She listened to Ime's story and smiled fondly at how much the girl seemed to care about her friend. It was interesting for her to learn that the war was actually the reason that Ime got to meet people. Sy had to wonder if it would have been different for her if she'd been somewhere close to the war, or at least had been somewhere that the effects could have been heavily felt. The red head fell into silence as she processed this and tried to come up with "what if" scenarios.

"It's very nice... very different from Sauti," Ime offered with a nod. Where there were rocks and circling birds in Sauti, there were colorful trees bearing fruit and gliding maglardilla. Every place was charming for its own reasons. Jauhar, perhaps for the abundant life. "Everything is violet and blue. There's crystals that just sort of grow up out of the ground and you can't turn a corner without seeing something new." Feeling as if the girl that had brought her here was somehow removed from the conversation, Ime turned to Syqvara and smiled.
"You travel?"

Cyn listened to Ime's description and tried to imagine it for himself. It was hard to do when all you could imagine was places around your home. Apparently his twin has done a bit of traveling or at least gotten lucky lately. She has met a lot of people recently, and really moved on. He was proud of her, but it was making him rethink his choices.

What Ime described was exactly what Sy had read about. It was comforting to know that the book had not been wrong. She'd not crossed the border into Jauhar yet but it was promised to her that she would. When the girl directed a question at her she froze for a second before it registered in her mind and she shook her head. "No. I haven't had the courage to go far. Mostly I've stayed close to home. My friend took me to his house which is about an hours walk from here." And that was about as far as she had gotten. "He said he would take me into Jauhar sometime." She trailed off a little. Syqvara wasn't sure when it would be that she got to travel with her friend again.

Ime nodded. Alriht then, so she hadn't done any traveling, but that was just fine.
"When I was younger I only really knew Sauti. We traveled between villages and that was it. Since the war, though..." she shrugged. It was hard to see the war as having any sort of positive effect, but it had brought her into a larger world. She didn't know what would have become of her if the war hadn't taken place. "I got to see new places. I knew I had to get out there. I went to Neued just before the last battle, they had an illness creeping through their young magic users. I had to figure out what and why before anyone else passed, and then the battle. I stayed a while after the battle to help them rebuild. You should see the place now!"

Cyn felt out of place in this conversation for he had gone nowhere far away. He had devoted himself to his training as much as he could. It gave him purpose, and at the same time took away all of his worries. "You've done a lot of good it seems. I'm sure your parents and friends are proud of you." With a smile Cyn nodded with the statement to prove his sincerity. "Maybe it's time I see what I can find outside this place." Under his breath, a more whisper to himself than trying to hide it.

As she was told everything that Ime did she couldn't help but be in awe. This girl had done so much more than she could even dream of doing. It made her wonder if maybe she needed to do more in order to... No, she wouldn't let her mind go that way. Instead she smiled as she caught her brother's whisper. "You can always go with me." She gave a small giggle then lifted her cup to her lips so that she could take another drink. Once that was done she looked at Ime again and smiled. "I'm envious. You seem so.. well learned."

Ime felt her cheeks grow hot. No, it wasn't like that! She wasn't some kind of world-weary hero! Sure, she'd helped in Neued, fine, and her profession had lent itself to some actual healing, but it was all happenstance.
"If you get a chance to explore, even a little, I'd say go for it. There's so much to learn from the people of Tendaji. You'll see things you'd never expect. I'm no better than anyone else, I swear.

Cyn gave a startled look towards his sister for a moment, had she read his mind? Inside his head Cyn chuckled at himself realizing he had spoken aloud. "You just want to introduce me to your boyfriends to brag." Giving Syq a coy smile, Cyn chuckled quickly. "We'll see where things go. I'll have to see how my trainer feels about me leaving." Turning his attention back to Ime, Cyn grinned. "You shouldn't deny the things you've done, especially if you've helped people out."

Sy's face was once again a bright red color. This time the culprit was her own brother. While it was nothing new for him to embarrass her she hadn't expected him to make such a statement just then. So now she likely seemed as though she was involved with others. Feeling very on the spot the leaf girl turned her head from the conversation so that she could attempt to get a hold on the blush that threatened to have her looking like a vegetable for life.

Ime smiled at the gentle tease and blushed vividly at the young man's insistence. Sure, she helped people. It was her job. It was her nature. That didn't give her any more worth than a warrior, a trader, a tiny child. Still, it wouldn't be polite to refute him. What did it matter, anyway? Everyone was allowed to believe what they liked. That was half the fun of exploring.
She turned to see Syqvara turn away and laughed lightly.
"Oh, don't be embarrassed," she reassured the girl, feeling her own cheeks growing hotter, "I just went on my first date the other day." It was perhaps a bit personal for her and the twins' current relationship, but what of it? She had always been open, and if it served to make someone happy, so be it! She was well aware Cyn might be poking fun at Syqvara and a male friend or crush, but she wasn't concerned. What could the two possibly do with the information?

Cyn chuckled to himself inside his head, keeping it in so as to not embarrass or humiliate Syqvara more. Though he did crack a small smile at her blush. "There is no need to turn into a tomato. You have friends, who happen to be boys. It's rather impressive given that only a month ago I was your translator. You've come far, and in the process met people." Cyn nodded towards Ime as if to indicate he meant people like her. "Teasing you is my privilege, given that I am your twin. I'm sure if I met someone you'll secretly jest about them to me too."

When Ime made mention of going on a date she turned a bit more red. She shook her head and caused her red hair to fall in front of one eye. "N-no, I... I haven't d-dated.. o-or.." She gave a groan and lowered her head into her hands after setting her drink down. This was so embarrassing! With her heart racing she did her best to stop the jitters she felt. "I am j-just friends.. not... not that." Besides, the one she did have a crush on was in love with someone else. What joy for her. When she thought her blush was under control she peeked up at them both. "S-someone would h-have to l-l-like me in that w-way for.. for that k-kind of thing." And as far as she knew, no one did.

Ime just smiled. A week ago she could have said the same for herself, and now there were plans to travel together. She'd never been interested in anyone before and then bam! It had happened all at once and it was as exciting as it was frightening.
"Someone will, I can assure you that," she offered with a little nod. Syqvara might be a little quiet but she was a pretty girl and seemed sweet enough. Some day, someone would work hard to win her affections. That time just didn't seem to have come yet.

Cyn nodded right along with Ime. "She is right ya know. I tease ya about them boys because you react to it, but one day I hope when I tease you, you'll look at me and just smile and nod." Giving his twin a smile of his own, Cyn nodded once again. "That's how I'll know it's serious, and that is when you'll have to let me meet them. They'll have to pass my inspection."
