Mano tilted his head, studying Klaas's face for a moment before he shook his head, "I don't see any blood, I will let you know I see any though." He said, feeling a little bad that there was nothign he could do. If he was a healer he might be able to help but that wasn't something that he'd been trained how to do, it was just the opposite in face. A shame, he'd of much preferred healing abilities he thought to himself as he settled down next to Klaas, seeing as though he was fine with the idea of sitting with him and keeping him company while he tended to his scars nowt hat he seemed to be done with his mask. "I will be right here for as long as you need me, Klaas." He told him in a reassuring manner, giving him and a smile and a nod before he thought on what it was that he should talk about. Of course he completely forgot about all of that when Klaas described what they were doing as a 'first date', something that had Mano grinning, "Heh, sounds about right. I mean me cooking for you, chatting you up, getting kisses. That is the best sort of date for sure." He gave Klaas a little wink then, unable to help himself. To think that he would end up on a date with an Oban, not something that he'd ever really expected to happen, especially such a fun and comfortable sort of date. This was a day to remember for sure.

The Oban just gave a little laugh and sighed once he felt like his face was cooling down. He fanned it a little longer with his mask to get it dried off as well before sighing deeply. "There we go. ...If.. you don't mind I might actually like to keep it off for a bit?" He gave a little grin and then scooted closer to Mano. "Well, I mean, if there are more of those kisses I'm all for the date. Maaaaaybe something not as brief and light as the last one?" He winked with his good eye before snickering. "Okay so we can probably uh... Fish. I think I know how to do that?" Maybe? He was used to hunting but fishing was more than that. Something a lot more than that. It took a lot of patients didn't it? He hummed softly and wiggled his toes. "...It's not a bad first date, you know."

"I don't mind at all, do whatever makes you feel the most comfortable, Klaas." Mano said, giving him a smile, a smile that only seemed to brighten as Klaas came scooting over closer to him. It was something that had the Matori man quite delightedly, that he'd come this close to him, not only that but mention them sharing more kisses. He nodded his head and said, "Oh, I am only too happy to share more kisses with you, Klaas, as many as you like." He said in a promising tone. "Hm?" Oh right, fishing. Dinner first, then 'dessert' he told himself, before he gave him a grin, "Well, it's not too hard! I used to do it a lot when I was younger... ahh, fishing I mean, not kissing." He said, giving a chuckle before he hopped up to his feet, holding his hands out to Klaas, "I can show you if you like? There are various ways to go about it, though given the time of day and that the tide is out... we might be able to cheat and find ourselves a tide pool! Oh, those are the best! You just walk up to it and pluck out whatever looks tasty!" He looked quite excited, as though getting to go searching for tide pools and getting to fish was the most exciting thing ever! It had been ages since he'd been able to do such things so in a way it sort of was the most exciting thing.

The Oban just gave an embarrassed sort of look as Mano said he'd share more kisses with him in that tone. Klaas just laughed and shrugged, his hands shifting now to pull his hair off his neck to get some of the sea breeze there to help cool him off a bit. The heat was just so different here. He wasn't used to it at all! "...You probably kissed too when you were younger," Klaas teased him. He took hold of the other's hand and got up. Though, he didn't follow him directly. He took a minute to put his mask back on his face, securing it and positioning it until he was comfortable with it. Once that was said and done, the man dusted off what sand he could as he wandered out behind the Matori male and just glanced about. "How do I know what looks tasty? It all looks too raw for my tastes. Raw things aren't tasty." It was true to his taste buds. Whatever he ate, besides vegetables, needed to be at least steamed.

