A smile from her sister was all it took to encourage Inkungu further. She knew Intuthu wasn't quite as eager to start a family in their new home, but she assumed that her sister was also checking out the new male. She was studying the joining group after all, what else was there to look at? She could see at least one more male in the joining group, but she wasn't going to get her hopes up in case it was another Ahluke...
"Look at his scars," she cooed, not bothering to whisper anymore, "I bet he's a good fighter. He's quite good looking, don't you think?"
She looked from one Umholi to the other. One of the females from the joining group had more or less pounched on Umholi Andhaka. He must be popular... Or perhaps that female was really friendly.
"I mean, Umholi Andhaka is very striking too," she said, "Do you think they're going to fight?"
--- Inyoka'dla had patiently trailed the group of lions, in hope of more slithery food left around. As the two groups started to merge the secretary bird walked closer on her stilt like legs. These lions were good luck, so maybe more lions were even better. She'd found plump and tasty lizards while the lions rested in a rocky place, and associated the chance finds with the group of lions. Just this morning the moving group had upset a harmless grass snake from its resting place, and the sharp eyed bird had made short work of it. Some of the lionesses had jokingly called the bird Inyoka'dla, snake eater.

Nama spared a look at Esasile and brushed the other female's attitude off. "I trust our protectors to do what is best for us all, and that means getting along. If I was proposing lifting my tail already, I would have said something entirely different." For the moment it was time to get on the male's good side and help him with his wounds. She would get to the idea of cub bearing activities later. He looked like he might not be up for that at the moment anyway. Nama turned her full attention back to the new male. "I would be happy to help you with what you cannot reach. We would not wish to lose you to an infection when Umama Simosihle has only just brought you to us." She decided to start really looking the wounds over now that the males did not appear ready to attach each other. He certainly appeared to have quite a few on his back and legs, but the lioness was happy to see that nothing appeared to be too serious. She was sure the other females had been taking good care of him on the way back to the main pride.

Bangizwe shook his head, his mane fluffing slightly from the action. Flies, pesky things that enjoys the puddles the littered the ground a little too much. The buzzing was an annoying sound, but it was something he had to deal with. The group of lionesses grew as the time passed as they began to approach him, though it was obvious not all were comfortable with his presence. Not that he could blame them. He was easily a head taller than Andhaka and larger too, but the red lion could easily outmatch him in his current condition.
The offer of grooming became even more appealing as the flies continued their flight, landing on his wounds every now and again only to scared away by biting motion the golden Umholi. Infection, something he had seen kill even the largest, most powerful lions, was something he did not want from the pesky, invading insects. That was not how the golden male wanted to die.
As the sun continued it's ascent into the sky, Bangizwe hoped he would become a little better acquainted with a few of the lionesses. They were certainly beautiful to look at and their questions for him proved their intelligence as well, both things he admired greatly. The air around the entire group began to heat, the moisture in the air causing the overall humidity to increase and it seemed even some of the zebra in the distance were attempting to stay cool, with many rolling in the muddy ground and others seeking shelter in the shade of the few trees.
It seemed though that Andhaka was still not overly excited for his arrival, even with the Umama vouching for him and it wasn't as though Bangizwe could blame him. "Perhaps we should...talk, Andhaka." The language adjustment was hard on him, his words were choppy and the syllables were oddly pronounced, but they were hopefully able to be discerned easily enough by the other Umholi. Getting to know one another, would be best, ease whatever tension was there. That had been one thing suggested to him on the way back, but only if the meeting didn't automatically produce violence.
[OOC]
Sorry for the huge delay guys. I'm still getting back into the swing of things, but I'm hoping to do a few more ORPs now that there are cubs and adolescents running around.
I will be ending this ORP officially on the 5th. So please, quote people you respond to so they can hopefully quickly reply. This also includes me. - I'm going to be quoting everyone who has posted in this ORP as well.
I'd also like to remind everyone that anyone can host an ORP if they way. <3 Official ones are just run by Meep and I, they're just for furthering the overall pride in some way.
I added in one of the prizes, moving it from the Adopt-a-Lion since she had 0 people interested in her.

Andhaka dipped his head in recognition of Namandla's greeting, but his eyes were fixed on Bangizwe, at least until Njalo'sasa whomped against him. At least someone was happy to see him! Though affection was not something he was overly familiar with, he did return it, albeit stiffly, shifting his weight and lowering his head to bump it against hers with a barely-heard rumble. If she actually liked him - granted, she seemed to like pretty much everyone - he wasn't going to give her reason to change her mind by rebuffing her gesture. "It is good that you've returned, Njalo. You have been missed." Nostrils flared, and he regarded her a little more critically. "You're injured. You should rest." His attention returned to the 'new Umholi,' as Simo referred to him, and others who had been with the group vouched for the golden male. Andhaka's expression remained carefully neutral, though his gaze lingered on the newcomer. He listened to everyone who spoke, ears flicking attentively, but he watched Bangizwe unflinchingly. "Yes, we should," he agreed at last. "Perhaps after Namandla finishes with you."

