Ashta was quite possibly the worst host, nervously he was getting a pitcher and a glass for Sriina and in all of the jumbeled thoughts in his head managed to drop a glass to the ground shattering it on impact. So it seemed it wasn't just his brother breaking glasses. His face went a bit pink as he recalled how he had come upon his brother making out with their charge and he shook his head slightly knowing that was not going to happen in this case. He should just be happy to have found her again, his child hood crush all these years he tried not to hold out hope. But now she was here.
The broken glass seemed almost forgotten until he went to turn and then noticed it. Where was his brain today? Blinking at the fragments he then sighed and went to put the pitcher of juice down before bending over to pick up the small pieces. He was a well muscled man and it seemed almost funny watching him pick up tiny pieces of glass by hand. He really should go grab a broom...
"Ah...what ..umm training mostly. We were recently reunited with my younger brother...you remember Kyruie?" He inquired trying to make small talk whilst he was distracted with his mess.

Sriina jumped at the sudden shattering of glass on the floor, but was more than a little confused when Ashta didn't immediately go to clean it up. She carefully navigated the floor, bending over and picking up the pieces with Ashta after he had already started to move. "Here, let me help."
She nodded her head to Ashta, her smile returning and showing the dimple on her cheek. "I remember Kyruie. It's been a long time, but I don't think I ever saw you without your brother." She thought to the small boy she once knew. "How is he?"
She reached for another small shard, but the edge was jagged and deceivingly sharp. "Oh!" She mumbled, carefully pulling the tip of the glass back out of her skin. It was bleeding.

There was a pause in the retrieval of the glass when his brothers health was questioned. Perhaps it was just because he didn't want to lie to her, but...he couldn't just tell her that his brother had fallen on hard times, resorting to drug use and homosexual escapades.
"Ah...well after you left my brother was taken away not too long after you. Unfortunately he was bought by a cruel slave master...Kyruie hasn't been quite right since we've gotten him back." He explained as simply as he could. Angry flooded him as he recalled finding the man who was responsible for Kyruie's state of mind and being and not being able to exact revenge on his brothers behalf.
So angry he didn't realize he was clutching the piece of glass in his hand rather tightly resulting in the sharp edge cutting into the skin and blood dripped from the cut. The pain was slow to dawn in his haze of anger and he looked down surprised. "Ah...things have been better. Will be better...I am training him trying to build him from the hallow shell he is currently." He managed slowly.

Sriina slowly stopped picking up glass the longer Ashta spoke. It seemed like there was a lot he wasn't saying, what it was Sriina couldn't begin to guess, but what he did say was tough enough to hear. She fumbled for any words to say, not really knowing the proper etiquette in this situation.
After a moment's pause she settled for hesitantly placing a hand on his shoulder, patting momentarily. "I'm... sure he'll work through it." She looked down at his own hands and this time it was a louder "Oh!" He was bleeding. Rather badly.
"You should clean that up. It's going to get infected if it's not washed." She looked at her own poked finger, and back to the bits still left on the floor. "Do you have a broom? I can take care of this while you wrap your hand up?" She questioned.

Ashta knew she spoke true, since he used swords he couldn't exactly wield them if his hand was to get infected. best to look after it right away. Dropping the glass he had picked up into a small pile he went to dip his hand in water. The red blood quickly washed away but upon removing his hand was also quick to come back. He was going to have to bind it he supposed.
Sighing at her words he wished it was only so simple. Letting his brother 'work through it' was like asking the sun not to shine.
"Broom is in the closet over there." He managed as he dipped his hand back into the water before retrieving a cloth to press against it.
"My brother is....too easy going. I have to train him hard every day else I don't know what kind of trouble he'd be getting into." Ashta managed as he turned to look at Sriina again.

Sriina nodded her head, watching Ashta's back as he took to washing out his wound, before looking to where he pointed out the broom would be.
With the broom it was easy clean up, and before Ashta could finish with his hand she was already done and the glass was out of sight. She returned the broom to its closet and turned to face Ashta again. "I think I might be ready for that drink now." She joked.

