"I'm not," Evan protested halfheartedly, more interested in watching Leslie's progress than arguing with him. "Nothing wrong with making sure Stormy's friends are kept safe. Why are you so angry all the time?" To be fair, Leslie had been pretty okay during the exercise. Evan imagined that would chance once he had a chance to look in the mirror. Evan had to do something while Leslie was passed out, after all.

And it wasn't like Leslie wasn't going to get a chance to reciprocate. Evan really should have been paying more attention to his tower.

Evan jerked back into consciousness with a snort and a bleary blink. "I know she is," continuing their conversation as if his little nap had only been a brief pause, "but she gives a ******** about you, for whatever reason, and if dragging you out here and making you get qualified for bandages makes the difference between her having to bury another friend or not, then I'll do it all damn day. And now we both got them, so, you know." He noticed that Leslie's tower was still standing and pushed it over for him.
