Mont Blonc's suggestion about not leaving a paper trail made sense to the curly-haired senshi and he quickly agreed with the page. "Sure, that's no problem either." Actually, he preferred it - meeting with someone face to face as opposed to electronically - he just figured that would have been the easiest way to go about things. But if his new friend didn't want to go that route, he was totally fine with it. "I have time, usually in the evenings or on Sundays." Because he had a civilian life that he cherished and worked around as much as humanly possible. One he tried to keep separate from his powered life, though that did not often work out for him...Thraen knew his civilian identity, as did Castor, Ganymede, Gunn and Ploutonion. Perhaps Mont Blonc would end up among that number, since it was safer to not be powered up and in clusters. If only the Page had any idea how long it had taken for him to get to this point - sure, he'd always been a bit of a scrapper (mostly out of necessity, being both somewhat pretty and also into ballet as a child and teen) but that didn't exactly prepare one for fighting magical monsters and their commanders. Sailor Aegir was a defensive senshi that had learned to wield his shield like a sword to survive...it was something he'd come to accept. But yes, in many ways he was better suited to being part of this crazy war; he hated bullies, had no issues throwing himself headlong into the fray, and he didn't know when - or how - to quit. "Yeah, y'know, words." The voice lilting down was light and feminine but also mocking and full of scorn even as it was being amplified and distorted by the narrow confines. "Dunno, Saturn's rings? The price of tea...your favorite book." Aegir was being a bit snarky, but he couldn't help himself from it any more than he could help looking Amphitrite over when she dropped down before them. Her youth was as unsurprising as it was sad - they were all children when they started, not fully formed or grown but thrust into some intergalactic war for the Earth against an enemy they weren't prepared for... couldn't be prepared for. "Well, you're right about part of it. I'd like to know your name." His tone seemed to intimate that the rest - what was she doing there, why not come back to the light side - wasn't within his interests (though it was, but he could pretend otherwise). With slow, careful movements he shifted to a more defensive position; corrupted senshi were still an oddity to him, but he'd learned to not underestimate any part of the Negaverse...even the ones that had once been on their side. "C'mon, I'd like to know the name of my opponent if I'm fighting. And we are, aren't we? Cause you're spoiling for it, aren't you?"

Mont Blonc was many things; stoic wasn't exactly one of his claims to fame. He flashed a toothy, exhuberant smile when Aegir went along with it, clearly thrilled. "Any time is fine with me, " and when he realized how quickly he blurted that out, trying not to make himself seem too desperate or anything like that, he added with a helpless little shrug of his shoulder, "I'm not starting college until the fall, so... until I find a job or something, I'm kind of full of free time." Reading, as usual, was taking up most of his free time. More than it should have; if he devoted as much time to the job hunt he'd been so gung ho about when he left, he probably would've had something by now.
"Cute, " the corrupt senshi mocked in turn, her hands sliding to her hips and a smirk on her face. Pity he wasn't one of theirs, really - this one was a bit entertaining, wasn't he? "Amphitrite." Most senshi tended to throw out their spheres; she opted not to. Some element of surprise couldn't hurt. She began to circle them with slow, deliberate steps, measuring the pair of them from up close. The page was one thing, but the senshi clearly knew what he was doing. There would likely be no opening on his part.
But maybe in this case, there being two would be a detriment rather than a favor. Never hurt to try one's limits. "And you are?"

He would just chuckle at Mont Blonc's exuberance with regards to their next meeting, not because he thought it was extraneous or weird, but because it was exciting to him too. It wasn't every day that he was able to not only make a friend but make one that was in the same sort of sphere as he was. Saturn!bros!!! So exciting! Also, he was pretty into sharing information, so...if he could pass along some things to get another powered person more situated? He would do it. Happily. "Yeah? What're you going to be studying, if you don't mind my asking?" Because Aegir knew that many of the powered people roaming about wanted to keep as much of their civilian life separated as possible. Amphitrite mocking him didn't rattle the blonde senshi at all, he just rolled his eyes at her. "Okay. Amphitrite, I'm Aegir and this guy's Mont Blonc...and I guess we'll be your opponents for this fight." She was right, Aegir knew what he was doing - at least enough to be a problem for her - and he was wary as hell and ready for her to make a move. The circling he followed, shifting his body so that he was always facing her straight on. "You sure you wanna dance? I'm still willing to talk things out." Aegir's smile was wide and toothy, eyes narrowed. "No? Okay then. Don't say I didn't warn you." He lunged for her, throwing a punch that he telegraphed clearly - like he didn't want to hit her, but wanted her to know that he could do so. Aegir didn't have any issues with hitting a girl, if they were spoiling for a fight the way Amphitrite was....but he did want to give her another chance to back out before actively engaging the pair of Saturn!bros.

