Scorch was already wobbly and about to go down anyway, the hilt just expedited matters and sped the carnie more quickly into darkness. HP: 0

 Candy love left the temple without permission, she flew over the battle field looking for wounded. She landed by Scorch and gentle picked him up and took fight again, moving more slowly and flying lower with the extra weight. She took him back to camp to tend his wounds, hoping her god would forgive her, she was following her heart, she couldn't hide while others suffered. She poured a small amount of healing energy into him and cleaned his wounds, then bandaged them. She then held his hand and waited for him to wake.

Scorch had lost a lot of blood. He was thankfully completely out of it as the love follower found him and flew him back to camp, and didn't stir at all the whole time she worked to patch him up (which was a LOT of work, with his wounds). Some time afterwards, he finally groaned as he started to regain consciousness, still not really aware of his surroundings.

Candy said softly as the male began to stir "Do not fear, you are safe, please rest, you lost a lot of blood" Then she moved to fetch him water for when he woke enough, and would need to hydrate.

Scorch's eyes fluttered open slowly hearing the unfamiliar voice, though his vision was so blurry he thought he was seeing a bunch of cotton candy at first. "Wha?" he mumbles, seeing the colors move away a moment as she went to get water. The pyro tried to focus a bit more, and finally realized he was back in camp. "Ungh, I hate pirates," he finally mutters.

Candy nodded "I am Candy Love, followed of the god of love" Candy looked him over and offered him the water "Water?" she asked then she heard him mutter about pirates "Looks like you have good reason to hate pirates"

Scorch blinked. Well that was an interesting name, though he supposed considering he thought he was seeing cotton candy a moment before, it made sense. "Scorch," he just says, and nods about the pirate thing as he accepts the water, taking a drink.

Candy smiled "I'd say nice to meet you, but I don't think your pleased to have meet me, after being beaten up by a pirate" she watched him drink

Scorch laughed a little, though winced as he did so. "No, no, I'm glad you rescued me, it's getting crazy out there. And I haven't had the best of luck this war."

"Yeah. I have to try and help defend the carnival. And... I'm not the type to sit around and twiddle my thumbs. But... rest first, definitely...." He sat the glass aside as he was done and laid back down. "It wouldn't do for me to go back out too soon and undo the work you've done to me."
