Lawrence Eugene Yup! John De Lancie acts as both characters and was cast as Discord because the character design was heavily inspired by Q himself. I had no idea... You learn something new everyday, huh? That's very interesting.

I mean, hell, my bookshelf is lined with reference guides and extended-universe stories, and my introduction to roleplaying was through a Star Trek PBeM with my parents. Q was my favorite character in ST: The Next Generation and I have a collectible action figure of him standing on top of the aforementioned bookshelf, so naturally Discord has a special place in my heart. ^ v ^

Lawrence Eugene Yeah... Like I said, it's a cool little thing to know as a person who grew up with the show. I mean, hell, my bookshelf is lined with reference guides and extended-universe stories, and my introduction to roleplaying was through a Star Trek PBeM with my parents. Q was my favorite character in ST: The Next Generation and I have a collectible action figure of him standing on top of the aforementioned bookshelf, so naturally Discord has a special place in my heart. ^ v ^ That's really cool. Bet it makes for awesome conversations when friends come round for the first time. It's really special that you shared something like that (and role-playing!) with your parents. You must be really close to them. Q indeed sounds epic. Any likeness to Discord is great. Probably one of my favorite characters in anything ever. Pinkie Pie is up there too... Along with L and Near (death note) Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli (LOTR) Kurt (Glee) Along with a bunch of others I can't think of at the moment... I totally haven't gone off-topic... My apologies.

Originally my best bud was telling me to watch it and i played him off like everyone always does then one day i was like FINE ******** IT ILL WATCH IT ... yeah enough said lol At first i though id just be a causal fan, but then i was like ******** it consume my soul nightmare moon emotion_awesome I was a huge fan of Nightmare Moon at first, but then Discord appeared and I was like, "God damn, right in the childhood!" XD There were also a couple ordinary episodes that really got to me on an emotional level, and I'm not even going to start on the world itself and all the creatures in it. Oh, and Daniel Ingram's musical score. That was a definite selling point for me when getting into the show. You know how people are all about Glee being a musical TV show? Well, ******** that sissy cover choir bullshit, we've got animated singing pastel ponies with original tunes and lyrics just a few channels over, LOL. I actually got into the show via the music. A friend of mine sent me some PMVs one night and was telling me about the new series, which I didn't even know existed, and I watched the pilot that night. I spent the whole night marathoning and was completely converted by sunrise, haha. Have you seen the movies yet ("Equestria Girls" and "Rainbow Rocks")?

XD I don't have any of the movie toys (broke college student over here) but I do have a Discord poster and several mini-figures. There's this MLP watch being sold where I work and I'm planning to buy it when I get paid next Friday. I've got an idea for a mask that I'd like to make some day; it would look like a sort of steampunk-meets-cold-war mask for a pony's head. I'll probably use wire, foam, hot glue, spray paint, rub-n-buff and a broken pair of goggles to make it, but I'm tied between making that and making a Knock Knock cosplay before my next con.

A derpy Tank top and messenger bag and bracelet, 2 PoP figurines and a blanket closth my mu oldest daughter, cups .... yeah sold my soul XD You've got me on the making things. Not that creatively inclined sweatdrop At least not with making hands and making things from scratch. I need parts to be put together and mixed and matched. I do pixel art but that about it for me any more sweatdrop
