Cadence smiled when Chev entered the room, holding out her hand ready to introduce a guest that needed no introducing really. "Chevy dear look who came to see yo---." she was cut short as Olea did what Olea does best and... well panicked. The poor dear shot out of her seat sending tea and cups flying everywhere. Bits of the cup scattered about the tray and floor while tea showers sprinkled down from over head. "Good gracious!" Cadence gasped, bringing her own hands to her lips before she rushed to move the parcel Olea had brought over before it got wet. To say he was expecting that was... well... a half truth half lie. He had expected her stutter to present itself but not have her bolt to her hooves and fling tea every where. Doing the only thing he could think of doing at that moment, he darted forward in hopes to catch the cup but was clearly unsuccessful. He could only watch as the pieces flew and the crystal faunie dropped to her knees immediately, those familiar tears welling up in her eyes. "Please do not worry, it is but a cup. The important thing is are you ok Miss Olea?" he blinked, leaning down to check on her, look for any signs of blood before glancing back at his mother. "Was I interrupting something?" Once she was sure the parcel hadn't been damaged, Cadence dropped to her knees as well to help clean up the cup, gently placing a hand on Olea's to help calm her as well. "Oh no, Olea was here to see you actually. But now it seems were having a bit of a tea bath." she giggled softly, collecting the last few pieces of the broken cup and placing them on the tray before taking both Olea's hands in hers and squeezing them gently. "To see me?" he blinked, glancing at his mother and Olea on the floor before over at the parcel his mom had been fussing with just a few seconds ago. Was that really true? No one had ever came calling for him specifically before...

If it were possible to die of embarrassment, Olea was pretty sure she'd be stone cold by now. Oh goodness, how had this happened? How could she have been such a clutz? Tea dampened the ground around her, as well as her own fur, and she brushed a stray strand of mane from her face. At least her fingers were nimble and precise, after all of her work with the weaving they had to be. She picked up pieces of broken cup from the mess, setting them into a palm as she worked efficiently.
Her ears flickered and perked towards Chev as he expressed concern over her, and she felt heat rise to her cheeks. "I-I-I'm fine, uninjured, I pr-pr-promise." She used the back of her wrist to rub away tears as Princess Cadence explained that she was there to see him.
Her eyes flickered towards the carefully wrapped parcel, glad to see that Princess Cadence had moved it to safety, before her blue-purple eyes rested back on the prince. "I-i-i-it's true. I'm greatly so-so-sorry for making su-such a me-mess..."

"Hush now its fine dear. What's most important is that no one was hurt!" Cadence smiled, not able to help the giddy feeling welling up inside her. She cast her gaze towards her son, catching it and motioning to Olea with a side ways node of her head. Chev had still been trying to figure out why someone would come to see him when he caught his mother's gaze. Needing no other explanation for her gesture, except maybe to wonder what it was she had whizzing around in that head of hers, Chev bent down to gentle take one of Olea's hands in his own. "Please, allow me to help you." he said gently, placing the other hand in her mid back to help her back to her hooves. Once he had done so he moved to also help his mother to her hooves, ensuring both ladies were indeed a-ok before taking the tray and broken cup to the sink. "See no harm done." she said softly, glancing around at all the wet spots the tea had splattered. "I'll fetch something to dry these off so you don't have to sit down on something wet. Please do stay, I wont be long." she smiled, gently resting a hand on Olea's shoulder before slipping off to a back room. She made one tiny stop to peer into the kitchen to cast Chev another 'look' before disappearing completely. She had high hopes her son was catching the hints but then again she knew how her boys were. She almost had to choke down an outburst of laughter at the thought of what she might find when she came back. Still, she did as she said she would and fetched some towels to clean up the damp areas... she just... took her sweet time about it. Rubbing the back of his head, confused as to why his mother was acting in such a way, Chev finished disposing of the broken cup and setting the others out to be washed. He then made his way back into the sitting area, eyeing the parcel yet again. "Is there anything I can get for you Miss Olea?" he asked in his usual gentleman like tone, gaze shifting back down towards the parcel. It interested him though he couldn't pin point why. Was this something Olea had brought for his mother? "May I inquire about the contents of this parcel? I assume you brought it.... do forgive me if I'm prying. " he asked, pointing down at the parcel.

