Galena drew back at the cringe, looking upset and concerned, "Oh, Antiope..." She sighed, drawing closer to the mantis senshi's body and stroking her side with gentle pets that were negligible in any kind of pressure over her skin and served more as just a motion.
She moved on to pet her hair again.
"I'm sorry she hurt you," She said, nuzzling in to settle close.

As Galena's affections got gentler, the Mantis senshi seemed to ease into them. "It just means I need to get stronger than her, simple as that!" Clearly not an easy task from what the cat was implying, but at least the little senshi had a goal to work towards.
In a rather immodest manner, she reached to the bottom of her fuku's jacket and lifted it up to show off the impressively large bruise that had blossomed from the bottom of her rib cage.
"I guess that's the difference between her punching something versus just slapping it." She offered a laugh which seemed a lot less self-pitying than some of her others from the evening.

Galena's face flushed a bit and although she was momentarily distracted by the bruise, she put her hand over one of Antiope's holding her fuku and tried to guide it down.
"Sweetie, maybe don't... lift up your top in a public place."
Although logically, if anyone were watching, Galena ran the risk of being pegged a traitor. But modesty was clearly more important. That, and it was easier than telling Antiope that she would never be stronger than a princess. It took her a second to land on the most logical and merciful answer being a lie.
"I'm sure you'll be able to beat her in no time," She said with one of her typically restrained smiles.

Shrugging, the Mantis senshi confessed "I don't see what the big deal is... it isn't like anybody else is around, Gal!" She allow her hands to be guided down before flopping back in defeat again. Blowing a small puff of air out of her mouth, she mentioned "It will take a lot of work... lots of training... it'll be fun!"
Speaking of training, Antiope looked back to the field where the two would usually spar. "...I'm sorry that we aren't really using your training time very productively, Gal... I think next week I will be better... we could totally double up next time. It's only fair, right?"

"Don't feel bad, everyone needs a break sometimes," Galena laughed, taking the opportunity to nuzzle her nose close to Antiope's cheek. It was easier, to progressively increase the physical affection with the petting.
"We can definitely double up next time. We'll just take extra tea breaks. You can ring that matcha I like."
She wistfully ran her fingers down one of Antiope's braids as if fantasizing their time was always going to be easy going picnics. "It'll be fun."

Glancing to the face that was next to hers, the girl rolled over slightly so that her nose was touching Galena's. There was something nice about all of this, though she couldn't place what specifically made this so nice. Maybe it was that the captain was so close, or that she was using such a gentle touch to fuss with her hair.
"...I... actually have that tea with me today..." she murmured with a smile. "I just didn't get anything set up... I... was thinking was all..."
She smiled before sitting up slightly, shifting her nose from its Galena-nose resting place, gesturing with the back of her hand towards her Gym bag.

"Oh" Galena made an effort to sound genuinely excited, bumping noses with Antiope before sitting up straight.
"You know me too well, Antiope. Will you teach me how you mix it? I can never get it right."
At least for tonight she could have her favorite senshi and her favorite tea, and hard choices could be put off until later.
