Unasked, Titan had no inkling of the extra confusion he was causing in referring to the Roaring Cauldron, the very Hvergelmir, as just 'Cauldron'. He'd likely have had the exact same trouble, were it Babylon talking of two ladies with two different Cauldron's and a lot of navigating the 'her' pronoun. As it was, the inclusion of Sailor Cosmos in the equation at all just seemed a far off, impossible sort of notion equal to asking some High King to come and claim him from a gutter somewhere. Lady Cosmos was said to appear more frequently by the Negaverse brass, and Hvergelmir had said she'd be willing to help him, but he wasn't really worthy of it. They have a place set aside for the converted? Who knew. That could be very dangerous information. He tells me to help me and ease my worry. I must keep it secret no matter what. If anything happens, I must put it from my mind. That would be something the Negaverse would want to look for and know about. They must never know. The captain gave a set-jawed nod. "That is a wise thing...I guess those who change lords do so with so little left to them. " "I hadn't thought about any place to stay. " He'd thought about clothes, a little money, his family, and not leading a trail to anyone, but not specifically to any place to sleep. There isn't a Guard or Mainstay out there, I don't think. There aren't tents to live in. I guess the knight to come could still live that way if he wants, out in the woods somewhere. But that isn't just out there. That was years from now. " I don't have anything else arranged. I was confusing time. I think he will need such a place. If it isn't a trouble for you. I would tell you when I hope him found, but I must work it out with Hvergelmir. Maybe she can tell you with her ring?" Maybe Babylon's ring did the same strange phone thing as Hvergelmir's did. It seemed less exciting than the notes. It didn't leave the personal writing, the marks and feel of another person and presence. There was nothing to keep. Nothing incriminating that way, either. I am just being stupid and sentimental. "I have kept all your notes..." It was said softly, though awkwardly like others might in just blurting- unrelated to other topics of conversation except by a welling of sudden emotion and mental threads.

"I can tell Hvergelmir to contact me once she's with Nærøyfjord," he said, smiling up at the captain. He'd never considered Titan's purification to be a sure thing, but it was exciting to know that it would likely come to pass. It would be worth it, even if Titan forgot all about him - he could always make friends again. "And, you know, sooner than later you'll have a ring of your own." And then, Babylon expected, he'd never hear the end of it - but he'd enjoy it. Babylon paused, and he took an odd moment to hope that he hadn't lead Titan on or anything like that and that this was a purely platonic friendship they had. "I'm flattered," he said, feeling a blush spread over his cheeks. "Look, buddy, it's so good to see you. Hver and I were really, really worried. But, you know, it's late and I should get home. Is that okay with you?"

Nærøyfjord will have a ring...I guess. A strange thought. He will be able to speak with them all about many things. I hope he does. It has been sad to have so limited a friendship. But a good one. A light in all the dark, all of them. Titan bowed and stepped back to give Babylon his space and self. "It is okay. Thank you, Babylon. For everything. Even if we two don' t meet again- you have meant a lot to me. " Björn. Not Herger, or whatever that person will choose. I hope they have the chance to find your light as well. But it has had meaning for me- to find honor in bodies worthy again. "Far vel, Babylon."

Babylon sighed up at Titan. Well, when he put it that way, he was going to make him cry. His friend seemed to be looking at his upcoming purification as a total death of the self, which Babylon had never heard it discussed as before... but granted, he'd had the privilege of having awakened directly into his knighthood, and he'd never had to think about this for himself. "Titan, seriously, big guy," he said, "You're getting me kinda misty-eyed." He stepped forward, arms wide. "C'mon. Okay. Can I have a hug? In case I don't see you."

So plainly invited beyond the bounds of traditional honor and respect, the captain stooped to readily embrace the smaller man swiftly. Small luck and grace from the All-Father and the skeins that I have this one chance to say goodbye where I would have missed and regretted...but had no easy way to complete. And a token. Babylon will be on the other side for him. Hvergelmir. Kairatos. I can keep walking for them. "There will be nothing lost, in what is to come, that doesn't deserve it. " Twenty years was enough. If I tell it to myself enough, I can believe it. I know I can. It is what we all have done as officers. He slowly let the Mercury knight go again, bit his lip and nodded wordless. Then turned.

Babylon returned the nod. "I'll see you soon," he said, and watched the captain go. He hadn't expected this moment to feel so bittersweet when it finally came. Sighing to himself, Babylon turned away and called his lantern back to hand. He'd finished what he set out to do tonight, and it was time to go home. Ivynian Aaaaaand wrapped. biggrin