Olea felt her heart beating faster as Chevalier helped her to her hooves again, making sure she was stead on her own before moving to help his own mother up. She had made a small protest at first that he should help Cadence first, but that was quickly ignored as she was set upright by the alicorn.
"A-ah, please le-let me..." Olea attempted to speak against Cadence doing more work, feeling as if she should be the one to clean the mess that she'd caused. Once again, however, her words fell on deaf ears as Cadence was off again.
Which left her with Chev.
"Co-could you get me a time machine? I-I'd like to st-start this all over and may-maybe not make a fool o-of myself." She brushed another wisp of mane from her face, still feeling awkward and embarrassed. She did, however, notice that Chev continued to steal glances of the package she'd brought. A very small smile came over her as she walked over and picked it up, then gently handed it to him.
"I-it's actually for y-you. For helping me." Despite her anxiety, she felt rather confident in her work. She only worried if it was something that Chevalier would truly appreciate.Fea Line And you know what's inside already wink

Chev binked, tilting his head at her request. A time machine? Was that some kind of Equestria thing he just never heard his parents talk about? And how would it help her not look like a fool anymore? Not that he thought she did.... "Forgive me Miss Olea, I am not sure what you are meaning to say...but I do not believe you to be a fool." he said softly but apologetically as he glanced down at the package that was now handed to him. He looked up at her with confused look. "You didn't have too Miss Olea. It was my pleasure." he added.
However, he couldn't be rude so he gently began unwrapping the package slowly, so as to not tear its contents, and once the wrappings were gently tossed aside, his eyes went wide with wonder. Gently unfolding the fabric he began to realize it was a hand woven tapestry depicting what looked like several crystalized structures and ponies, objects, items, flags, etc. Chev's eyes lit up, seeming to sparkle as much as Miss Olea did. "Is this....the Crystal Empire?" he asked near breathlessly as his eyes returned to glancing over the beautiful work of art.

Olea fidgetted with her fingers, shifting on her hooves, as Chev began to unwrap the package. It hadn't mattered if it he hadn't expected a 'thank you', since Olea would have done it anyways. Now, however, she was more focused on Chev as he moved aside the final wrappings, and her heart hammered in her chest. She wasn't sure why, but she just really wanted him to like her tapestry, to like the thought behind it.
The light up in his eyes warmed her from the tips of her ears to the bottom of her hooves, and she felt a smile pull across her face. She nodded and pushed a strand of hair back. "Y-yes, it is. I-it was a project I was w-w-working on... I felt i-it suited best f-f-for you." She walked over and stood beside him, then smiled and pointed to various places, naming them and telling him stories of the place. She felt herself slip away from the tree, from the island, and returning back home to the Crystal Empire. Placing a hand on Chev's shoulder to balance herself, it was clear that she was relaxing quite a bit as she talked and her stutter vanished.

