Yelping as she was scooped up into V'demhe's arms Teiluj felt her heart fluttering in her chest. Surprise and confusion mingled together as her blush deepened. Just what was going on? Looking up at V'demhe Teiluj turned to follow her gaze. She was heading towards the village? Did she really intent to walk through carrying her like this? Was she crazy? A sudden panic rose in her chest. "V'demhe... Dem wait! Trust me you don't..." Teiluj raised her hand to rest it on the Alkdikes shoulder. She did want any harm to come close to V'demhe, especially if it was from her own kind.

Her words however had ended there. Her eyes had locked with the girls. She was smiling? Why would she be so happy to be carrying a hybrid through the village. "We could just go around Ast." Teiluj suggested in a whisper. Her heart picking up speed as she spoke. What was going on here!?

Teiluj gave V'dheme a soft smile as she pointed in another direction. "If we wind back this way, slightly, up that way for a while the lake is beautiful. Nodding she started walking. It wasn't that she didn't want to be seen with V'demhe, she enjoyed the company of her friend. It was more that she worried for her friend that she didn't want others to come after her in return. Even if she insisted it wasn't a bother. Besides her playfulness had a way of jarring Teiluj into a happier mood than she had been lately. Selfishly Teiluj didn't want that to end, another reason why she was avoiding the village, she just couldn't find herself capable of telling that to her friend.

Stopping in her tracks Teiluj paused to look up at V'demhe. Feeling her fingers in her hair. "You really want to put beads in my hair?" Giving her a smile Teiluj beamed at the idea. Nodding she pointed towards the lake. "I would really like that V'demhe. Once we get to the lake that would be a good idea."

Blushing Teiluj looked up at V'demhe. She had never heard those words spoken to her before. Who would want to make sure she was happy? Looking away it was hard for Teiluj to even consider someone wanting her to be happy, aside from her mother. As the walked in silence again until V'demhe spoke again, Teiluj smiled gracefully. "Thank you." They were the only words she knew to use in such a situation. How did one even start to talk about themselves?

Drowning in her thoughts, Teiluj wiggled with a giggling yelp as V'demhe poked her side. Realizing Dem was laughing, Teiluj giggled a little harder. "Why you! See if I'll let that happen again." Breaking into a run Teiluj wanted to continue this small game. Darting into the trees to see if V'demhe was able to follow her. With shorter legs Teiluj knew she would have to run faster just to stay ahead.

Caught! Teiluj doubled over in laughter as V'demhes fingers deftly moved in a tickling motion. Her body coiled up in a ball on the ground as she continued to laugh. Gasping for air when Dem had stopped tickling her. Looking up at her Teiluj laughed again before taking another deep breath to calm herself. She could sense the water she had spoke of not far off.

Pushing herself to her feet Teiluj glanced towards the water. "It's not far off now. Just a few paces that way. C'mon I'll show you." Reaching out Teiluj wanted to grab hold of V'demhe's wrist to guide her towards the water.

Teiluj wasn't aware she had taken V'demhe's hand instead of her wrist. Her back to the taller Alkidike she guided her through the trees. Ducking here and climbing over a few roots there. Eventually she pushed long dangling branches out of her way before pointing to the shifting water. Looking up Teiluj smiled, every few leaves seemed to be spotted with strange glowing caterpillars. Teiluj recalled that some of them had the tendency to turn into the beautiful glowing Nandwa.

"See isn't it beautiful. I know it's not really a hidden place as it's a water source and many people from Ast use it. But I love to come here to relax every once in a while. And it's usually pretty quiet."

A shiver ran up Teiluj's spine as Dem leaned to speak into her ear. "Y-your Alki?" Teiluj blushed as she hurriedly turned to look at V'demhe. A startled expression mingled with the blush settled on her face. What exactly did she mean by her alkidike? Watching as she motioned for her to lead towards the water. Oh right, Dem had wanted to go for a swim. Right, a swim... her yellow eyes watched the water carefully. She felt strange at the idea of swimming with V'demhe on the shore just watching. But quietly nodded and moved towards the water.

Keeping the braids in her hair Teiluj slipped into the water. Loving the way it felt as it danced around her skin. The way the soft earth felt against her rough feet. "It would be easier to put beads in, if it's wet right?" Teiluj asked playfully holding one of her hands out to V'demhe in a motion meant to tell her the water was where she would rather the young woman stood.

Teiluj was pleased that her friend was willing to join her in the water after having first suggested it. Watching V'demhe carefully Teiluj dipped her hands into the water, flicking it up her arms before a large splash drenched her. Antenna weighed down by the water Teiluj snapped her head to look at V'demhe. A large grin on her face. Oh so she wanted to play, Teiluj could do that! Dipping her hands in the water, Teiluj brought them out with as much force as she could manage. The water cupped in her hands splashed out towards V'demhe. Laughter broke out of Teiluj as she attempted to splash Dem again with another wave.

Teiluj laughed at the look on V'demhe's face, squealing playfully at V'demhe's threat. Sure she might pay for it but that didn't stop her from trying to avoid the punishment for a while. This had been the most fun Teiluj had been able to have in far longer than she could remember. It was refreshing to be around someone who was free of the pains of the world. Who didn't see the differences of hybrid or earthling and Alkidike. Who saw her.

Splashed with water Teiluj ducked as quickly as she could under one arm darting around behind V'demhe in order to take off along the shore. If V'demhe meant to punish her she would have to catch her first.
