Christmas was fast approaching, they were already past black Friday, and that meant some of the best clothing was out and on display in the windows of some of the nicest boutiques in the city. Fur, fake or not, was on display in so many windows Katya didn’t know which windows to look at first. It was only after seeing a coat, of such snow white fur, being taken off a mannequin that her mind was made up.

She hurried her little paws over to that window, ignoring the one she’d just been about to look into, as she glued herself to the ground in front of this boutiques window as she waited to see the coat again or perhaps catch a glimpse of the person trying it on, if she was lucky. She hadn’t seen the coat before, so it must be new, as she came down to this part of the city fairly often, and she needed to see this coat before it was sold!

Flexing her paws, her claws coming out for a moment, she sat waiting for when she might see it and soon she did! It wasn’t being put back onto the mannequin though but she saw the women wearing it. A tall blond thing, obviously a dye job unlike her General who was a natural blond, with dark eyes and who looked a bit too old to wear such a lovely style coat. She knew she shouldn’t act out so much but she stood up on her back legs and reached up with her front ones, as if to gain some attention from the people inside, but it didn’t seem to do anything for her so she settled back onto the ground.

It was after some time, the woman had already vanished somewhere else in the store, that the woman came out with two heavy bags from the store dangling from her arm. That was when Katya struck and she went after the woman and tangled herself up in the blonds legs as she rubbed against her, almost tripped her, and made loud purring noises as she tried to gain the woman’s attention. When she almost had tripped the poor thing she was rewarded with the woman bending down to scold her, something she completely ignored, as she instead jumped right into her shopping back containing the coat and curled up – or at least tried to. She was scooped up before she could lay herself down. Tossed onto the ground by the lady she watched her walk off in a huff while spouting some insulting things. This didn’t deter her, of course not, as she gave chase and rather than the previous tactics she set out for revenge.

As soon as she was able Katya got her paws muddy, reminding herself it was all for a good cause, and following after the woman she sought to pounce at the woman’s back and muddy up the expensive looking coat she wore. Her claws came out as well so she let them tear through the fabric. As she felt the fibers give way under her sharp claws she felt a thrill of satisfaction run through her before she had to run off, the damn woman was turning and swinging those bags at her! How dare she! Hissing once she took off. She had punished her, though not as much as she wished she could have. That would teach her!

Shopping was one of the many things she could not do, not on her own anyway, as it was rather impossible for a cat to do any sort of shopping. She could, and did, however window shop which was just what he guardian cat was doing tonight. She’d already had dinner, some chicken dish her human counterpart had cooked - he was so good to her, and now she was out doing some window shopping. She couldn’t make purchases on her own but she could see things she liked, things she deserved, and could then return home to tell her human about the items. He got her books so why not other pretty things?

He had, on very rare occasion, put his foot down and refused to buy her something but it was rare. He seemed to be willing to get her pretty things, so long as they weren’t too expensive (his words not hers). She didn’t know why price mattered so much, so long as she was happy and looked good what did it matter?

Passing by a few shops, whilst avoiding being stepped on, Katya made her way toward her favorite shops and moved to sit in the middle of the sidewalk. Her tail, curled about herself, was kept close for protection while her green eyes looked up into the storefront windows at the lovely display. The clothing was nice, as usual, and the style was rather dark and edgy. It wasn’t anything she would wear but it was certainly eye catching, she prefered elegant styles, watching as some woman nearly tripped over her the guardian cat lifted her head and turned bored green eyes onto the cursing woman.

Had she really just been cursed at? It wasn’t her fault that the woman had nearly tripped on her, she should have watched where she was going! Puffing herself up, ignoring someone else's comment about a dressed up cat wandering about, and decided to follow that audacious woman.

Bounding between people, just barely dodging people's feet and bags, the russian blue managed to catch up to the rather rotund woman and that was when she launched her attack. With a flying leap she aimed right for the back of those large, and rather over worked, ankles and sunk her sharp claws in. Hissing loudly she used her grip to climb up the women's legs before sinking her front claws into the women's mid length skirt and started shredding. Her back legs were hugging about a rather large leg as much as they could.

