At the clinic, Tulip gave a squeak of delight as she ran for the familiar building. Yet, she was used to Hatch being right there, as well. She ran for the big doors... and smacked right into them. She wobbled backward, blinking at the doors in confusion. How was she supposed to get in?! Oh, right... Shaking off the impact, she used her vine whip to grab the door handle and pulled it open. She scurried happily on in, and wasted no time in scaling the desk of the nurse. "Bell!" she yelped loudly, leaves fluttering in an excited, urgent fashion.
Hatch laughed and nodded. "It can be a bit dizzying, but her speed can be really helpful, too." He pushed ahead a little to clear the path for Magnolia. It was a busy part of the day, apparently. "Almost there. You two okay?"

The sudden entrance of the Bellsprout broke the monotony of the nurse's day. With a yelp, she jumped back in her swivel seat; making a few revolutions as she stared on at Tulip with a look of stunned surprise. "H-huh?!" she squeaked with a blink. "Is something the matter? Is someone hurt?! Is this a hold up?!"
"We're fine!" she said back. "Almost there...! Ah!" Jumping through the ajar door, the frilled end of Magnolia's sun dress whipped up from her leap. "Excuse me!" she cried aloud. "M-my Oddish is in need of some serious medical attention! Could you please see to her?"
The nurse was quick on her feet; completely shrugging off her before fright. "Of course, miss!" she said. "I'll take care of her, so do please wait here!"
Gently taking the Grass-type from the fourteen year old, the nurse hurried to the interior room to treat the Oddish. Finally relinquished of Raphana to the hands of help, Magnolia slumped down to her knees in relief as the adrenaline within her expelled.
"Oh, thank Arceus," she breathed. "She's going to be okay..."

Tulip gave a squeak of surprise. "Bellsprout!" What a silly nurse! She fluttered a little more before turning as the doors swooshed open, and gave a pleased chirp as she hopped down to go meet her trainer.
Hatch ran in after Magnolia, panting softly with a smile of relief. It would be fine. "Thanks, Tulip," he murmured as the bellsprout climbed up his back to parch on his shoulder. He walked over to where Magnolia was and put a hand on her shoulder. "Come on. Let's go to the cafeteria. Get you a cup of water or something. They'll be a minute while they check her out."

Magnolia looked up to Hatch upon his hand on her shoulder; a glazed looking coming over her eyes before she registered that he was right. Nodding her head, she stumbled to her feet, and bowed her chin parallel to her chest. "I can't remember the last time I've been so worried," she said. "A d-drink should calm be down, though." She balled a fist to stop the tremble of her hand. "Let's go..."

Seeing the girl's downtrodden state, Hatch put on his most encouraging smile. "She's in good hands. They know what they're doing here." Leading her to the cafeteria, he filled two cups with water from the dispenser, and sat at one of the little round tables dotted through the room. "Here. ..So, you and your oddish must be pretty close, for her to fight so hard to keep you safe." He smiled lightly. "It's nice to see a pokemon and her trainer with such a bond. She won't let herself stay down for long."

Magnolia took the beverage from him, but didn't readily drink. Instead, she stared down into the liquid, her mind taken by some other train of thought. "Y-yea," the fourteen year old said. "Thing is... Thing is, she isn't a fighter. She isn't strong. She's just putting up a strong front, even I know that. Raphana tries because she cares. I can't ask more of that Pokemon." She smiled to Hatch's words and took a sip of her water. "I can say the same for you and Tulip," she said. "That Bellsprout seems so fond of you."

Taking a big gulp of water, he licked his lips and nodded. "You know, a strong front can't be there without some strength holding it up from within. She seems pretty strong inside, even if she's not a fighter."
His brow rose when he and Tulip were mentioned, and he chuckled lightly. "Not sure if she's fond of me, or just fond of heckling me," he said, looking over at the pokemon.
Tulip swayed contently on her spot on Hatch's shoulder, looking up when she heard her name. "Bell!" she chirped cheerfully. As if to make a point, she used her vines to grab Hatch's cup, and tossed the water into her mouth. She contently fluttered her leaves as she met Hatch's flat stare.

"You make an earnest point," Magnolia commented as she got up from her seat and approached Tulip, tucking her dress beneath her haunches before bending to smile at the Bellsprout. Lifting her hands, she gently splayed fingers on the crest of the Flower Pokemon's head.
"She reminds me of a Pokemon I used to know," the lavender-haired trainer said. "He used to heckle me all of the time as well, annoying me to no end. I think he did it with a reason, though." She smiled to Hatch. "I had always had a stoic face, but he taught me how to express myself. I miss him to this day, but it seems I'll never see him again."
The nurse of before approached the two in the lobby and bid a small wave to Magnolia. "Just wanted to let you know your Oddish is going to be just fine," she said. "It'll be some time until I can return her to you and I'd like for you to bring her back in the morning when she's free to go, just for some added check-up."
Rising, Magnolia nodded her head. "Of course," she said, pressing the hand once on Tulip to her breast and letting out a sigh of relief.

Tulip was quite delighted to be receiving such attention. She nuzzled against the hand petting her. "Bellsprout~" she cooed contently.
Hatch frowned slightly. "I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you do get to see him again someday," he murmured with a hopeful smile. "It's good that you have such a nice memory."
When the nurse arrived, he stood and listened attentively. He smiled happily, and walked over to pat Magnolia's shoulder. "See? She's pulling through for you."
Tulip felt the relief in the air and perked up more. With a couple chirps of delight, she raced around the teens in celebration.