Nema was glad to see that their red male was willing to play nice with the newcomer. "I would gladly let you have him first, Andhaka, but I do not think we should lose time in mending him. If he is agreeable, we can send him to you as soon as he is cleaned up." She might not be a high ranking female of any sort, but she felt the common sense of her words would be acknowledged by the higher ups. She also knew it would not be only she that helped the male with his wounds, as there were others more skilled with healing that would need to look him over as well. Nema waited for others to lead the way to getting a start on things, whether that would be the new male, or other females, she didn't care. She just was not going to have herself be seen as stepping above her own place. She needed to be the best lioness she could in her pride, and that meant not stepping on too many paws in a day.

Kokumo still hung back, but so far her fears hadn't been realised. No one had attacked and no one was dead. The two males were going to talk, and Bangizwe would get his would seen too. There were others in the party that would also need some attention, and she felt annoyed that the new male got more attention than the wounded pride sisters. She gave a silent nod of approval as Andhaka noticed that Nja was also hurt.
She looked around for any family member she could see, hoping to find some comfort together with them. They might be worried too, and they must have been wondering what had happened during the rescue mission. --- Jasiri had stepped back slightly to allow Nja and Andhaka more room for the greeting process. Tension was still in the air, but it had defused to a point where he didn't expect any fighting to be done here and now. He relaxed a little bit, but didn't let his guard down yet. This could go either way, but hopefully the two males would be able to sort everything out through talking and without the need for battle. --- "No, it doesn't look like there'll be fighting," Inkungu said, still narrating the happenings despite the fact that her sister had eyes to see with. "I wonder what they'll talk about. They used to have many more Umholi before, right? This must be a good thing!"
The grey lioness had heard some of the pride history during their short stay, but she didn't stop her lack of knowledge from talking about it. She was sure she'd heard many names of old Umholi, but she was not sure if they'd ruled together or after one another.

Nema took a moment while waiting to give Njalo'sasa a nuzzle. "You need help too, Nja?" If she was already volunteering to help the new male she certainly could volunteer to help one of the few females she really thought of as a friend. The fact that Njalo was probably EVERYBODY's friend was besides the point. Nema needed a few friends and didn't have many at all. Besides, she liked the other lioness' energy and enthusiasm.

This red striped lion was....a little unnerving to say the least, but Bangizwe supposed he understood why exactly he was being watching so carefully. At least this other male seemed to speak a little bit of the common tongue, that would make their future conversation much easier than him trying to discern each word and falling behind.
"We?" The golden male asked, glancing to Nemandla with a quirk of his brow. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a few of the other lionesses begin to approach him. The corners of his mouth tugged upward to start a smile. It seemed even this lioness that was so intent on grooming him knew she would not be alone in those wishing to help. Without much complaining on his part, Bangizwe was nudged away from the conversation and towards the actual resting area the pride was in.
Glancing back, he saw the others fussing over the other injured lionesses and with good reason. They were a family and their family was hurt. Not as much to his fault though, but still hurt and he couldn't blame anyone for thinking he had something to do with actually inflicting those wounds. As he settled beneath the umbrella tree, Bangizwe was assaulted with questions as the lionesses began seeing to his wounds, one even putting a few leaves atop one of them. He could only guess it had some sort of medicinal purposes behind it.
First he would be cleaned, then he would have his talk with Andhaka. His health came first though. Settling into the affection he receive from the lionesses, Bangizwe let his head drop down onto his paws, his mouth stretching as he yawned. Fatigue was finally catching up with him it seemed.
[OOC]
Welp, I failed even ending an ORP. orz
This is now officially finished, but you may continue posting if you need to get your post count up since there's still plenty of room for others to post. Posts after this one do not count towards the raffle so I will be rolling it shortly. I may do one more post after this if anyone wants to interact with Bangizwe.
Thank you all for participating and I hope to see you in the next ORP!

Watching the goings-on in silence, Ithunzi slowly swished her tail behind her. While she had only really known of the previous Abaholis' reign, this did not quite feel like the way things were supposed to be. But the new male bore obvious wounds and seemed to be held in high esteem by the lionesses accompanying him, so it appeared that he had proven his strength in some capacity. His more traditional coloring would please many, at least.
With a small mental shrug, she approached the newcomer. "I can assist, if you want," she stated, regarding him and Nema steadily. It would not do to lose another Umholi so soon, especially to something they could take steps to prevent.