Luckily for everyone involved, Mont Blonc wasn't too shy about sharing the nitty gritty details - with his family abroad, there wasn't really anything left here to protect besides people like him. "Environmental studies, " he declared rather proudly. It probably would've led into a nice long explanation of how he wanted to take it and maybe work in some non-profit organization somewhere, but then the corrupt senshi sort of happened.
Even if she hadn't seen the kind of training she had, Amphitrite was sure she still would have seen the hit coming. The introductions - useless - washed over her like a stale wave, but this was something she could lose herself to.
She dodged the punch with a smooth side-step, and the corrupt bought her own hand forward, aiming consciously for the senshi's chest - she'd heard a little about how to do it. It shouldn't be hard; it was something that should come naturally from everything she'd heard.
Naturally.
The agony that ripped through her when Leucite, when Laurelite, had --
Before she could ever make contact (or not), the corrupt senshi's face contorted briefly into a look of horror. She took an awkward half-step back, and before anyone could react, Mont Blonc's hand wrapped around her forearm to pull her away from Aegir.
Amphitrite's face twisted into a snarl, her heart still pounding from a combination of anger and fear as she whirled on the page.

Truly, they were going to have to get together again to talk about all this stuff! Especially since that weird shell-clad corrupted senshi seemed about as likely to allow them to be as a hungry dog would let a bowl of kibble go unmolested. Amphitrite side-stepped his admittedly - and purposefully - shoddy punch and brought her hand up in trajectory for the absolute center of his chest. My starseed, this b***h is going right for the kill, isn't she? Not ******** today, lady. But really, he'd committed himself to the punch; gravity and inertia worked against him stopping, pulling back and protecting that most precious thing. It would be all he could do to deflect with his other arm., to send her reaching fingers sliding from his breast bone down where she (hopefully) could do no damage. "Tch--" Aegir caught himself and pulled up short even as his brain registered the horrified look on her face, the way she froze and her fingers twitched uselessly. Oh my god, she wasn't always Amphitrite... The thought rocked the Senshi of Silence and he stared stupidly as Monty grasped her arm and pulled; an action that apparently snapped her back to present reality and incensed her. "Golden Hush!" Not on his watch would Mont Blonc be injured - not if he could help it! The senshi's magic swelled up around him, golden and glowing warmly before forming a rope that wound it's way around Amphitrite's upper torso, pinning one of her arms to her body tightly. His magic took not only her mobility but her voice and even the very air from her lungs. though that part wouldn't last long. The rope, however, would stay until he let go. "Touch my friend and I'll make you sorry for it!"

Mont Blonc exhaled sharply, not even trying to hide his relief when Aegir made a move to contain the girl. Not that it felt good to watch the corrupt senshi recoil and try to jerk her arm away, less to strike back than to clutch at her throat. Not that it came from there, but it was her first gut response when her breath was swept away.
Surprise didn't suit her, and so it wasn't a look that lasted long. She glared at them both, just as angry with herself for being careless enough to end up in a situation like this. But then, with teeth gritted, she smiled almost sweetly, tilting her hand to a side before stomping hard on the page's foot with her shell laced heel. He yelped, his grip slackening just slightly, and she made an attempt to fling herself at the tall man - hoping that she could drag the stupid senshi with her surge of movement, or at least surprise him enough to get the slack she needed to slip away.
Syrie Feel free to do whatever here! biggrin