Green eyes watched as the flailing and screaming started while ears twitched as they took in every scream, shout, and the people around them who had stopped to watch in shock. Hissing loudly as she ducked her head to avoid a an arm aimed for her face, she moved to sink her teeth into whatever flesh they could reach. How dare she try and hit her beautiful face!

Clinging to the woman she was happy to note how easily the threads which made up the skirt separated under her claws, oh she loved hearing the sounds of ripping and tearing fabric, as she left the skirt in tatters. It was from behind that she was grabbed, she had not heard the person approaching over the cacophony of noise, and hissed loudly when she felt the hands go about her. It was by instinct, and just a knee jerk reaction, that she dug all four sets of claws in and sunk her teeth in. All in an effort to continue her attack, but it didn’t bring home the win as she was pried off the bleeding, screaming, woman.

Such a shame really, she was enjoying this, as she was grabbed she wriggled about in the arms of her captor and went to try and rake her claws against his flesh as well - whatever she could reach. She was not opposed to making this man, buff as he was, bleed for their interference.

However, she found herself unable to reach them as they kept her at a good distance and all the flailing she did achieved nothing - damn it. Her hat had landed on the ground and she was not pleased - not at all.

There was no collar, or tag, about her neck when someone daring enough went to look. It was when they went for the pearl necklace about her neck, intending to remove it from the feel of where there hands were going, that Katya broke free from the hands holding her. Dropping to the ground she took a moment to hiss a warning at the person who had gone for her necklace before she went to grab her little pink tiara and take off, with it in her mouth. She might have lost this fight but she was out numbered. She would have won otherwise.

Anger bubbled inside of her, boiling, as it filled her with a hot rage that by the time she got herself home had her snapping at Alexandre to power up - they were going out...she wanted to fight someone.

He didn’t question her, didn’t try and coddle her, he was good and understanding. She was out for blood tonight, because it had been denied her on the sidewalk by some man...some very hot man.

She knew youma disliked guardian cats like herself, even though they served chaos, and that they disliked corrupted senshi. She figured they were all just too stupid to realize they served chaos and should be treated better. They just sensed guardian cat and senshi and went for it. That didn’t mean she accepted or even liked it - far from it. It did however make her job harder, as she couldn’t be alone down in the castle or the rift. She also had to be careful when out and about the city - like now.

The problem was however that there were a lot of youma and that meant her risk of one coming across her path was fairly high, even though the city was large and sprawling.

She hadn’t tried to run into a youma, why would she? But it seemed that the youma she sensed off a ways from her location, thankfully, had sensed her as well and decided to make a midnight meal of her? Or something similar. The point was the same, no matter what the youma had in store for her, it had come after her signature and was now chasing her through the city as she tried her best to avoid it whilst not getting run over by a car.

Running around a corner, nearly slamming into some rather rotund women's legs, Katya ignored the shouting of the woman and darted across the street in an attempt to put some distance down between herself and the hellhound looking youma, never mind that it seemed to have the teeth of a saber tooth tiger. It was when she reached the other corner that she took a moment to glance over her shoulder. She could still feel the youma approaching, the darkness of its aura hitting her senses hard and crashing over them.

If she could get home she would be safe, or find some officer - preferably someone higher in rank. All she needed was someone to back this damn thing off! Or maybe...just maybe she could entice the youma and find it an easy target to attack instead? But what would grab its attention and steal it away from herself?

It wasn’t until minutes later when the answer, at least she hoped it was, smacked her in the face - almost literally. She had been passing by an auto repair shop, one with a small gated off side area where it kept cars outside. She had been running by when she’d heard the clanking of chains and the barking of more than one dog. That had, for a moment or two, stopped her movements as it had spooked her already sort of frayed nerves.

