"Yes, I decided that it would be the best thing for both of us." Slightly confused, "Oh, how was he sort of adopted?" Smiling down at little Eve then back at Baelvin, "Well it seems she'll be alright just rattled from the experience." Then looking over in the direction of Cross, "I guess so, I hope he's alright." Then sitting down he blushing, "I guess tying her to my head with my ears isn't the best idea, though, there must be another way to carry her around?" Holding her close he continues to try comforting her since he's not too sure what to do now.
She doesn't say anything while she starts licking at her front paws a few times while listening to Cocoa and Baelvin talking. Though she does look over in Cross's direction wondering if he'll walk over after he's done getting the prickles from his fur to come over and talk a bit. Since she only has her Father to talk to so it's nice to meet others and see what they are like and what they like to do.

"Well, apparently two brothers took care of him and a bunch of other kids when they were little, but then... I think the brothers had an accident and Dad was on his own after that," Baelvin attempted to recount. His father didn't really talk about it much unless someone inquired. He thought about Cocoa's dilemma about carrying Eve, then suggested, "Well, if you can't tie her to your head, maybe you could tie your ears together under your chin? Like a... a..." What was that Gaian contraption that hung from trees? "A hummock? Himmick?"
Cross looked over at the two adult Gladiers and Eve, but glanced away when he saw that Eve's gaze was on him. He would've liked to go over there, but he had nothing to say, really, besides perhaps thanking them for saving him from a bush. He was tempted to leave, but the prospect of interaction with other, friendly Gladiers was a strong deterrent. His indecision kept him where he was, halfway between potential friendship and potential escape.

"Oh, I hope he was old enough to take care of himself when that happened. And that's rather sad..." He nods his head a bit then listens to what he says next before replying, "That sounds like a really good idea, thanks. And I have no clue what that is, though, it sounds interesting?" Since she seems comforted enough he puts he down then pulls his ears down a bit to straighten them out before he picks her up and ties his ears around her a bit tighter than the last time. He smiles at Baelvin, "So far it seems more secure than when I tied her to my head."
After being tied under his chin she looks back over at Cross and almost whimpers since he hasn't come back over. Even if he doesn't talk much it is still interesting to talk with him so she calls out, "Are you going to come over here so we can talk some more? Though, if you are more comfortable with just listening that would be fine. Or are you going to leave? I mean it's all up to you, though, it'd be nice if you stayed even if you didn't say anything." Then looking up at Baelvin she smiles, "Thanks, I'm sure this way will work out a lot better." Though, she looks back over at Cross to see what he decides to do since it was rather interesting meeting him even if it had to be in a thorny bush.
