When she noticed nothing happening, Sy opened her eyes. What she saw was a mad sprite fluttering away and Chandra glaring at her. The girl couldn't help the chuckle that came from her as she stepped away from her friend. "It's fine. The wound will heal eventually and this way Awen doesn't hurt herself trying to keep me away from you." Her concern was more for the familiar than her head. Her hand came up and she moved her hair so that it once again covered the bruising and cut. With that done she'd smile at Chandra. "I would hate to be the reason she gets injured."

Chandra Post 9The young man looked irritated that he wasn't able to help Syv out, after all he had the ability and he could use the practice but his jealous sprite wouldn't allow him to touch the girl. Fine. With a heavy sigh he continued to give a dark look to Awen before he gestured that they resume their walk. "My uncle could probably do a better job healing you than I could anyway.." He stated sounding miffed still that he didn't get to attempt. "Come on, we better hurry else my uncle will think we gotten eaten along the way there.."

Sy couldn't help but give a small laugh at how Chandra glared at his sprite. "Don't be mad at her, Chandra. It's not her fault I got hurt." Nor was it the sprites fault that he couldn't heal her. She thought that perhaps he wasn't able to conjure up the warm feeling he needed so she thought it best to give him an out. As he said his uncle could do a better job she nodded her head a bit and started to walk again. Making sure to keep her hair in the way of the wound so that it wouldn't be seen Syqvara looked around oddly. "Where is it we're going?" Since she had never really left her home in Yera she wasn't familiar with the direction they were walking.

Chandra Post 10Giving a frown he couldn't help but smile at Syv's words, although it was a small smile. "You give my sprite too my freedom and she will torment you." He cautioned, "But we live close to the edge of Tale a bit of the outskirts of town." Chandra continued as he pointed to a tree home that was beggining to show up in the distance. "See? I can already see it from here." Chandra stated with a nod though squinting he could make out a dark skinned figure trotting his way in their direction. "Ah..looks like my Uncle did get worried. That's like him though." He murmured as he raised a hand to wave down the shifter who slowed his pace upon spotting the duo. "Hey Uncle Tak! This is the girl I wanted you to meet." Chandra called out tot he monk who stood quietly waiting for the two to catch up to him. Takoda Post 1
Takoda had been worried about Chandra and his friend since it was taking them quite awhile to get back for their meeting. He had quickly gathered up some few supplies unsure of what he may come across once he did find them. After all magic couldn't solve everything. When he started jogging he was glad to see the familar form of Chandra coming down the small grass trail, the young red head at his side must of been the girl his nephew had gushed about to him earlier.
"Its a pleasure to meet you. I am Takoda." The shifter greeted Syv as they got within normal level of speaking voices. Takoda wasn't exactly the type to shout out things.

She smiled at Chandra then looked at Awen. "It's okay." Syqvara was too nice to be mean to the creature, even if all she wanted to do was cause trouble. As he told her where he lived she tilted her head, watching him point and listening. When he said that his uncle had gotten worried she looked forward and spotted the shifter. "I'm nervous.." Sy mentioned off hand as she chewed on her lower lip. Between Chandra calling out and then the eventual introduction to his uncle she was blushing again. "H-Hello. I'm Syqvara." Not knowing what else to do she gave a small wave of her hand.

Chandra Post 11 He gave a glance to Syv wondering how anyone could or would be nervous around his uncle, after all Takoda was probably the quietest man he'd ever met, very calm and good natured. Something he doubted he'd ever be able to manage. "Don't worry, he won't bite. " He whispered to her hastily before they approached his uncle. Just looking at Takoda and Chandra one could tell instantly that they were not related by blood. Being that the monk was full blooded shifter and Chandra was only partial as evidence by his white hair. Takoda Post 2The shifter smiled softly at Syqvara offering a curt nod of his head as he acknowledged her name. She was a quiet girl, so different from Chandra's mother he wondered if that was the appeal to him. Not that Keilana was a bad woman...just a hot headed one.
"I was told you were interested in learning about magic?" Takoda ventured trying to create small talk as to ease the young girls nervousness. His soft nature was apparant and there hardly seemed like a fighting bone in his body.

Hearing what Chandra said she felt her cheeks redden even more. Had she looked scared of the man? Still, trying to put a light tone to the situation she whispered back to her friend. "Oh, so he's not like you?" Sy would give a quick grin as she teased him before she gave her attention to Takoda. "Y-yes.. and I.. I was a-also wondering h-how you were able t-to fight.." Nervously she fidgeted and picked at her long sleeve. Syqvara knew now that fighting had its uses, the mark on her temple proved that, but she couldn't get over the fact that she didn't like it.

Chandra Post 12Normally Chandra would be irritated at such teasing, but given the circumstances and that he quite liked the girl he let it slide. Even going as far as joking at his own expense. "Heck no, my uncle and I are polar opposites." The young man explained with a nod of his head. Even with his uncle right there he didn't seem at all embarrassed to be comparing himself with the older man. Even his uncle seemed to chuckle at his nephews comment although he didn't add anything to it.
Takoda post 3The question poised at him by the young girl was perhaps a curious one,he put a hand to his chin deep in thought as he tried to think of a reasonable answer. He didn't like fighting, he would much rather avoid it if at all possible, but sometimes peaceful measures couldn't work with those who just had a primal instinct to destroy and kill.
"Fighting...although I dislike it and I don't encourage it...is sometimes unavoidable. When peaceful talks don't work...there are of course some creatures you can't reason with." He explained thinking back to how the Dretch had come after him once he had discovered their layer outside of the town of Neued. They had tried to kill him then, as well pose as his parents using a strange sort of manage that disoriented him. Shivering upon the horrible memory and the grisly nightmares it left him to this day.
"I suppose..in the end I fight...because there are those I am unwilling to leave yet. I have much time left on this earth before I am willing to die." Takoda explained as best he could.