Before she could run off the idea hit her, she could try and get a dog like youma more interested in these loud yapping, barking, canines and then she could slip off and head for home. The idea might not work, she knew that, but she had to try. So she moved to a hiding place just out of sight, hiding herself behind some sort of metal thing outside the shop's glass front door, which was closed and locked for the night. When the youma came it started the dogs and she watched as they went off barking and pulling on their chains. They weren’t scared of the youma, nope, they seemed to want to challenge it.

Deciding to further add to the chaos she jumped out of her hiding spot and the two things went nuts, if there leads were any longer she was sure they’d tear apart the fencing which kept them sorta safe. Watching as the youma started snarling and making noises back at them, though it didn’t bark like they did, she continued to egg things on till the youma was darting after the dogs. That done she took off for home, wanting to be quick about things as she didn’t know how long the distractions would last - literally.

“At least they aren’t smart….stupid youma.” Sniffing once aloud as she headed home, safe for now.

Once they had left the Rift the guardian cat had led the way towards the castle and her Generals office. They had the stone, well Benitoite had it right now, and it needed to be examined before it was returned to it’s place - within the necklace. She knew that Benitoite wouldn’t risk harming Bazzite just to provide him some pretty stone, he cared too much, so it was time for her to see if she picked up anything from it and run a few tests on it. She may not find out just what it did but she should be able to figure if it was potentially harmful to the youma.

So far it hadn’t provided harmful to Benitoite, or herself, but there really was no telling what it may do to a youma or if it would react to certain things - things which it may be subjected to whilst in Bazzite’s possession. Just the fact he was a youma could cause something to happen, something which hadn’t happened to herself or Benitoite, because they were not the same as him aura wise or species wise either. It might be why the necklace, and this particular stone, were still in that building and no smarter youma had grabbed them and run off with them.

As Benitoite took a seat at his desk she went to work with the stone, as he’d set it down on his desk for her, she really wished she could work on her own - without him. She knew however that youma did come in and out of the castle and youma weren’t not fans of guardian cats. Alone, without her General, any stray youma would try and make a meal of her. That was perhaps the one thing she disliked about her side - she wasn’t fully welcome. She couldn’t awaken a senshi on her own or power them up and the youma would eat her. She wished she could do more - be more independant. She couldn’t even get down here without asking the ashen blond to bring her down - it was just sad.

While she moved around and worked and checked out the crystal, using various things she kept in her General’s office, Katya made a few purring, or humming, noises her tail flicking about the desk as she moved around working. “It seems safe. I can’t explain the aura it lets off but it doesn’t seem hostile. It’s not chaotic….it’s just there. It’s not weak but...not powerful either. It’s hard to explain but you sense it also.” Though he hadn’t tested it as she had been, and still was, he could surely sense it’s aura.

“I’m surprised nothing picked up on it and grabbed it up or destroyed it yet.” The russian blue added while she sat down on the desk and pawed at the stone. “I’d like to say it’s safe for Bazzite. I can’t guarantee it though. I don’t think I’d ever do that, not fully, you can never predict every situation it might be placed in while around his neck - things it might be exposed to. But I don’t know what it’ll do when in possession of a youma….since I can’t test it on a youma.” She had no way to order youma, a youma would likely kill her for such a thing, and she was sure if benitoite asked a youma might just destroy it, eat it, or run off with it.

“The best we can do is figure it’s safe. That I’ve done my best and cross our fingers when we give it to him. We could bring it home and check it on you when powered down - simply for the sake of it.” Since it wasn’t likely to come into contact with a person who wasn’t powered up, or a youma. But it was worth finding out anyway - for science.

Smiling, as best as she could, when her General nodded, accepting the idea, she took the gemstone and tossed it once watching as it vanished off into subspace. “I’ll grab it from subspace once we get home.” She said nodding her head once before leaping into Benitoite’s arms. “We should go home now. I’d like to get the civilian testing done so I can get dinner and then we can gift this to Bazzite - together.” She wanted to see what the youma would think of the gemstone, and make sure it didn’t do anything to him.