Having quietly returned with folded towels in hand, a soft smile upon her lips at what she saw. Her gaze was distracted, however momentarily, by the tapestry. Olea's remembering bringing up memories of her own and she silently listened on, noting the hand now placed on her son's shoulder. Chev's eyes wandered over the tapestry as Olea began explaining everything, pointing out various details and buildings, markings or otherwise. For a moment he felt like a child lost in a fairy tale, his mind flitting away like a bird on the breeze. He hadn't noticed her stutter had stopped or how relaxed she seemed now, he was too enthralled by her words. It wasn't until he felt her hand touch his shoulder did he jolt from his fantasies and glance down at her concerned.
"Miss Olea...." he blinked, glancing at her hand before back at her. "Thank you so very much, I am most honored you find it best suited for me...." he smiled down at her softly.Cadence took this moment to move forward, setting the towels down to begin soaking up the heavier puddles of spilled tea before moving to stand on the other side of Olea. Her eyes sparkled as she glanced over the tapestry before down at her crystal friend. "It is beautiful...just as I remember it." she said, too smiling softly as she placed her hand gently on Olea's shoulder a moment before cupping her hands together and glancing at the pair of them. "I think there is a perfect spot to hang it in your room Chevy dear?" she grinned, winking at her son.The alicorn tilted his head at his mother. She always did such weird things when he was around girls. Winking, smiling a lot, speaking in strange ways. He was certain he'd never really fully understand her and simply nodded at her question. "Yes Mother, I believe you are right." he then turned to Olea, his tone a little less formal and filled with warm gratitude. "I will take the utmost care of it Miss Olea..... you have my promise."

There was such a strange sense of comfort in reminiscing over the old Empire, over the memories of her old home. This comfort reflected in her current state, her tension that usually came from being around the Royal Alicorns completely dispersed despite how close she was to Chev. She hadn't meant to alarm him with her hand on his shoulder, and seemed to not even notice his reaction with how wrapped up in her own memories she was. At the call of her name, she was pulled back to the Tree.
"I could think of no one else more deserving than you to gift this to. And I'm very happy that I could share these memories with you." Although her cheeks tinted pink, her speech pattern remained free of stuttering. Gently, she removed her hand from Chevalier's shoulder to place it over Cadence's and giving it a gentle squeeze to acknowledge her compliment. "Thank you, Princess. I had hoped to do our home honor."
As they all pulled away, and Cadence made mention of Chevalier having a spot for it in his room, Olea felt a strange sensation of her heart skipping a beat and a fluttering in her stomach. "Chevalier..." she felt her eyes misting a little with tears as she returned his smile with an elated one of her own, and then bowed her head down a little. "I am truly happy to hear this."

"I would assume my parents more deserving than I, seeing as they lived there once upon a time." Chev smiled softly, beginning to gently roll the tapestry up."Your father and I have our own memories. But now you have something to put to our tales." Cadence laughed gently, turning towards Olea beaming. "You did it more honor than you could ever know." the pink princess smiled, leaning forward to give the crystal faunie a friendly kiss to the cheek.Glancing towards his mother, the alicorn boy cradled the tapestry in his arms as if it were made of crystal itself and would shatter from the slightest bump. He turned towards Olea when she spoke his name, noting the tears tickling the corner of her eyes. "Please do not cry Miss Olea. You have made me very happy today." he nodded, smiling. He couldn't wait to show his sister and his brother the beautiful work of art.Her hands now cupped together, Cadence glanced between the two before sighing happily. "I'm glad you decided to come for a visit Olea. Tea bath and all." she winked and laughed warmly. "You are always welcome to come over any time you want. Don't feel as if you are bothering us, okay?"Kira of Flames I think we could end this one in a post or two :3

Olea had been about to argue with Chevalier's statement, when Cadence spoke the words that she was about to say: they had their memories to live by. As Cadence praised her and placed a kiss on her cheek, it felt like Olea's heart was going to explode in her chest. She was so incredibly happy in this moment that it felt insane and dizzying.
Reaching up, she dabbed the tears that moistened her eyes, a laugh escaping her, and she covered her mouth as a smile bloomed over her face. "Oh, I do not cry for sadness, but for joy. My heart is brimming with happiness, for it knows that it has done well."
She felt so significantly better than when she had first arrived, certainly more at ease around the Princess and her son, despite the fiasco she's caused with the tea. Turning to Cadence, she smiled and nodded. "Thank you for your kindness and hospitality, Princess. I'm honored to have been in your home, and to be invited back."Fea Line Unless you have something more to add, I think we can call it in here or in your next post? And at least she finally stopped stuttering around them. Though I imagine that the next time it will start of with stuttering until she relaxes in.