Aegir's magic wasn't always the most pleasant thing to observe; he knew this. He also knew that choosing to not utilize what he had available in the pursuit of Right was just not something he could do, so when he had the chance, he used his magic. It wasn't much good, but sometimes it served a purpose. Like just then - keeping Amphi from perhaps shoving her hand into Mont Blonc's chest, or clawing at his face or something. "You'll get your air back, just settle down." The pretty corrupt senshi steadied herself and then smiled at them in a manner that told Aegir he was in for a fight. Come on, just give up, holy s**t -- she is feisty as hell, isn't she!? Poor Mont Blonc yelped as his foot was abused by her pointy goddamned shell heels and she lunged at him again while he was smarting from the pain. "Not gonna happen, girl--" He moved forward with her just enough to wrap more of the holding rope around his hands, then yanked back with all his strength, checking Amphitrite's motion and yanking her back towards Aegir even as he was twisting to haul her around further. Off-balance, the girl snarled soundlessly at him, fingers digging at the ropes around her neck automatically to protect her throat from further abuse. "I told you," The blond senshi started moving in a spiral, using his weight and the ropes to keep her off balance, her heels making an arrhythmic clattering on the concrete as gravity and inertia worked on her. "Touch my friend and I'll make you regret it!" Aegir spun them both around, faster and faster until he finally tossed the female senshi down the alley and towards a half-filled dumpster surrounded by wooden packing crates. The ropes winked out, leaving her able to move freely again - but at least she'd be away from them, unable to do further damage unless she wanted to charge in again. If she did? Aegir was ready. Amphitrite steadied herself against the side of the dumpster, panting for air. She was clutching her neck, glaring back at the senshi and page combination with murderous intent in her eyes. Maybe that made it all the more eerie when she smiled, pushing herself away from the dumpster to stand on her own. "Thanks for that, Aegir. Mont Blonc." She had gone into this to test herself and her limits, not necessarily to win. The corrupt had gotten exactly what she wanted from this battle. "Let's do this again sometime, okay?" She winked and turned, jumping back to the rooftops to head for home.
"Well, wasn't she a real charmer, " Mont Blonc grumbled as he sort of half-walked, half-limped his way a bit closer to Aegir, testing out the soreness of his foot. Really, it was less the foot that ached and more his pride. He really should have been paying more attention from the start.
Although. He felt himself flush a bit when he thought back to what Aegir had just said and done in his defense, and he smiled tentatively at him. "I, uhm... t-thank you, for... " Powered or not, no one had ever defended him like that. Ever. "Just... thank you."

Having Amphitrite glaring at the pair of Saturn!bros as though she'd like nothing better than to sink her hands into the open cavities of their bodies and scramble things around before yanking their starseeds didn't make Aegir flinch. He'd seen worse expressions on tougher enemies than the corrupt senshi before them, but he did shift on his feet, allowing that she was an opponent worthy of respect. Just not fear. But then she seemed to flip a switch - Jeeesus, are ALL Negaverse agents batshit crazy and ******** in their heads? It sure as hell seemed like it. - smiling sweetly at them as she straightened. The thanks given, opposed to crazy swearing and death-threats as were the norm in his experience, were wholly unexpected and made Aegir's expression turn from wary to what the ********. "Anytime, Amphitrite. We'll take you down any time you want." He could have given chase, defeated her totally, but he didn't. Mont Blonc was there and, to be honest, he didn't feel as though she deserved to be mauled. At one point, she'd been one of theirs, that much was clear. Perhaps she was not so far away that she couldn't be brought back? Aegir snerked and turned towards his new friend, grinning. "Cute, but sharp, am I right?" Monty was flushing, either from embarrassment over having gotten heel-stomped, his comment about how she was cute, or something he couldn't fathom. Turned out, it was the latter, which surprised the blond a bit. This guy is shy as hell. Nice though. Totally worth the time. "Hey, no worries. I've got your back, Monty!" "Thanks for having mine, too. She could've been a real handful." Aegir reached out to smack Mont Blonc's upper arm in a friendly manner; he was high on adrenaline and the joy of victory. "Oh, hey. How's your foot? Her heels looked killer."

The page's smile grew bold and he laughed, shaking his head. "Oh no, I didn't do much, but -- your magic is really something, " was that an odd compliment to give? He hoped not, inwardly cringing at the thought. "You shut her down so fast, just... wow." And here he had a pen.
The blush came back, and this time, it was pretty easy to guess why. "T-they were, " he chuckled again, wiggling his toes inside of his boot, cringing a little. "But I'm fine, nothing broken or anything. I really - I probably should've been more careful, " he admitted with a slow exhale of air and a shrug of his shoulders.