Ashta felt himself finally begin to relax around Sriina but that smile he gave her was short lived as the front door to the house was thrown open. Ashta stiffened as he spotted two familiar people step into the household. It was his mother Leana and his father Juria. They had been talking amongst themselves in a rather loud manner, something about their youngest son before Leana cut herself off noticing that her older son was home and not only that but had a female guest.
The older woman gave Sriina a hard look, a look that described a person trying to recal something before her eyes widened in realization. "Sriina darling? Is that you?" She inquired with some doubt in her voice as she ditched the bag she had been carrying in her hands on the small chair before heading in the direction of the young woman.
Ashta gave his father a look a compress still on his hand though he tried to make little of the wound. "Ah..yes I found her in the market...small world huh?" He joked awkwardly.
Both mother and father stilled for a moment before Leana threw her arms around the young woman. "Oh my little Sriina! I was so worried when you left the farm!" She managed as she had been quite close with Sriina's mother before the two had been sold off.

The words had barely left Sriina's mouth when the door to the house was thrown open and Ashta's parents entered the small home. She assumed they were Ashta's parents at least, since she couldn't quite recall what they had looked like back in her childhood. Memory was such a strange a thing.
The woman threw her arms around Sriina and with a couple of seconds to process the situation, Sriina loosely wrapped her arms around the woman, returning the hug and smiling. "Hello. It's been years." Sriina would have to work on her small talk, she had tried to make the words sound friendly but something about them had an off note. She smiled wider to try to make up for it.
"Small world for sure." She replied to Ashta, still embraced by his mother.

Leana herself seemed just beyond delighted to see the young woman, "Oh! My! Where are my manners..? You probably don't remember me from a hole in the ground...but you use to play with the boys so much I often thought of you as my own daughter." She managed tearing up, the woman was quick to get emotional. "How is your mother? Where are you two living? I need to catch up with her!" Leana squealed sounding rather like a young girl who was meeting up with her best friend.
Juria was the calmer of the two and perhaps was giving his son a look that spelled curiousity with Ashta who was normally the hard son who brought a girl home when no one else was around.
"Where is your brother?" Juria inquired with Ashta, the eldest son returning to that hardened state as his father spoke to him.
"I had left him for a break after training..." He replied stiffly which earned him a slow nod of his fathers head.

Sriina couldn't hide the quick flash of question on her face as Leana teared up just from talking about her. How could she be so upset about something that had happened so long ago? It didn't make much sense to Sriina, but still she patted the woman's hand and smiled at the mention of her own mother. "We're living in town." She gave the woman the general idea of where her family was staying and added "I'm sure mother would love to see you."
She shot a look to Ashta, she felt out of her league here, Leana was too... emotional... energetic... too much. "Maybe you should come by some time. Mother's usually home." She scooted further away from the woman and closer to Ashta. "Maybe you would want to help me get back to the market?" She asked. The house now felt crowded and surrounded by people she didn't know she felt like she almost couldn't breath.

Ashta wasn't completely dense, he could sense that Sriina was a bit overwhelmed by his mothers rather emotional meeting. As she stepped back he stepped forward to intercept his mother from any more questions.
"Yes..I should take her back, I interrupted her during her tasks and I don't want to keep her any longer." Ashta stated with a bit of finality that suited him, his father who was silent still nodded his head, he was the type who kept his emotions inside.
"Oh...well..I will make sure to find your mother and we will have a great feast together soon." Leana stated with a nod in Sriina's direction obviously disappointed the girl couldn't stay longer. "Oh I will make sure Kyruie is hear next time I am sure he will be very excited to see you!" She chimed as you could almost see a wheel turning in her head a plan being hatched. Clapping her hands lightly she went back to her bag to gather her own stuff from the market whilst Ashta's father opened the door for the pair to leave.
"Be home quickly Ashta..I have much to discuss with you." He stated softly . Nodding Ashta allowed Sriina to leave the dwelling first before he quickly followed after.

Once out of the house Sriina heaved a breath of relief. She turned to Ashta and with a little shrug of her shoulders she thanked him. "That... was interesting. Thanks for..." Getting me out... that sounded too harsh. "that."
She laughed and straightened out. "So back to the market then?" She put her hand over her eyes and tried to remember which direction they had come from. "You should probably lead the way." She grinned.
