the mug with both hands and drinking from it. She made herself something of a bread-and-cheese sandwich to eat, looking back at Shun.

"I have no appetite," he answered plainly. Not now, at least. Shun had eaten on the road, but that was still some time ago. He knew he probably should eat something soon. Just not right at this very moment.

"Hmm..." Once she had finished her own food, Estel stood up, snatching a piece of cloth from under a serving dish. She spread the cloth out on the table, put some food into it, and tied it up at the top into a neat bundle - which she offered to Shun. "For later, then!"

Shun looked down at the small cloth bundle he had been offered and tilted his head. There was something... familiar about this. With some sense of hesitation, he gently picked it up.
"Thank you... I think."
Blinking, he just finished up his water before setting the mug down.
"Go see a doctor if that cough of yours does not lend up."
