"You are not old." Kaida's nose scrunched up a bit. "You are good-looking, intelligent, kind, and very good company." Her nose went back to normal, and she gave him a hopeful look. "So...dinner?"

"And old," Albert whined pathetically, but tipped his hat up and offered Kaida shy smile. "...Dinner does sound lovely, though, my dear."

"Not old." She gave him a smile back, excitement bubbling inside her. "Are you free tomorrow night? I don't have work or classes, and there's a really good little Mediterranean place not too far from where I live. Not too busy, good food, and easy on wallets."

"I am," Albert said, trying to calm his suddenly-racing heart. What was he, sixteen all over again? "But I insist you allow me to treat you, at least the first time. The second - if there is a second - we can argue, but the first... I would like to," he said, aware his face was slowly but steadily turning a bright pink in color. "Is - is that alright, Kaida?"

Oh! Kaida felt her own cheeks coloring as she nodded. "That's alright, yeah. What time do you want to meet up? I'm good with anything." She had a date! A date with an amazing guy who was cute and smart and not an a*****e. Unlike her last boyfriend.

Albert smiled and ducked a finger into his collar, fidgeting with it nervously even as he tried to think of something else to say. "I ah - suppose I'll see you tomorrow, then?" He asked, voice curiously fragile. "I ... probably should go see about making up with my son, after all. He's doubtless drowning his sorrows in heavy metal music right about now..."

Kaida giggled, nodding. "He has good choice in music. Go on. I'll talk to you tomorrow." She got up, looked thoughtful for a few seconds, then placed a quick kiss on his cheek before jogging off, waving. And praying she hadn't overstepped any boundaries with that little kiss.

Albert watched her go, hand pressed to his cheek for a long time after Kaida left. Had he really just agreed to a date with a young woman over a decade younger than he was? When he was about to become a grandfather? Apparently so. Getting up from his previous seat on the bench, the tall man went to find Flynn, all the while wondering one thing - Did this make him a 'sugar daddy'?
