Hikaru responded in fluent Japanese. "Yes I'm from a small town in Japan. I was raised by my brother." He smiles. "He taught me everything I know in terms of language, art, and even fighting." He remembers those days long ago feeling a bit of nostalgia too. "I loved Japan, especially Kyoto. Something About Kyoto made me feel at home, I can't quite put my finger on it." He raises his hand to his chin pondering. "So what town or city are you from Aki?" He asks diverting the focus back on his roommate.

`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ The boy couldn't help but smile hearing his roommate speak Japanese. He could definitely understand Hikaru's love of Kyoto. It was incredible place, though Aki never could stay there for very long. There were too many shrines, too much religion in one concentrated place. Even though he knew that his Father couldn't set foot in a place where religion was so strong, and that it wouldn't hurt him, he inherited his Grandmother's paranoia. "Oh! I'm from Atami." He replied. "Kinda sucked during the summer. Way too many tourists. During the summer, my grandmother let me stay with my Aunt Miu in Osaka. It's definitely one of my favorite places."

Hikaru perked up at the mention of Atami. He flopped down on his bed and put his arms behind his head for support. "I can see what you mean about Atami." He laughs remembering the times when he himself has visited Atami. "Always so crowded, even if there wasn't a break from school. Like this one time I ditched school just to go, and the amount of tourists was ridiculous! After that I decided Osaka or Tokyo was a better idea."

`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ Aki laughed, sitting with his back to the wall. "Oh yeah. All the rich businessmen who decided that the hot springs were there new favorite places." He sighed, rolling his eyes. "School was a good place to be, honestly. You got away from the tourists." Head popping up, he looked over at Hikaru. "Did you ever spend a night on Tashirojima or Ōkunoshima? One of my friends and I actually got to spend a week on both islands because each of his sisters lived on on the islands."

Hikaru laughed at the mention of the islands."Ha! I wish, after that whole facade of playing hooky at school my brother tore up my boarding pass for the train, and forbade me from ever traveling alone again. From then on, I had to walk all the way to school, a full 10 miles mind you!" He smirked at the thought of his crazy older brother. "Although now that I'm here at Black Rose, he might let me go when we're on break. I hear they're a great place to relax."

`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ "Oh gosh, I couldn't imagine that!" He said, chuckling as he spoke. "My Grandma never let me walk to school. She always thought I'd just...Fall over and die on the way there, so I was homeschooled. When I did go to public school, we lived across the street and she escorted me. Every. Morning." Hearing Hikaru talk about going during break, he smiled. "That might happen. I'd love to go back over break, but going to Japan means visiting my Grandma, and that means seeing my Father again and its just..." He sighed and rolled his eyes. "Far too much. But, they are great places to relax and just. Hit your reset button, so to speak. Warning, if you plan to stay the night there, either have a tent that zips up and is incredibly durable, if you're not staying with a native, or be ready to wake up to a tent full of cats or bunnies."

' Hikaru looked up a bit surprised. "C-cats or bunnies? Why those?" He sat there looking at Aki with a dumbfounded expression. "Do they just wander into your tent?" He laughs and gets up off the bed. He reaches into a box and pulls out a chip bag to snack on. "By the way, since you are part vampire, do I have to worry about my neck at all?" He looks at Aki with a hand behind his head.

`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ Aki chuckled at the look on Hikaru's face. "Well, yeah. Tashirojima is populated mainly by wild bunnies, and Ōkunoshima has a larger wild cat population than it's human population. Because of all the tourists, they're incredibly comfortable with people so..." Aki laughed, covering his face. "I left my tent set up outside after my friend had invited me in during a freak rainstorm, and I came back to a literal sleeping bag full of rabbits." His face was red at the thought, remembering when he unzipped the tent and out came a wave of rabbits who had gotten into it through a hole in the back. "Oh, no!" He shook his head. "I take supplement pills and get blood from blood banks. I don't drink from people unless asked." At this, the boy let the corner of his lip tip up in a small, smug smirk.

He laughed at the story. "Yeah that's good to know. Sucking my blood could be... Problematic." He smirks. "I come from an interesting lineage of people. I don't want to really talk about it, I always get into some form of trouble when someone finds out." He recollects all the times he's had to fight out of a situation because of his ancestors, and shudders.

`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ "Definitely. That, and drinking blood from a live person gets so messy." Aki shudders at the last memory of drinking blood "straight from the tap" as his Father would say. It was an awful experience. Blood got all over everything, and he had to get rid of the entire outfit. "Oh, that sounds...troublesome." Aki frowned, sharp fang biting at his lower lip. "I hope things improve, eventually," he said.

Hikaru chuckles a little "Enough about dark brooding pasts am I right?" He smiles. "It's our first day here! First time to be self sufficient! It's a time to celebrate!" He gets up and stretches. "You coming?" He asked Aki pointing with his thumb to the door. "I wanna tour this place for a bit. I hear this school has an awesome campus! And a...colorful student body."

`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ Aki smiled at Hikaru, nodding in agreement. "Definitely. Anything's better than being locked in here," he said, hopping up. Grabbing the handle for his air tank container, he unlocked the wheels on it and adjusted the output of oxygen, making sure he had enough to be out and about. Of course, he could just take another tank but...He sighed. Standing back up. No, they'd be back before he ran out. Yanking it across the carpeted floor, he looked over at Hikaru. "I heard there's a garden on the roof. I'd love to check it out." Aki also grabbed a baggy, dark hoodie, pulling it over his body and flipping the hood up. "I know you said it's cloudy, but I can never be too careful."

Hikaru smiled and nodded understanding the predicament. "Don't worry about it, clouds part eventually, and you don't want to be there when that sunshine comes down without preparations." He held the door open for Aki and followed behind him. They climbed many flights of stairs before reaching the top. There were instances that Hikaru had to stop for Aki, not that he didn't mind. Once reaching the rooftop, they came onto this rooftop garden.