Hitting the blond with a paw, when he laughed and commented on her being a pampered princess, she stuck her nose in the air. “I’m special - you’re lucky to have me.” She stated primly, right before nuzzling his face. “Now let's go home. I’ll check this over while you cook. Then we’ll summon him up into the city - he should like that.” And then they could present him the gemstone; he was sure to like it.

Cradled in her General’s arms Katya let him walk them out of his office, the door closing behind them, before walked down a hall where the blond apparently had to drop off a file. Once that was done, she’d ask him about the file's contents later, they were teleporting out of the castle and back to Destiny City. It wasn’t too far from home where they arrived, but it wasn’t too close either, they’d have a bit of a walk but she was fine with that - since he was carrying her.

“We should wait a block or so before you power down.” She spoke gently. Nuzzling into his uniform, inhaling the scent, she felt herself purring as she let her eyes close. Once they got home she’d have her answers, about the stone, hopefully and a full belly. “I do hope the stone comes up clean.” For Benitoite’s sake, so he could gift it to Bazzite and the pendant would be complete. She knew this meant a lot to the General, he wanted the best for Bazzite and it wouldn’t be so until it was complete. She’d cross her toes for him if she could, but she couldn’t.

As the General headed off she continued to cuddle, and nuzzle, him. It wasn’t until two blocks from home that he powered down and continued the rest of the way home as a civilian.

Katya was, as those who knew her would attest, vain and she had a want for the finer things in life - she deserved them. Knowing she had subspace, and could hide things in it, the Mauvian had been very careful as she slipped into the clothing store. It was a high end store, really this wasn’t a surprise, and while workers were busy helping the various customers no one seemed to notice her. A store like this she hoped didn’t have security sitting in some backroom watching their cameras, she really didn’t want to be caught before she could do what she wanted to.

Moving under racks, hiding within circles of clothing, the russian blue was quick to move from place to place and from one hiding spot to another. She wasn’t sure just yet which of her two plans she was going to go through with but she was working on it as she went, it was a working plan. With winter still upon them, though it was loosening it’s hold on the city, faux fur coats were still being sold and they were high quality from what she could tell - the price tag was rather telling. It was as she reached the coats made of faux fur, all ranging from pale gray to black, that she settled in to figure out if she could grab one now and store it in subspace and get out of if she should try and spend the night here.

She had, just incase, packed food in subspace as she didn’t much care for going hungry. However as the workers still seemed busy, a quick peek out from the circle of coats, she figured she might just be able to make it out with a coat hidden away in subspace now and not be spotted. Even if she was spotted who would notice the missing coat and the bit of kitty magic?

Just in case there was a camera pointed at the rack, and not to have it seem like a coat had really vanished, Katya reached up to tug one of the coats from it’s hanger. As the hanger made a noise and the coat came down along with the hanger Katya was quick to work, she could hear the fast clicking of heels headed her way, and focused on putting the coat into that subspace where food was currently stores. Hanger and all, so they were less likely to notice a missing coat.

It was just as the coat, and hanger, vanished into subspace that the coats she was hiding amongst were parted and a hand reached out for her. Hissing she swatted at the hand - claws out. The woman, an older woman with fairly well done makeup...though the lipstick was too red for her pale skin, let out a loud sound of surprise and shock at the sight of her. Moving out, and around, the woman Katya was hurrying for the door even as the woman shouted something about a cat.

She caught the rest of the woman's words, along with several other people shouting, and if it wouldn’t have been out of place she would have shouted back at them but Katya was no stupid cat. She was smart and she kept silent, she knew talking cats were not normal. She might have come here to steal something but she was not here to mess with anyone's mental state, as talking would no doubt make people question their sanity and hearing.

Once out of the area, a block or so away, Katya made for a place she could teleport from as she was intending to head down to the mauvian headquarters to drop her newly acquired coat off.

She couldn’t wear a coat, how unfortunate, but she could use it as a nice seat warmer of sorts. She was going to lay claim to a seat in headquarters and if anyone dare use it, and leave their filthy scent on her coat, she would show them just how sharp her claws were. But...she would be nice enough to leave a note behind telling others to leave her coat and her seat - they were hers.
