A blush bloomed across Aseara’s cheeks as he complemented her dance. She`d been complemented many times but she felt it was much more sincere from friends like Nuri.

“Thank you.” It looked like she had completely caught him off guard with her dance.

“Ah I see. I’ve done dances with others but nothing quite like that. You’ll have to teach me, I want to be master of all dances.”

A dance was already complicated enough, but a dance with weapons? Aseara didn’t know how he did it, though she was curious to see such a dance since one could always learn from other types of dances. Maybe she’d even be able to choreograph something from her dancing and this warrior dance. Aseara had never dabbled in such activities since Afsana taught all the routines, but something to make her own, something unique to stand out would be nice to have in her repertoire. Perhaps even her own interpretation of the warrior dance with another, Nuri had said something about dodging and striking while reading your partner.

“You’ve given me a good idea,” she said with a smile growing on her lips. “Now I definitely must watch this warrior dance.”

Though she if Aseara was going to be observing the warrior dance she would have to take some time away from her other dancing activities and figure out to manage. Afsana couldn’t find out or she’d surely stop her.

“Would you mind letting me know whenever you do a warrior dance? I’d really like to sit and watch you. If you don’t mind of course.”

Nuri gave her a long look as she expressed interest in the dance, and he was curious exactly how much she understood. When he spoke of his dance, he really meant his training. He saw it as a dance, because he felt it as a move and an expression. But his dance was nothing like hers, although he had a feeling she could turn it into something much more than anything he expressed. Maybe if he took some time to 'train' with her, she could take it and express something more. He had heard some whispers of tribes that did ceremonies before war, especially the female warriors deep in the jungles of Jauhar. Maybe she could take that and do ceremonies for the Obans.

"The dance I do requires a partner, so if I taught you I'd need to do it with you, and it'd require weapons as well." He explained softly in response, "There'd be no watching, at least not right now...as most of my training is for warriors only...but I'm sure we could work something out if you truly wish to watch. Although the best way to learn is to participate, or so I've found out."

And based on her movements, Nuri knew she'd most likely be a quick study, as she seemed the type able to understand movements and be quick to read a partner and adapt to their moves as well.

"You'd be a natural, Aseara. And I think you'd be the type to inspire many before the go off to war...I've heard rumor that many of the tribes in the jungle do ceremonies involving dance to give their warriors good luck in battle."

It was going t be the first time Aseara had to use a weapon; she wondered what kind he would give her. She was sure she could find some warriors sparring or something and watch them. Clapping once excitedly, Aseara beamed at him.

“Thank you so much Nuri, you have no idea what this means to me. I wish I could see these dances and somehow change them to something beautiful to make a story.”

Though she was going to have to keep this secret, if Afsana even got wind that she was seeing Nuri, an Oban noble boy, by herself she would get in trouble. So the Wind girl leaned over to Nuri so they were closer and glanced at the door once. It was said that here, the walls had ears and she needed to be careful if she wanted to keep this secret.

“You have to promise not to tell anyone,” Aseara whispered quietly. “Or else I’ll get in trouble.” She was putting a lot of trust into Nuri which she didn’t do with many. However, this was a chance she could not pass up.

Nuri swallowed the tight ball that seemed to appear in his throat as Aseara moved close, his eyes widening as she leaned close and her eyes dated to the door. His mind filled with the words of his elder brother, the warning he gave of what went on behind the closed doors of the Red Amaryllis. Was she going to thank him for his offer, as meager as it was? He was simply offering to teach her a few moves, something that many females in Oba would know. Maybe where she was from most females did not know how to fight, but instead played this type of game.

Resisting the urge to shift back in the seat, he clenched his teeth and tightened his jaw as he looked into her bright blue eyes, surprised at how much they stood out against her pale skin. When they darted to the door, his own dark ones followed her gaze, before his brow furrowed in confusion.

Yet, as she spoke, it all became clear, and he let out a breath of a laugh and felt his shoulders drop as they released the tension.

"This will be our secret, Aseara. I promise you that. Anything you need from me, I promise I will try my best to provide. You are my friend, and I take care of my friends." He wasn't sure where that last part came from, but after he said it, he knew he meant it. He also knew, as he looked into her eyes, that she seemed to be asking a lot of him as well, and he would not take advantage of throw away her trust in him. They had come far in their few meetings, and she was something different and refreshing from all the others he knew in this land.

He was honest when he said it, and he would continue to be honest as long as she would be the same.

Watching his reaction, Aseara could have sworn that he’d thought she was going to kiss him. He seemed to relax soon enough though, but the Wind girl still thought it was funny. Yes it was true that sometimes the girls did over step the rules and got paid to do things they weren’t supposed to. Aseara had never broken the rules before even if she had been asked in the future all kinds of odd things for jewels and treasure. From Nuri’s reaction it looked like the nobles were all well aware of what went on behind closed doors, yet Afsana didn’t seem to watch some as carefully as she should.

Unless she was in on it, that would explain a few things.

“Nuri,” Aseara said in her still quiet voice. “Did you think I was going to kiss you?” She was quiet for a few moments to see his reaction and then moved back with a laugh.

