The Highway: Soul found and captured
No sooner had he thought those words than a little moth fluttered by. His nose picked up the scent of death and, sure enough, he followed it to a little hut beside the highway that had a bug zapper. The moth flew in circles until -ZZZZZZZ- it was caught in the wires of the light.
The husky lifted his hands to catch the soul before it drifted away as well, bringing it close to him to keep it safe.

No sooner had he made sure the moth's soul made it across the plains to safety than another bug - a bigger one - got caught in the wire as well. This one took a bit longer to fry, but eventually its soul was released from its body as well. The husky ushered it along before moving on to the road.

In the road lay a possum, hit by a car and certainly not faking dead. The husky darted over to it and searched for a soul, surprised it had lingered this long. It was like it had been waiting for him! So cute! He gave a thankful yip before sending it on its way as well.
