Chailee was happy to listen to Tony's story. It allowed them to get off the topic of the damaged book but also gave her the chance to learn more about the librarian and Chaonis. Needless to say that her imagination did a good job of painting an epic portrait in her mind of Camelot jumping in to save Chaonis and then the two of them realizing the other's identities. It was all extremely impressive the way that Chay pictured it. She was so caught up in her little imagery that the flicker on Tony's face went completely unnoticed. "Oh yea! That would have been really tough if either of you had been on Chaos's side." She didn't want her active imagination to try and create that scenario in her mind though and quickly cut it off. That was when her mind jumped to something else. She paused for a moment, giving their current conversation a chance to end before completely switching gears and topics. "Um, Tony...I need to learn how to fight. I mean, like...real fighting. I've never had to do anything like that before and after...well...after that night I realized how little I know to keep myself and others safe. So um, could you teach me? Or maybe you can tell me who to go to?"

Camelot nodded his head. He could only imagine what sort of wickedness he might get up to if Chaos took control of him. To him, that was a fate worse than death, and he could not imagine suffering it. After seeing that 'future', and what became of his son, he was determined to keep Chaos away from both of them.
He was still thinking about that when she changed the subject, though it was close enough, in his head, to what he had been thinking about that it did not seem jarring.
"Fighting? Well. I could teach you a little, but I only fight when I have to do so. I prefer talking and defending others, keeping them from danger, rather than leaping into it. Of course, we both know someone whose name literally is Danger. He likes fighting, and training others, so maybe Chaonis can help you, too?"
He was capable as a fighter, but it had never been his favorite thing. Nathan, on the other hand, seemed to thrive on hurting others. When he was younger, he was getting into fights all the time. Now, at least, he had a good place to focus all that energy.
And if he could help someone else in the process, so much the better.

Chailee shifted a little uncomfortably thinking about training with Chaonis. She didn't have any qualms with him. She just still felt embarrassed from her first meeting with him and now that she was also a senshi it caused her emotions to flare up even more. And truthfully, even if she hadn't been a senshi then, it was, in her mind, an indicator of how little she knew about defending herself. "I don't really like the idea of fighting. I mean...I knew it was something that would have to happen when I became a senshi and I thought I was prepared for it...but..." She sighed. "I wasn't. I've met some nice people so far and even a Nega who...well...he wasn't what I expected really." She smiled a little at the memory of that evening with Merlinite. "I'd really like to just not have to fight but I don't want to feel helpless again. I want to be able to protect people and I can't do it the way I am now." The young girl poured her heart out to Tony. She had a lot on her mind and had no one to talk to about it. She usually would go to her parents, especially her father but talking about her life as a senshi wasn't something she could just nonchalantly bring up in conversation. After all approaching them and being all 'So, to make along story short I fight evil people who want to take over the world and during one of those fights is how I got beat up so badly' probably wouldn't go over so well. Tony on the other hand was someone that she just felt she could be completely trusting of. Maybe it was because he was older and reminded her of her father in a way, or because he had saved her. Either way she was willing to openly and quite gratefully trust the man. She looked up at Tony and gave a small smile. "So...yea. If you think Chaonis might help me I'd like to meet him again. Does he come to the library at all?"

Tony listened thoughtfully, definitely familiar with the thoughts she was having. Fighting was not easy. Be it because of physical limitations, or just the hesitation to do damage: it could be difficult for many different reasons. And for more than one at a time.
"Some of the Negaverse can seem nice, and some of them genuinely are. But you always have to be careful around them," he couldn't help the gentle warning, feeling like a protective parent already, and just fussing over her because he was worried.
He could not protect them all from every small thing, but it would not stop him from sharing a thousand warnings and offering all the help he could.
"Being prepared for the worst is a good thing to do. So training, and knowing how to defend yourself, is a wise choice that you're smart to make. Don't feel guilty about needing to know how to fight: just make your own choices about when to use that knowledge. Being able to do damage doesn't mean you have to do it all the time. You will find the balance between keeping yourself safe, and doing the things you believe in."
He spoke quietly, but there was still a lot of belief and emphasis in his tone.
"I can make sure Chaonis stops by the library soon, if you'd like."

Tony's warning certainly didn't fall on deaf ears. Chailee was taking everything in. Any sort of help she could get was welcomed even if it was just imparted advice. After all, it was another method of learning though certainly not one that everyone heeded. "I'll make sure to be more careful now." That lesson was one she certainly wasn't going to forget anytime soon. "I don't...necessarily feel guilty. Just...unsure about myself." And that was the heart of the problem. Chailee's confidence had been rocked...hard. She nodded in affirmative to meeting Chaonis at the library. "That would be perfect." Despite her uneasiness about it Chailee smiled. She knew deep down that this could be a big help to her if Chaonis was willing to offer some training. "I can make sure to pop in often to find out when he can come."

"Alright, then that will be a good meeting for you both, then. I'm sure he won't mind. He's a good kid, despite his best efforts to pretend otherwise."
Tony chuckled and then sighed, looking around. He had been chatting for a bit, but there was always work to be done, and he couldn't avoid that forever. Even if he did own this place, and could do whatever he wanted, technically. He was just obligated to serve, regardless of the context.
As a Knight or as a Librarian.
"Alright, I think I've probably kept you long enough, hm? You can always find me at the library, whenever you might need to." He meant that as a civilian, and as a knight. He started his patrols on the roof, after all, though these days, as he recovered, he finished them there, too.

Chailee nodded an affirmative. "He seemed really nice back in the park that night." She smiled and tucked a stray piece of hair back behind her ear. The curls always had a tendency to get in her face during certain motions. "You've just managed to help me waste time here." She laughed. "But thank you again for...well you know, and helping me now. I should get to the book I picked out to read." Chailee hesitated a moment before rushing forward and giving Tony a brief hug before hurrying off to her little nook that she had claimed as her own. There she picked up her chosen book, nestled into the cozy chair and sighed contently as she opened the book to the first page.

Tony smiled as she hugged him, patting her reassuringly before she skittered away from him to go and read. It left him standing there with a smile on his face. Clearing his throat, he chuckled and wandered back toward the front desk.
It would be a long walk, but he decided he had earned a sit down for now, after being up and about for so long. Anyway, he was feeling pretty good, and did not really want to ruin that by working.