“Thank you. Now I just need to figure out how to get in contact without anyone knowing.”

Nuri broke out into the darkest blush of the day, and lifted a hand to scratch the back of his head. Taking a deep breath, he let it out at once before chuckling at his foolishness.

"My brother had told me stories...I apologize for assuming." He simply responded, looking into her eye as he did so and flashing her another rare smile as another form of apology. As she continued, he too thought of a good way to get in contact.

"He also mentioned that it is normal for men of my standing to become regulars...maybe I could come back again. I did enjoy spending time with you and seeing you dance. Maybe I could also bring you more candies with..." he lowered his voice, leaned closer, and as his eyes darted to the door he took on a playful smirk and continued "...messages or maps for potential locations for our lessons?"

It all felt very childish and playful in an entertaining, but Nuri quickly caught himself before straightening and clearing his throat as he waited for her reponse.

“It’s okay,” Aseara paused briefly. “Sometimes those stories are true for some of the performers. Those that earn less get desperate.” It wasn’t like he was wrong or anything, but better to let him know she wasn’t into that kind of shady business.

“Well you are most certainly welcomed to come as often as you want,” she gave him a grin. “And I’ll always have a dance for you. “ At the mention of candies, Aseara grew excited. “Yes, I will always enjoy more candy!” Then she clapped and extended out her hand towards him. “Then it’s settled, we have ourselves a deal.” There was a soft knock on the door, probably one of the workers coming to give Nuri his bill.

"It'd be a nice break to come back and talk with you as well." He said as he reached out and took her hand, but instead of shaking it, he gently tugged on her wrist and raised her hand so he could brush his lips against the top. It was a simple gesture, one that he would do if he was courting any number of ladies, but he felt it was appropriate for the show.

"To seal our deal." He stated simply, gently lowering her hand before letting it go and moving back to glance toward the door. He too assumed that it must have been time for things to end, so he moved to stand, going back to the table where he left his belongings to gather his bag with his coin.

Now was the tough part, hopefully there would be some sort of hint exactly what he would pay. His brow furrowed at the thought.

If he was watching her, he would have noticed her cheeks darkening into a deep red color. Nobles bowed to her, they didn’t kiss her hand like a noble lady. Aseara blinked a few times but eventually got up from her seat. She didn’t know what to say so she didn’t say anything feeling a little shy now.

“Let me walk you to the door, they’ll have your bill ready on the way there.” It felt wrong that he had to pay to come see her; she would definitely try and pay him back on their little excursions. She wished he wouldn’t have to come so often, but there was no choice for now. Opening the door Aseara walked out into the hall and glanced at a servant and motioned to him with her head. The man walked up to her and handed her the folded piece of paper before retreating.

“I’ve got your bill.” Aseara said to Nuri when he walked out. She extended the bill towards him and began walking towards the entrance. Afsana would probably be waiting there and would want news.

Nuri missed all of her blushing, as observant as he may be he was completely oblivious when he mattered, and simply nodded as she led him out of the room. The walk back was the same as the walk there, and he took a moment to examine the bill as they moved. The price wasn't terrible, and he had more than enough to compensate the cost in his bag. In fact, he figured that he would leave a little extra considering that she was his friend and he wanted to help her out the best he could. Hopefully she wouldn't mind. He didn't.

As they neared the entrance, he moved to face her and lifted his bag, pulling out the correct amount and then some. Providing it to her, he held it to her hand. He was well aware of the eyes and ears, and made sure to keep the conversation cordial as he kept his features composed.

"Thank you again Aseara. The dance was breathtaking and the company beyond satisfactory. I would like to come back soon. Do I need to arrange my visit next time?"

As Nuri handed her the money, Aseara tried to keep her own features from showing her surprise. A few of the nobles who were waiting around in the main entrance watched them curiously though left them alone, as did Afsana. Part of the money would go to Afsana and the other would be hers. The tip he had given her would also be her own, she was looking forward to putting it in a safe place with the rest of her savings. She was really going to make it up to him next time they met and she was going to make sure she was his best pupil.

“Thank you,” She said shyly. “If you’d like to have me as your entertainer then you may want to leave a note with the lady over there,” Aseara looked to their left where a woman in orange robes was speaking with another client. “I hope you visit again soon.”

Nuri knew any touching would most likely be inappropriate so he merely nodded and stepped back.

"I will...soon." He wanted to say so much more, to let her know he would think about the dancing she wanted to learn, and their conversation, but he couldn't. So instead, he merely gave her one last nod and turned away, his back straight as he moved purposefully toward the woman in orange so that everyone would know that he meant to visit again and visit her alone.

Hopefully, next time he would have a plan for them to meet not in the Red Amaryllis, but in his secret training spot, where he could show her some new dancing moves. He would bring her candies with a special note, a meeting time that would work well for both. Already his mind ticked with plans and strategies, set in motion as the warrior in him began to wake. Yet, it wasn't all about that...he still planned to come to see her dance, and to speak about her past and to learn about the woman as well. She was his friend, and he wanted to know more about Aseara, and just Aseara. He could be a little selfish too.