Mano gave a pause, thought about it for a moment, then said, "Mmm, well, yes I guess that's true. I have a bit of a bad habit when it comes to wanting to share kisses with others. There is nothing more wonderful then being able to share close proximity and affection with others, it's far better then..." He trailed off for a moment, looking thoughtful, before he shook his head and smiled, "It's just the best thing." He finished before he trotted forward, looking around for what it was that they were looking for. "Oh! See? There we go!" He chirped in a happy manner, walking over to a tide pool that was a short walk away from where the two of them had been chatting initially, coming to stand beside it. He looked down into the pool, a thoughtful look on his face, then said, "Really? Well, there are only certain things that you would want to eat raw anyway, things tend to takes much better when they are cooked over and open fire, they get a nice, woodsy flavor." He licked his lips at the mere thought. Squatting down next to the pool he motioned with one hand toward one of the creatures in there, "Have you ever tried one of those?" He asked in reference to the decent sized crab that was shuffling along the bottom of the pool. He then pointed to a few fish, "Those are good too, as are the clams, snails, urchin, really everything is good if prepared right. Since you aren't sure what might be tasty maybe pick what is the most interesting looks wise to you? No matter what you pick we can catch it and cook it up!"

"I dunno. I like kissing, but I wouldn't go around kissing everyone. 'cause some people will get super jealous about it, fights start, it's a whole thing." He waved his hand a bit and then cleared his throat. He'd seen it happen more than once in his village. Then again, Klaas thought Oban were more extreme than most, more territorial and possessive. He could be wrong, he probably was, but that's just the way he saw things. "Raw things aren't tasty," he said again, squinting lightly. He then looked to the crabs that were pointed out and shuffling around, and then the fish and he shook his head. "Ew, why would you eat a snail? They're slimy and gross, and..." He shuddered and stuck his tongue out a bit. "Just gross." Klaas snorted again and then scooted forward to find a starfish, poking it a bit more and hummed, watching it squirm and move away from him. "...Let's try the fish? It looks safest."

Mano couldn't help but to give a bit of a chuckle, "I know that there are those who might be that way, but there are also those who enjoy affectionate and the closeness of others as much as I do. It's something that I want to continue to enjoy. Fighting, it's only something I want to do when it comes to those that I want to protect. Why fight when one can love instead after all?" He was sure that he would run into those who got angry at him and became jealous eventually, but he would much prefer to just be able to enjoy the company of others instead of worry about that. As such it was Klaas who had his full attention today since they were the only two here. Giving a smile he said, "I hope that you don't mind indulging me? I know it's a little selfish, me wanting to share this time with you. I promise that while we are together I won't kiss anyone else or give anyone else by attention but you." He gave Klaas a little wink after that heartfelt declaration. After his serious moment Mano turned his attention back to the tide pool, taking in all of what Klaas had to say about the food that lay within, before nod, "Alright, my handsome friend, we will stick with fish for now. It's the easiest to prepare and cook up, so it's will make a good lunch!" Squatting down he reached his hands slowly into the water, moving them in a careful manner before catching hold of one of the tasty fish swimming in the pool, "So, how hungry are you? I'm just curious so that I know how many we should catch!"

Klaas could feel his face warming up after that declaration of ...well, not love, but of affection, he supposed, was the only good way to phrase it. He let out a slow noise and then rubbed at the back of his neck as he watched the other with a wide grin. Dang, Mano was a pretty boy. It was ridiculous just how pretty and with a statement like that, Klaas half wondered if Mano realized saying things like that could make a man possessive and not want to share him with the rest of the world. Probably not. Mano seemed a bit naive. The Oban slowly pulled his dreads off his neck and fashioned them into a bun of sorts as he slowly followed up behind Mano, leaning over him and then thought about the question. "Really hungry. I haven't eaten since yesterday morning. I've been on the move, exploring. I didn't even think about food till I decided to rest!" He laughed at the fish that was held and then bit down on his lip. "Hey, how do you do that?"

Mano gave a smile, "Alright, we will see about getting some fish and we can cook it up!" He sounded excited over the idea, ever a fan of both fishing and cooking. Turning his attention to the tide pool he inspected it closely, searching for the various things within, debating over which ones would be best for them to cook up, "Let's see... the fish will be good, the clams, even the urchins. Each of them are caught in a different manner, but since the their all trapped in the pool we can just catch them by hand." Kneeling down on the sand he looked into the pool before reaching into it, "Anything in particular that you want to try, Klaas? Or are you alright with anything that I cook up? I promise it will be good since I've had all of these things in the past." He said it in an assuring manner, wanting him to know that he knew what he was doing with the various creatures.