Syqvara smiled at her friend, thankful he took her teasing in stride. It was one of the first times she had done such a thing. Looking back at Takoda she'd listen to his words. She supposed he was right. She couldn't have reasoned with the bandit that had attacked her home. Not that fighting had helped her any. Without thinking she reached up to tenderly touch the cut at her temple. "I-I guess that's s-so." It wasn't like she was willing to leave either. For that thought she glanced at Chandra. Sy wasn't willing to leave the living, and certainly not her friend. Blushing slightly she'd give a small cough and look down. "I am a-afraid of f-fighting. Hurting s-someone. O-or worse."

Chandra post 13As Sy went to touch her forehead he was reminded about the rather long and nasty looking cut she had acquired there. His attention now riveted there he reached forward so he could brush her hair out of the wound and out of her face. "Hey Uncle tak could you perhaps heal this for her?" He inquired hoping his uncle would be able to do something as simple as this since Awen wasn't going to let him touch the girl for long. She had already resorted to chittering in anger and tugging on his hair to get him to stop touching Sy.
Takoda post 4
Blinking Takoda gave another thoughtful sound as she informed him about her own fears. About to answer he was cut off when Chandra went to reveal the small cut on the girls forhead. Surprised that the boy hadn't just healed it himself he was about to ask why he hadn't of done it, when he spotted the boys rather annoyed sprite trying everything in her power to get him to stop being near the young girl.
Chuckling he nodded his head replying before he got too close to the red head.
"Fighting is never something I would..encourage. I tend to avoid it myself." He answered honestly, "Hurting others...I would much rather keep them from harm if I am able." The shifter explained as he then approached the young woman. "Is it alright if I heal your wound?" He inquired softly.

She hadn't even been aware that she was touching her head until Chandra reached out to move her hair. Sy blinked, lowered her hand quickly, and looked at her friend with an embarrassed expression. With him asking his uncle if he could heal her she took note of Awen pulling on Chandra's hair. Syqvara gave a small smile before she gently took her friend's hand in her own so that she could move it away. "Sorry Awen. Th-there, he's not t-touching me anymore." Even now she still found the sprite to be adorable. Her attention went to Takoda, her ears having caught his words about fighting, though it was his inquiry about her wound that made her look at him. After a second she nodded her head, having yet to let go of Chandra's hand. "I-I'd like that v-very much." It might even stop it from scarring. Not that that was a big concern for her. She could always cover any mark with her hair if there was one.

Chandra post: 14There was part of the young man that wished that she would stop letting Awen get away with all the naughty things she was doing. He wasn't about to let her and Sy should be allowing her to either. Frowning he reached up and scooped the little sprite out of the air. Using his fingers like restraints he kept her in the palm of his hand much to the sprites annoyance. "Stop that Awen...you know better." He chastised her before looking back to Sy and the rather large cut on her face. Takoda post 5
The shifter smiled noticing how jealous Chandra's sprite had gotten with the young woman so obviously close. It was cute though he wasn't sure to what end the sprite hoped to achieve. They were of different species after all...
"Alright if you don't mind me touching your face...I can get started on healing it." He murmured moving a dark skinned hand up and summoning small globes of water to his finger tips.

Sy let go of Chandra's hand finally. His treatment of the sprite making her give him a look. "Chandra.. it's al-alright. She is j-just protecting you." Though she really wasn't sure what the sprite thought she was protecting him from. Syqvara understood the jealousy to an extent but since she wasn't the one Chandra loved... well. A slight look of sadness crossed her face and she turned to look at Takoda instead. It was then that he said he would need to touch her face and she nodded. If that was what it took to be healed then she wouldn't shy away from it. Sy was a bit distracted when she noticed the water that formed on the man's hands. It made her blink a few times. It was interesting to see and she wandered how it would help in the healing.

Chandra Post: 15The young man sighed again, it seemed a trait of his to do so when he was trying not to sound mean. "You can't let her get away with the way she is treating you..after all I can't let her do this to everyone I meet." Chandra stated with another glare at his sprite who only stuck her tongue at him before looking to Syv with new appreciation. It was new to have someone who didn't chastise her behavior and despite herself was beginning to like this earthling girl. As Takoda went about tending to Syv's wounds he watched curiously. After all he used a different method of healing than he did and he was studying the man rather intently.
Takoda: Post 6
Giving a small smile as he gently went to touch her cheek, the water spread a bit along her skin, guided by his will he infused the healing properties into the water and it glowed slightly. The wounded wasn't something too deep and it wouldn't scar. At least he didn't think it would. Once he pulled his hand away the red line was gone the skin looking fresh and clean.
"From what I know I use my magic rather differently than others.." Takoda mused softly. "But enough of that..you wanted to know more about magic?"

Since she was busy getting healed she couldn't show Chandra the look she had. At least not fully. Syqvara looked like she was upset with him. "Y-yes, but scolding h-her all the time will make her f-feel unloved. Sh-she probably thinks I-I'm going to steal you away f-from her." A blush reached into her cheeks again but this one was caused by the fact that her face was being touched. Having the water on her as it was felt different. Sy waited then, quietly, for Takoda to finish. As he pulled his hand away hers went up to where the wound had been. "Thank you." A genuine smile spread across her lips. "Y-yes.. Is there a way to u-use magic without truly harming s-someone?" If it could be done then Sy would feel better about fighting. Defending herself and those she cared about was something she wanted to do but she couldn't do so with the knowledge that she might seriously injure someone.