Aegir waved off his 'didn't do much' comment, "You did plenty my friend, you've got to give yourself credit where it's due. Fighting another person's totally different from kicking a monster's a**. Those things don't think most of the time, they get sloppy - corrupts and officers? They got brains too, not just fists and suckers or whatever." Had Mont Blonc seen many youma? They could be so goddamned weird. Like humanoid and just creepy or bestial or even completely alien. Tentacles. Suckers. Parts I don't have any idea what to call, even. And they always had that hungry look to them, like wherever they came from, whatever eldritch ******** farm bred the damned things, didn't feed them nearly enough. Ah, his magic. "My magic's pretty useless as anything but an assist, honestly. I've just learned to compensate." The blond's smile was wry, amused, and self-depreciating but also kind of proud. He'd been provided a shield and become a sword anyway. It was an accomplishment. "That's what you gotta learn too. Not all magic ends up being combat effective. 'S why being able to knock someone on their a** is so damn useful." As were the physical upgrades they got; being powered up was actually quite literal. Stronger. Faster. Magically delicious and all that jazz. "We both should've been. Got lucky. She had a clear shot at my starseed," Aegir tapped his chest and shook his head, "If she hadn't flinched back, it could've been really bad. That s**t is not fun." There was no denying how close he'd come to it, Amphitrite could've done it - but then hadn't. He'd seen it done before, it exhausted a body and left you shaking, unsteady. And that was if you somehow survived. So they'd been lucky. And careless. But they were both standing and Monty's instinct had been to step in, which was good. It meant he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty - or if he was, he could manage to work through his fear to action. "Anyway...you're injured and should put that foot up and I'm not interested in meeting another member of the 'will murder for food' club. I say we both call this a night, go home and relax...and then we meet up in like, two days to go over the Primer together?"

Many? - no, not really. A few youma, but less than a handful. The page flushed rather pleasantly at the praise, even if he didn't think he deserved it at all. "Well, thank you. - but I've got to say, " and he would, because Aegir should hear it even if he knew it already, "You're very, what's the word - ah, resourceful, that's it."
He stroked his pen idly as Aegir spoke, wondering what sort of magic it might hold for him someday. It didn't have much to help him now, besides being blunt enough to try and stab with on occasion and pretty handy for writing down some phone numbers. - or he assumed it would be. He hadn't really used it much.
Knocking people down through his own strength... that wasn't something he'd ever done much of. Unless he was caught between a rock and a hard place, anyway. That was a bit different.
When Aegir talked about his starseed, as if by reflex, Mont Blonc's hand mirrored the super's gesture by placing a hand over his own chest. "That really... what a cheap tactic to use." Maybe that was part of his problem; Lorne had always been one for fairness and doing the right thing. Maybe he did what he had to to stay alive, sure. But a ploy like that was just - he shuddered at the thought.
Mont Blonc couldn't help cracking a smile about the 'club', and he held out a hand, because between a meeting and a battle, a handshake seemed to be the most fitting gesture. "Two days, " he repeated with an excited little glint to his eyes, already looking forward to it. "I'll be here."

Oh, he appreciated it, definitely. Had he been a preening bird like a peacock rather than a guy in sheer skirt, he might have puffed his chest and fanned out his tail in appreciation. Thankfully, Aegir was only a peacock in a figurative sense, rather than a literal one, and only the slight bouncing on the balls of his feet betrayed just how much he liked what the page had to say. "Comes with doing this alone for a while when all you've got is support magic." The blond smiled up at Mont Blonc winningly, "Don't worry my friend, you'll get there. I'm happy to try sharing what I know about fighting too...though it's mostly dirty tricks, kicks, and flat out brawling." And yes, he was well aware of the idiosyncrasies inherent between his skimpy costume and his 'hands-on' approach to battle. "Without offensive magic, you either fight or you die. If you didn't already know that." Indeed, reaching for one's starseed was a cheap tactic, but it wasn't much worse than anything else the Negaverse did and the blond said as much, "Cheap, but effective. They'll use every dirty trick in the book to take us down...we don't have the luxury of fighting cleanly if we want to survive." "And believe me, they have some really charming and persuasive people on their team." Eye candy too, if he were honest...and he usually was. Mont Blonc was an interesting fellow, to be sure; Aegir took the offered hand and gave one of his standard "at work" handshakes as etiquette demanded. "Two days. You take care of yourself until then Monty." With an answering smile and then a wink, the blond turned and headed off with a leap that put him atop the building Amphitrite had been lurking atop only a short time previous. The senshi of silence glanced over his shoulder once more at Mont Blonc, teeth flashing in the low light. "See you 'round!" And then he was off and running, effortlessly navigating the rooftops away from his new friend.
