"There's like. No rush but that sounds nice?" Noah answered, smiling shyly. He was practically glowing with happiness at how well his presents had been received; he'd put a lot of thought into them and taken the time and effort to go and get something he really thought Al would enjoy, and he was pleased to find that he'd picked well. He didn't really know what kind of music Al liked other than the classical pieces, so he'd picked stuff he enjoyed and hoped. He would ask later.
He wasn't offended by the book being quickly stuffed back into the bag. While he didn't think Al needed to be embarrassed or secretive about cooking, after a couple of conversations on the subject he'd accepted that that was the case, and the bag had served two purposes - the first purpose being to make carrying the presents easier, but the second being to provide a hiding spot for the embarrassing present after it was unwrapped.

Al had scooted his chair right into Noah's so he could lean in against him. "I should order us a round anddd fetch the cake I made for anyone else who decides to show up." He grinned, "the cake you made me is mine." Although he seemed to be playfully teasing, there was a very real and very serious possessive tone in his voice. He got back up to do as he said, taking the remaining apple cake with him so he could properly hide it from thieves.
When he returned, it was with a large chocolate cake that he placed on a neighboring table, this one was also already missing a slice. He also had a full pitcher of beer and 2 mugs in his other hand. "You want to try anything special or is beer okay?" He sat the pitcher and mugs on the table he was sharing with Noah.
